What are people saying about Oslo

Oslo By Foot
This is a really interesting tour and it covers a lot of the old town of Oslo. Our Tour Guide was wonderful (sadly I have forgotten her name - sorry) and she was very knowledgeable about the city. Our tour was on Sunday morning which meant was easy to walk around the city with limited traffic.

Magnificant!! An absolutely must do when you first arrive in Oslo to get your bearings. Nicola is an intelligent, witty and engaging local tour guide. Note this is a FREE City Walking tour and then you tip the local guide at the end. Best to not book through Viator or any other platform as the tour guide does not get the full amount you have paid. Alternatively, turn up without booking and tip after that way the tour guide gets the full gratuity.

Yummy and informative
Great tour with yummy food! Shaf is an engaging and informative tour guide. The food choices were spot on and gave a good overview and variety of popular food options in Oslo. If you need alternative food or drink options let the tour guide know in advance at booking and they will happily support your needs. Small intimate group. So glad we did this tour.

From History to Bites—Oslo Done Right
An unforgettable afternoon exploring Oslo through its flavors and stories. This food tour was the perfect blend of local cuisine and rich history—each stop thoughtfully curated and every bite telling a story of Norway’s culture.
What truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Marianna. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the afternoon with an old friend—warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the city to life with insights you simply wouldn’t discover on your own.
Despite the Easter holiday, she went above and beyond to ensure we didn’t miss a thing—offering thoughtful recommendations and making adjustments so the experience felt seamless and special.
If you’re looking to truly connect with Oslo—its people, its history, and its food—this tour is an absolute must.

Packed a lot in!
This was a 5 hour tour around Oslo called Discover Oslo. We wanted to see as much as possible in a short time since we only had one full day there. The Viator experience delivered. We had an absolutely beautiful day! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Oslo. We visited the famous sculpture park, the ski area, and museums such as Kon-Tiki and the Fram

Wonderful Winter’s Day Excursion
A wonderful 3.5hr winter excursion walking around 2 of Oslo’s beautiful islands. Our guide, Giovanni was outstanding, taking us on a great mini-adventure, sharing interesting facts and fascinating anecdotes on the history and lifestyle of Oslo and its exceptionally friendly and welcoming people. For those wanting an outdoor experience in Winter, I couldn’t recommend this more highly, and I’m an Aussie who has had to transition from 40 deg C to -8 deg C!

Nice activity. The electric boat is very quiet and a smooth ride. The boat was warm, comfortable, and clean. The cafe on board has several options including special microbrewery beer.
Guide Alisha also provided a great tour.
Suggestion to sit on the right side of the boat as it seemed like most of the guided tour was viewed on that side

When visiting anywhere,...
When visiting anywhere, taking a day tour with a guide can be a lot of fun. On this trip, Elena did a very good job in explaining things and telling the history and stories (from memory) and made the group event worthwhile. I enjoyed the Fram and Kon-tiki museum towards the end, as daylight hours are becoming shorter in November. The bus was operated safely and climate controlled for passenger comfort. Thank you for a great day when discovering Oslo!

Great walking tour of Oslo
Neil is a great guide. The two hour walking tour was informative and covered much of Oslo’s main city area and features. His knowledge of history was excellent and his anecdotes were very entertaining. He pointed out museums and other places to visit as well as some good shopping and places to eat. Great introduction to Oslo and Norway.

Fun. Informative. Beautiful.
This bike tour was the highlight of our stay in Oslo. Our guide, Curtis, was excellent. He was fun and knew so much about the history of Oslo & Norway in general. The cycle itself was gentle and we saw most of the city highlights. He recommended a local, fun & funky food court so a group of us went over afterward to have lunch.

Exceptional excursion and guide.
It was wonderful. Janis, our driver was great. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. It was a very long day but he made the excursion a pleasure.
The scenery was breathtaking and worth all the time and expense. Flam railway was so beautiful. This was probably the best trip we took in Norway.

It’s all about the guide!!
We had one day cruise stop in Oslo and wanted to see as much of the city as possible. This walking tour hit all of the major sights in the city centre. Our guide, Tetiana, made the tour exceptional. She was funny, charming and incredibly knowledgeable about Norwegian history and culture. She emigrated from Ukraine 12 years ago and has fully integrated herself into Oslo life. She’s a great advertisement for Norway. And a fine example of what immigrants can add to a city.
