This mud buggy ride is great adventure for about 3 hours the trail follows some small ponds along the way through 2 to 3 stops. My tour guide Chiho was great took me through a village art and craft center then lunch at the beach before we headed back to the starting point. A few things though, get ready to be muddy and wet, get ready to get exhausted from the bumpy ride and also get ready to have some fun. I recommend Chino for the tour guide also make sure to get prepared to eat good.

This tour was a blast. We had a wonderful time. Best excursion we did so far in Puerta Plata. Be prepared to get wet and splased.

The buddy's where old not maintained, seatbelts also not functioning. Then the tour more consisted of us stopping and shopping then actually having fun on the buddy's. Did not get our money's worth.
Didn’t know where to find it. Would like more information on that. We ended having a security guard call them. Definitely rent goggles and bring a bandanna.

This was the best experience ever! The guides were awesome! We got picked up outside cruise port so it was a bit of walk but worth it. They provided lockers for your things. They will get wet and muddy ALL OF IT WILL. Bring water shoes, cash and phones for photos. Leave the rest. Goggles are an extra $5. You make a couple of stops. First one they give you some island education and samples of tea, mamajuna, and fruit from the island. There are shops and drinks for purchase here as well. A bit pricey. But remember this is how they make a living. The second stop is at beach where I ran like crazy to jump in. Water was beautiful. There’s food and drinks for purchase here. The food is fantastic as always. Mofungo, ceviche, fresh fish. I will definitely do this again when I go back!

Super buggy was a great excursion. The xuv course was thrilling. The water hazards left you drenched so, I would recommend wearing bathing suits and water shoes/crocs or something to that effect. They rent goggles but I recommend you bring a gaiter or bandana from home to cover your mouth/nose. Super Buggy sells action pics/video of you driving all along the course that you can purchase. I may post a couple when I get off this cruise. Also be prepared to walk to the pick up spot it’s a little bit of a hike. I highly recommend this excursion for those wanting to get a few thrills and chills in the form of an off road adventure. Adults will love this just as much as kids will love it.

Crew was amazing but please take goggles and a rag for your mouth dusty but fun wear water shoes bring a water bottle.

This was an awesome experience!!! All the guides were super cool, fun and most of all safe. We had a great time!!! You will get wet, so wear something like a swimsuit. Lastly, I made a mistake on my reservation and Samuel was so accommodating!!! He was responsive and helpful! I would definitely do this excursion again if I return to Dominican Republic!

Great excursion. There is a bit of a walk from the cruise ship and you will have to wait until the other guests arrive. YOU WILL GET WET! Make sure to wear something you are okay with getting soaked. Bring goggles and something to cover your mouth from the water and dust. Would DEFINITELY do it again!

This excursion was an absolute blast! They picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel. It was kind of a private Excursion because nobody else had signed up for it. You get really wet! Our guide called himself sexy chocolate and was great. Our driver was Javier, who got us to and from the excursion. Very nice gentleman. It was amazing seeing the countryside and also a little taste of the locals. Once at the first stop, Jose gave us a tour of the property showing us all kinds of different trees , wildlife, and pets. The only negative about the excursion, is once we get to the countryside, they try very hard to continue to sell you something. However , this excursion comes Highly recommend by myself and my nephew.

We had such an amazing time!!! We laughed and had so much fun! The staff was friendly and very helpful! Our guides were Javier and Babyface and our photographer who got us some amazing photos was named Sexy chocolate!
I would highly recommend! Make sure to bring some goggles and a face covering or rent them there. I wouldn’t advise wearing white!

Pros: A fun buggy ride through a river bed area. Speed & lots of water. Prepare to be drenched. There was a fun break at a nice local beach that was nice. Overall good fun.
Cons: Did not like the last-second upsale for a bandana to cover your mouth and goggles for your eyes for the dust and water. $5 extra. These should have been provided as part of the package if needed. I used my sunglasses and pulled up my T-shirt over my mouth/nose.
They should have at least communicated beforehand to bring these items and/or let you know there would be a surcharge instead of being surprised just before the event.
Also didn’t like the stop off to the MamaJuana snake-oil shake down and community flea market. A clear attempt to extract more money from the guests. I’d would have rather spent more time riding the buggies.

For transparency, we’ve now added a note to the tour details explaining that bandanas and goggles are optional and not included, and that guests are welcome to bring their own if preferred.
Regarding the stop for local mamajuana and the small community market, this is intended as a short cultural break and an opportunity to support local vendors. That said, we understand not everyone enjoys this part, and we’ll review the timing to keep the main focus on riding.

Great experience! The team was attentive to our needs and helped when one of the buggies got stuck. When they say keep the speed up in the water holes, they mean keep your speed up. Great stops for the community and shops. Great stop at the beach. The goggles do cost extra - $5 per pair. You will need them. We brought our own masks for nose/mouth. We wore water shoes so we did not ruin good shoes or have to carry wet shoes back to the cruise ship. Bring cash for masks, souvenirs and for the picture package. Cost of picture package was worth it, but we had to pay via a card and the price was 18% more to use a credit card. GREAT TIME! Guides were fun and would 100% join them again!

The guide was polite and effective, we had a little confusion at the pickup site, but once we were on our way everything went smoothly. The buggys were amazing fun! We loved splashing through the mud and water. We brought our own bandanas, but they sold them there for $5/each. They also rented goggles there for $5)each, but we also brought our own goggles as well.

We had a fantastic time and Chino made sure we had a fantastic time and understood exactly how much time we had at each stop. The parents who were riding 4-wheelers were first in line for safety & those of adults looking to get good and dirty...well mission accomplished. We have shared videos with friends who are definitely adding this to their list.
Recommendations: Although there is an option for pick up from port, I would recommend simply taking a cab to their location just a couple miles away. It was an experience trying to ask people outside of the port where to find our meet up location which was just a spot on the sidewalk of the highway. I also recommend having smaller bills available for the purchases you may want to make & tipping throughout the trip.

Great time with my daughter. You will definetely get dirty. The buggys are fun. Bring a bandana and closed shoes. Bring a change of clothes. The beach was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I would highly recommend this excursion.
Some things to note, bring goggles. It will be hard to see with regular sunglasses. You’re going to get wet- soaked! Be prepared to have fun with that.
Our tour was to start at 8 AM, we stood there for 45 minutes waiting for other people to show up… when they arrive, they told us they were to show up at 9 AM.
It did go longer than it was supposed to as well.
None of this is a problem just be prepared. You will have a wonderful time and you will make it back to your cruise ship on time.
I would’ve appreciated knowing that I needed to be there at nine rather than 8 AM in the morning but all is well.
We were also very hungry by the time we got back so if you have the opportunity to bring a snack, I would recommend it.

Note from the Royal port you need to exit the port area and cross the street to the mass of outside vendors. Watch signs. Our driver was not present but super buggy shirts called. Note: before going take a face covering/mask works great - and your personal goggles. These were both considered extra charges and imho should be included in the tour cost. There were tip bins as you went along the tour - sustainability was interesting - allowed to pay at end or cash at - drive was fun - photos were an additional cost as well - be prepared for requests for tips at end, photos charges and the cash payment at beginning for goggle and mask. So for the Viator tour plan on an additional cash grab of over $100. Preparation!!

Very disappointing experience. We paid a very high amount so that a third person could accompany us on the tour and, during the trip, the buggy broke down in the middle of the road. Instead of offering an adequate solution, they switched us to a two-seater buggy and the third person had to do the rest of the tour with the guide, so we could not enjoy the experience together.
