Valera is a First class guide and will adapt the itinerary to your requirements. He explained all the attractions on offer and then asked us what we would like to do and what we were interested in. Subsequently the tour was tailored specifically for us. Perfect !
Excellent air conditioned vehicle makes the trip extremely comfortable.

We enjoyed are trip. Chepe was a great tour guide. 5 stars. He will take you almost anywhere you wanna and suggests places you can go. He never forces you to go anywhere. It's a completely custom experience. Definitely recommend!

Fermine was the best! He had a lot of personality, and he took us to places that are off the beaten path. It was very interesting to see some of the things he showed us. Of course, we got to see all of the wonderful tourist places in puerto plata and we had a great seaside lunch. I highly recommend these guys.They're the best!

Valera did a great job even though the weather did not cooperate. We had heavy rain and even some flooding. He took us and pointed things out and told us about the area and the country, but due to the torrential rain, we were stuck with just driving tour. I would do it again if we are back some time in the future.

We had a wonderful day. There was only the 2 of us and Chepe took great care of us. He asked if there was any places we particularly wanted to see. Since it was the 2 of us we got to see what we wanted. I wanted to go to the Hard Rock Rock shop to purchase a T-shirt. He made that happen. My friend was having a lot of pain due to a recent hip replacement and requested a stop at the drug store. He made that happen as well. We saw umbrella street and pink street and the park. He took us down by the beach and stopped so we could check out the beach and take pictures. He took us by the fort but we didn't want to get out there so we went on. In the beginning of the tour he took us to a great spot to see much of Porta Plata. He was always offering to be our photographer. And he did a great job as well. It was my second tour of the city but my friends first time to the Dominican Republic. She was very pleased with each location he took is too. It was great to be the only 2 on the tour because we received a more personal tour and was able to learn a lot about the Dominican Republic and the city. We also visited a store where they took the laramar and the amber and showed us what it looks like before it is made into jewelry. There was also a jewelry store that was owned by one family with several family members working there. We both received personal attention while we made our decisions. I bought a dog's paw pendant with the 4 paw pads in larimar and the large paw pad made of amber. They helped me pick out the perfect sterling silver chain. Chepe made sure they took care of us on the prices. He waited very patiently as we made our selections. When we were finished with the tour he went and retrieved the cat and came and picked us up so we didn't have to walk any further. Very nice man and a great tour guide. I highly recommend this tour and Chepe as the tour guide.

Picked up on time, described history of area and culture in detail. Very friendly, about 3 to 4 hours. We were picked up in air conditioned van with working seat belts and Chepe drove us to all the itinerary items listed. In addition, he asked what eles we would like to do such as cigar factory and chocolate shop without any pressure tactics. Really enjoyed.

Our group of four adults reserved a private tour of Puerto Plata with Chepe and Valera Tours. Chepe messaged in advance to see if I had any special requests & messaged again the day before our tour to be sure we were still on. Chepe was at the designated pickup location on time, with cold water & soft drinks. His vehicle was clean & the air conditioning was a blessing on a hot day! Chepe isn't just a driver; he's a TRUE guide. He happily customized the tour to meet our needs & interests. He took us to picturesque overlooks, beautiful beaches, and the highlights of the city. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and shares it eagerly. Chepe is very professional, plus he's a happy & fun guy! The tour guide was outstanding. He showed us the downtown area and the countryside. We also explored the beach area. He was very informative about the country.

We had a great time with Chepe and would highly recommend anyone travelling with family to book him, for the below reasons:
1. He came to pick us on time, vehicle is fully air-conditioned, nice and clean, we were offered water and soda.
2. Our trip was loaded with information on Dominican history& culture, the buildings, and plants and the nature, basically anything you may find interesting along the way! We asked many random questions, and he explained with great detail and patience.
3. There is no aggressive shopping push. You can skip the gift shops if you want! You can also customize your trip all along.
A perfect half day trip!
