A+ for Oslo History 101

If you know very little about Oslo, its past and its present, please go on this tour. In two hours, the guide will present important points of Norwegian history, chat with the guests, and wind through the highlights of the City Center. I had the privilege of touring with only two additional guests, so it felt like a personalized, private tour. Don't shy away from a little rain and gray skies; it did not affect my experience. NOTE: if City Hall is open the day of your tour, take advantage of the free entry to City Hall. I did not go that same day, and it was closed to tourists the day after, my only remaining chance to see the interior.

Smooth Sailing on this Fun, Guided Boat Tour

This cruise is a serene, calm, laid back way to explore the waters near Oslo. The boat is clean and bright, and there really isn't a bad seat. Don't stay in the cabin the whole time; you'll be deprived of some wonderful views! The guide's audio is piped to the deck, so there's no reason to stay cooped up inside. If you enjoy beer, spring for a draft pint of the pilsner that's brewed especially for this company's tours. Skol!

Such great food

Kenneth was a great guide, and the dishes chosen for the tour were very unique and represent Norway. Kenneth was friendly, charismatic, and full of interesting facts. We got to try 5 dishes in total. I do wish I had left the tour with a more full stomach, but the tour was great regardless. You can tell the food choices were intentional and carefully considered. Accommodations for vegans was available with advance notice. Solid choice for a food tour.

Amazing day learning/ sightseeing in Oslo for father daughter trip!

This was an amazing experience personally catered to what we wanted. Fabio was fantastic from the moment I booked the reservation. I had had recent hip surgery and my father is 94 years old and we were doing a bucket list trip together. Fabio arrived with a wheelchair that he had loaned. He was great with Text and Call communication and kept us informed and arrived right on time. He took us on an amazing tour of the Royal Palace, City Hall, the library, and the Opera House. We changed the plan midday due to the beautiful sunshine, and how much we were enjoying learning the history of the city from Fabio. Instead of going to the sculpture park as we had planned, we stayed in town and learned so much and enjoyed all the knowledge Fabio had to share with us. He was fantastic, helped navigate my dad on and off the wheelchair so that we could minimize the walking he had to do. Out of 10 stars I’d give this tour 12! Also, obviously we were walking slower than the average pace, but Fabio took his time and never rushed us. I Highly recommend if you want to get to see the city and learn and understand the history. This is well worth the investment. Thank you Fabio for a fabulous first day in Oslo. And an amazing memory for me and my father! 💕

Annie was a lovely and informative guide. We had three tastings that included a traditional waffle with brown cheese (from a street vendor), a fish soup (Fiskereit) and a charcuterie with smoked trout and moose salami from a quaint farm to table (Bonder I Byen). All the food was delicious.

It was an amazing trip....

It was an amazing trip. We had two drivers Janis and Alex and they were very kind, responsible and knowledgeable of this tour. The journey was long but the scenery on a ferry ride was beautiful. We had a brief ride on the Flam railway and once again the beauty of the nature truly amazing. We were taken care by our drivers from hotel pick up and drop off. All tickets for the ferry and train ride. were all prepared. We strongly recommend this tour.

What a lovely nature walk!

Our guide, John, escorted us through two islands and shared his knowledge with us about dry cabins, the value that Norwegian citizens place on nature, and archaeoligic history of some of the ruins we encountered on the tour. It was a beautiful day for island hopping and John also has a sense of humor, which made this mini excursion all the more fun!

Highly recommend!! This is an amazing way to see so many different parts of Oslo in 3 hours. We only had a few days to spend here and this bike tour made seeing a lot of the city very easy and we learned so much more than we could have just on our own! Curtis (owner and operator) was our tour guide and he was fabulous! He made the entire experience so fun and was so knowledgeable. Great Tour of Oslo!

Had a great tour of Oslo with Gabriel yesterday. We appreciated the depth of Gabriel’s knowledge regarding the city and the pace of the tour. He was an excellent guide and pointed out key sites around the city together with insights about the historical significance and cultural influences affecting the evolution of Oslo. See a different view of Oslo!

Shaf and Kat were very good guides, and we were able to taste a variety of foods. I appreciated that the tour was "off the beaten path" and gave us a different perspective on Oslo. The amount of food was just about right - I've had other tours where only got very small bites, and others where I was completely stuffed by the end - this one was good and we still had appetite for a late dinner. Thanks!
