The best way to see Oslo? From above it. On this guided hike, you’ll take a scenic train ride to Frognerseteren, making your way to the top of Vettakollen Mountain. Slowly scale up the gentle slopes of the mountain until you’re on top of the city itself, overlooking the Oslofjord—from here, take in the best view of Norway’s scenic capital.

- This tour takes about 3.5 hours including public transportation. The walking distance is 5,4 kilometres.
- PLEASE NOTE: Tickets for the Metro are not included in the price, this must be purchased separately. You can buy tickets from us in our shop at Kongensgate 14. You can also buy tickets directly from the public transport company Ruter. Or you can buy OsloPass from VisitOslo. This gives you discounts to museums in Oslo, as well as free public transport throughout Oslo.

This was a really great hike. It was challenging as it had just rained and required attention to the rocks and roots on the path. Highly recommend solid footwear. Our guide was excellent and was very friendly, thank you. We were very confident in your ability to guide us!

Great way to see more of Oslo - make sure to wear good shoes and ones that can get dirty/withstand water especially if there was rain recently.

Pleasant hike in quiet forest and good views of Oslo and surroundings. The hike was interesting and peaceful but the pace was too quick at times leaving little time to enjoy the surroundings. At times our guide seemed more focussed on keeping a timeline than enjoying the hike. I would have preferred a more relaxed pace.

We try and keep a steady but comfortable pace for our guests, but timing can be quite important due to some guests having other commitments directly after the tour. These are the challenges of a group tour setting, but I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful nature surrounding Oslo and we hope you come back soon!

Miles was our very well experienced and seasoned guide view of Oslo. Prepared for any weather,(and we experienced all: sun, rain, hail, and lightning throughout our hike) Miles moved seamlessly among the roles as cheerleader, coach, and travel guide. He is the travel guide equivalent of a Swiss Army knife; he can do it all. Best of all, is his willingness to generously share his expertise. BTW, moderate was a challenge for the 70 year olds on our hike.

I don't know what hike I went on cause it got changed but it was great! We hiked up through the woods that are around the lake Oslo gets it water from. We were a small group of 3 and a guide. Every one was friendly. It was great hike at the top there was lodge we got hot chocolate and pastry. Mile was a great guide. He told all about the forest and norway. I would recommend it for anyone who likes the outdoors.

Great hike!! Our guide did a wonderful time keeping everyone together and going at a pace that was comfortable for everyone. At the end of the hike he was kind enough to show those of us that wanted to go to the sculpture park how to get there and back to the Central Station afterwards. I would highly recommend!
