Great tour....saw so much of the island. Absolutely stunning scenery. Our guide Ray kept us informed of history and economics and society. Highlight was lunch of the thermal cooked food....delicious.

Good tour in minibus driver was very friendly however I don't think any driver should be drinking alcohol at lunch whilst on duty. The thermal baths and park is €17 extra or €13 for seniors not €8 as stated on my confirmations the water in the baths is orange and get on your skin
Lunch was ok but two people plus driver had different meal ours was a slow cooked earth one. I would recommend the tour overall

Furnas was great and the cozido was delicious. The caldeiras were interesting - kind of like the primordial soup but hotter. And the landscape! How lush and beautiful, especially as seen from the church in Vilha do Campo. A great tour!

Bring an old swimsuit that you don't mind taking color or smell from sulfate in the terra nostra bazen. Jake is very knowledgeable and very keen to talk about any aspect of Azores' life and nature. It was all great!

Very friendly and knowledgeable guide, with a great sense of humor. The tour was informative, but balanced well so it wasn't information overkill. The stops were well spaced out - you really get to see a lot in a day, but at a great pace.

Our guide, Rui, was friendly and very knowledgeable. His timing was good for each stop we made. He talked about the culture and history of Sao Miguel so you got a real good send of the region. The restaurant at Lake Furnas was amazing. The scenery along the coast, neighborhoods, and farmlands was all stunning. Rui made our whole day an experience to remember.

This was a wonderful experience. It is called a tour of Furnas, but this was so much more than expected. We saw Furnas, with its geysers, hot springs, and botanical gardens, but that was not all. Our guide took us to small villages, beautiful beaches, a tea plantation and other fascinating sites and gave us insight on the culture and life in Sao Miguel. This tour included a traditional lunch at a small out of the way restaurant to make the experience complete. Our guide was knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend the day with. I highly recommend this adventure!

Denis is very knowledgable and friendly! Me and my wife had a great time going to Furnas and many other places in the eastern part of Sao Miguel. He knew all the gems and had a good story or interesting facts for all the places we went and many other things about the Azores in general. We can definitely recommend his tour to east Sao Miguel and there is no doubt that the other tours are just as good!

The route we really liked, the landscapes, the furnas etc. What I failed was that we were a Portuguese/Spanish speaking group and we had to constantly ask for translation to the guide that assumed we understood Portuguese and was almost always expressed in that language. I would like to speak Portuguese but since it is not so we hired the tour with a guide in Spanish.

-So fun to eat the local “stew” cooked in a thermal hole in the ground. Tender meat and good vegetables, served with the desired beverage (wine, beer or soft drink and water).
