Comprehensive with an enthusiastic guide who shared her love for Burano. Murano is a bit of a sales pitch as expected but Burano was quite lively with time for a good lunch

Beautiful!
Had a wonderful time with Alice visiting the islands of Burano and Murano. Got to see a glass blowing demonstration, lace making, and got some free time for exploring. It was a perfect couple of hours trip from Venice!

Must see Murano and Burano at least once.
We started on the island of Burano. It is a quaint fishing town with very colorful houses well maintained. Lots of shopping to do. The lace demonstration was nice but very short. Murano was a bit of a disappointment. We enjoyed watching the glass blowers work but the remaining time was walking through the showroom filled with items for us to purchase. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable.

Fantastic Custom Tour
Elisabete was a wonderful tour guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. It was just our family of 3, so it was private and intimate. After the glass blowing demonstration we visited the factory showrooms. Then went into a church and went to the lighthouse. We stopped at a few shops before getting back on the water taxi. We truly enjoyed our visit to Murano.

Murano
  • Murano glassblowing and Burano lace-making demonstrations make for great photos.

  • Both Murano glass and Burano lace are famous for their impeccable craftsmanship—and prices reflect that. Be wary of “bargain” prices, which often mean counterfeit goods.

  • Visitors often find that Murano’s glass shops employ hard-sell techniques, which can be uncomfortable. To avoid being strong-armed, always book your Venice islands tour through a reputable company.
