I'm a native Krakowian. For three cosy hours, we'll make pierogi (Polish dumplings) by hand, the way my mum taught me. Then sit down to traditional soup, our pierogi + homemade cake, and good stories, with Kraków's history and art along the way. For fifteen years, I've cooked for the people I love. Eight years ago, I started opening my home to guests from all over the world, and it's become a real joy. As a born Krakowian I get to share stories about the city's history, especially when it comes to art and architecture, another passion of mine. The pierogi will be made following authentic recipes handed down generations in my family. My home sits right by the Wisła, where the locals live, about 15 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes by bike along the river from the Old Town. Total beginners are more than welcome, and confident cooks still pick up proper technique. It's about the experience and the chatter, not perfection. Nobody leaves my kitchen hungry, or as a stranger.

During your visit to three pubs we will talk about the history of beer, including how to taste it, and the types of beer unique to Poland. We'll taste 7 beers. You will see how vast the range of beer flavors is, and how beer, or piwo in Polish, is the most obvious beverage to drink in Poland. At the first pub, you'll attempt to figure out just why Pilsner is the go-to beer almost everywhere in the world. Additionally, your guide will talk you through the most effective way to taste beer. In the second pub, you’ll try two types of beer unique to Poland. This includes the legendary Grodzisk, which is also called a champagne beer, and its recipe has stayed unaltered since the 13th century. For those of you who think you've tried it all, in the third pub you'll be shown how different beers can be. Your guides will also talk with you about the “Polish craft-beer revolution”, with dozens of microbreweries opening each year.

The best way to immerse yourself in Polish culture is to learn about its great food. On this fantastic cooking experience, you won’t have to worry about being hungry, as you’ll arrive to a buffet of meats, cheeses, and breads. Your instructor will explain step-by-step how to make Polish dumplings (pierogi), and later you can try them. An optional vodka tasting is also available, where you’ll try multiple flavors and learn about Poland’s history of vodka.

Your guide will meet you in the heart of Gdansk's Old Town — easy to find, just steps from the main streets. You'll be seated at a private or semi-private table for the duration of the experience. The tasting is relaxed and conversational in style. Beers are presented in a logical order — lighter styles first, building toward richer, more complex brews. Your guide will introduce each beer, share its history and brewing background, and answer any questions along the way. The session typically lasts 90 minutes.
