False Advertising

Cheryl_G, Mar 2025
False advertising! The description stated there was “no stop during the tour”. It also stated it was a “private tour/activity. Only your group will participate”. We waited at the assigned starting location. No one was there. Had to text the tour operator. Finally she came and handed us a hop on hop off bus voucher and told us to stand at the next corner where the bus would stop every 10 minutes. After 20 minutes a bus came but drove past us and turned the corner. We ran after it and finally caught up to it due to traffic. The bus stops everywhere and once stopped for over twenty minutes. Extremely disappointed as this was not what I signed up for or wanted. Totally false advertising. Nothing what was told was correct.

No tour guide tour! It sucked!

Joalleyne_W, Nov 2023
There were too many people listening to the sites simultaneously. That made it hard to hear the tour. The guide should be the only voice we hear.

Nice but shorter than booked

Marjolein_S, Jan 2022
Shorter trip (1 hour) than booked (1,45 hour). Nice for sightseeing in less time in Paris. Eiffeltoren is great and by night with lights.

Tour for relaxation

SAkale2014, Sep 2019
This tour was organised and on time. Free wifi on the bus, good way I spent my birthday but I wish I could come down and take pictures....feel like I booked the wrong tour cos I was eager for pictures.

We could have done as well with a Hop-on Hop-off bus

jean_h, Jul 2018
At lease we would have had an opportunity to take pictures with the City bus. We were totally unimpressed - a very generic tour.

The tour was okay. You saw most of the tourist attractions I'd say. However, you were not allowed to get off the bus and take any pictures. The bus stated that there was wifi, but there was not. And at the end of the tour, it was either get off the bus here and do your own thing to find your way back to your hotel or get a ride back with us to the agency. I thought that was crazy and was not explained in the description when purchasing this tour. Luckily my family and I bought a day pass for the metro and were able to get around. This tour may be better suited for the elderly. But I guess as the saying goes, You get what you pay for.

They went out of their to accommodate us even though we were 5 minutes late. The bus was ready to pull out and they rushed confirming my ticket so I could make it. An the tour was great.

Nancy H, Mar 2017
We had just arrived in Paris and were pretty tired, so it felt like a long ride. But this tour provided us a nice introduction to the city. We saw many of the same sights later on other tours so this helped put everything in geographical perspective for us.

It was ok. The bus tour started off alright. Once the driver dropped off passengers at the Eiffel Tower, the tour pretty much ended for the rest of us who paid for the entire bus tour commentary and not the Eiffel Tower portion. Had I known I would've taken another type of tour.

The express city tour trip is fantastic if your only in Paris for a weekend, it show you everything you wish to see in Paris, the driver did slow down allowing you to take pictures. Get there early so you can get a good seat to be able to take good pictures

Nice bus, get to the point earlier to be first in line so can get the best seats on the double decker bus.

Margaret-Eryl M, Jan 2015
An excellent overview of Paris which whets the appetite for return visits to some of the places seen. Good informative commentary with evocative music in between the explanations. Traffic jams, of course, but that can't be helped! You can leave the tour at the Eiffel Tower but we preferred to stay on board, see more sights and return to the pick-up point.

David A, Nov 2014
The bus smelled bad. The audio had a lot of static and was out of sync with the actual tour. The windows on the bus were dirty making it impossible to take any pictures. On the whole I would go with an open bus rather than a closed one. I would avoid this company.

It was very busy in paris with the traffic so we didn't quite do what the tour outline stated. Commentary average.

Ina C, Aug 2013
It's what we expected. Bus was on time. Would have liked for bus to stop for a minute at the sights for us to take a picture without getting off the bus. Drove by each site only.

JCARV, Jun 2013
The tour was a multi-language tour pre-recorded which is fine but with the traffic on our tour, we were in traffic more than the tour. There was no involvement with the tour guide and the driver talked on his cell phone loudly throughout entire tour just about. Also this company sells other tours with this tour being a part of all of them so I feel like that they were not clear. I went through once, I don't want to do same tour again just to see new things later.

Alison S, Jun 2013
This tour is okay to briefly see the sites and monuments and get a lay for the land. But it is very short (only 1 1/2 hour long).

S Gail B, May 2013
This tour is an excellent introduction to the best tourist sites in Paris. The tour provides basic information about each site in very good English. I would recommend it for persons on their first trip to Paris who want a sampling of the top sites and then decide what ones he/she wants to spend more time visiting.

Was a fantastic way to see Paris in 2 hours. It gave us a chance to see where everything was and we could go back thge places we want to spend more time at .

David C, Feb 2013
We found the tour quite enjoyable but also a little disappointing. We did not visit as many Paris 'sights' as we had done with previous tour operators and we seemed to spend most of our time in traffic - even though the tour only lasted 1 hr 25 mins rather than the advertised 2 hours.

The tour provided a great orientation to the many neighborhoods in Paris. It helped me decide when and what I planned to see. I recommend the tour to other first time visitors.

Janet, Aug 2012
This was the first thing we did upon our arrival in Paris. It provided a quick overview of the city and its main attractions. The coach was comfortable and clean and the recorded commentary was interesting and clear. However, our actual tour of the city was not more that 1.5 hours and included a stop at the boat tours on the Seine for passengers that booked it in conjunction with the motor tour. That proved to be a 15 waste of time for those of us that did not book this part of the tour.

DMarie, Jul 2012
We took this tour our first full day in Paris. It gave us a quick trip around the area to get us oriented and point out things we might not know about and otherwise miss. There was lots of traffic which seemed to keep us slowed down. However, were glad to be sitting and traveling as we adjusted to a different time zone.

Tom, Jul 2012
This tour used a guide tape to narrate the various sights. I thought the tapes were short and had long breaks between landmarks. During the breaks the tape "April in Paris" continually played. I liked the song before the tour, but during the end of the tour I had to remove my ear buds to avoid listening.
