This tour is unique because we will visit two iconic places of the Azores, The Lagoon of Fire is the second largest of the island of São Miguel and one of the largest of the Azores. It has been classified as a natural reserve since 1974 and is part of the Natura 2000 network because it has been classified as a special conservation zone. The Seven Cities Lagoon is probably the most iconic and recognized natural monument in the Azores. In a region with so many landscapes, the image of the Seven Cities is numerous times chosen to represent or promote the island of São Miguel and the archipelago. The ultimate private tour!

Carlos was very kind, knowledgeable, caring and flexible. He picked us up at the cruise ship dock on time and toured us all around at our pace. He explained the historic and significant spots of interest and answered all of our questions. When we needed to stop for a restroom and lunch he gave us our choice of options. Carlos is the man! And the Azores are just amazing! Lastly he got us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time.

Wonderful time spent in the Azores - Ponta Delgada

We had Tiago as our host for this tour. We had a little bit of a delay in the start as Viator had given Tiago the wrong pickup but Tiago quickly messaged and remedied the problem. We were then off for a great 5 hour tour and had a wonderful time. Tiago was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of facts about the Azores and the history. We were able to see everything that was on the tour and spent a good amount of time in the Thermal Baths. Great Job Tiago.

Exceptional Tour Guide (Mariano-sp?)

Marianno (may not be spelling his name correctly) was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and friendly! He took us all around the island including to the very tippy top, and gave us all the most pivotal historical facts about the island. Were informed too that there are 2 cows and 7 chickens respectively to every person living on the island! We had a wonderful 3 1/2 hours with him and, at our request, he left us at the city center and directed us to the best fresh burger place, Suplexio, for lunch. Best burger I’ve ever had in my 64 young years!! Good local IPA beer too!

The views are fantastic. Our guide Joaquin was just excellent with his outlook to life and enthusiasm that made the trip so much better. Finally Mother Nature is at its best with human interaction. We had an incredible experience from start to finish. We arrived via cruise, and he was already waiting inside the terminal holding a sign with my name, which made the pickup seamless and stress-free. From that moment on, everything felt easy and well-organized. What really stood out was how the tour didn’t feel scripted or generic. Instead of a typical guide, it felt like being shown around by a knowledgeable friend who genuinely loves his island. He shared insights, stories, and details that made the experience feel personal and engaging. We especially appreciated how flexible and thoughtful he was throughout the day. He adjusted the itinerary on the fly to avoid the fog and take us to the best viewpoints, which made a huge difference. It never felt rushed, and it was clear he cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a more personalized and memorable tour.

Wonderful day on Sao Miguel

Pur time with Luis was wonderful. He took us to beautiful areas on the island. Some of the areas needed a 4x4, so it was great to have those available. He asked us what we wanted to see and customized the day to us. He has a great knowledge of the island, not only places to visit but also the history. He was fun and pleasant. We would highly recommend Luis.

Great day tour

Good tour in minibus driver was very friendly however I don't think any driver should be drinking alcohol at lunch whilst on duty. The thermal baths and park is €17 extra or €13 for seniors not €8 as stated on my confirmations the water in the baths is orange and get on your skin Lunch was ok but two people plus driver had different meal ours was a slow cooked earth one. I would recommend the tour overall

Extremely knowledgeable

Our tour with Henry was fantastic. He curated our stops based off our wishlist, and suggested alternatives as some of the viewpoints were not visible due to weather. Despite the weather, Henry was fantastic and had no shortage of facts about the history of the island, answering all our questions and educating us on the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out with whatever timetable you have- Henry was accommodating and would be fantastic for anything from a half-day to a multi-day tour.

This was the most amazing way to see the island! Highly recommend you do it at the beginning of your trip and Arthur was a spectacular, friendly and knowledgeable guide. He’s very passionate about his home and he was so kind and sharing extra tips. Fantastic trip

We where on the trip yesterday with Philip as a guide. He is calm and knowledgeable guy and has a good humor. He tells local stories and shows special locations. We had a blast with our two teenage sons. The deskription says you will go by a thermal pool. We didn’t see that but a lot of other beautiful places. We saw Furnas the day before where we experienced the thermal pool so we appreciated to se something different.

We had a different...

We had a different operator cancel our tour last minute and it ended being best thing that could have happened!!! This one was a gem. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw so much in our short time and he added an extra stop that we wanted. 100% would do another tour from them agsin.
