Burano alone is worth it.
We did the trip to murano and Burano and were supposed to go to Torchello but opted not to, after speaking to our guide. Murano was a tourist trap and a waste of time. Burano was much cuter and more interesting. Our British tour guide, David, was FABULOUS. He made the trip amazing and interesting.

Wonderful Glass and Lace Tour with Elly
Elly was a wonderful guide, and we loved this tour. The demonstration at the glass factory was very interesting, and they gave a discount for members on the tour. The lace demonstration is quick, but the place is much smaller and you have the option to stay and view the workshop if you wish. We had opted to have lunch at a seafood restaurant, our best of the trip! The boat ride to and from Burano and Murano from Venice is worth the price alone. So many gorgeous views.

Murano, Burano, Torcello Tour
This was our first time to Venice si we wanted to see Murano, Burano, and Torcello. This was a lovely tour. It said small group, and we did end up breaking into small groups but all in all, there were over 89 people on the boat. The glass-blowing demonstration was fun to watch in Murano. The colored buildings in Burano were beautiful and bright! The medieval feel in Torcello was true to its claim. I would do it again and I would come in the summer. It is the end of March and it is 50° F.

Fantastic walking tour—an engaging way to experience Venice beyond the usual sights. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and brought the city’s history to life with great stories. Loved exploring hidden alleys and learning local insights. The Murano Glass Factory tour was amazing—watching the craftsmanship up close was truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

Murano
  • Murano glassblowing and Burano lace-making demonstrations make for great photos.

  • Both Murano glass and Burano lace are famous for their impeccable craftsmanship—and prices reflect that. Be wary of “bargain” prices, which often mean counterfeit goods.

  • Visitors often find that Murano’s glass shops employ hard-sell techniques, which can be uncomfortable. To avoid being strong-armed, always book your Venice islands tour through a reputable company.
