This was an eventful ride on a nice boat. There is really nothing to see and it is two hours on a slow boat to no where.

For many of our guests, the Oslofjord offers a calm and scenic experience, with a constantly changing landscape of islands, inlets, cottages, lighthouses, and everyday life along the shoreline. The route is designed as a loop, so while you return to your starting point, the journey itself passes through a variety of different surroundings along the way.

If the weather is good , it is a great experience, if you are only there for a few days and the weather is poor with no visibility, the trip will still go ahead . The cruise people did offer us to go back the next day as unfortunately we don’t see a thing

They could do a better job of explaining how to connect with the audio tour. Just putting some flyers on a table and assuming you will know what to do does not cut it! We went in February and the boat was fairly empty. In the summer…,,oh boy… Total looniness as you have to go from one side of the boat to the other to see things along the route. You might want to spend a bit more for a smaller private tour boat.

Thank you for the candid feedback. Point taken on the audio guide – clearer instructions should never be left to chance, and that’s something that needs tightening up. February calm and summer crowds are two very different beasts, and expectations matter. Appreciate the honesty, even if the verdict was a firm one.

Very well organized and easy to book. The sightseeing was very nice. Slow at times but totally worth it. A great way to see Oslo from a different point of view and you learn some interesting facts through the narration.

It's a good way to get out on the water and see some of oslos sites.
The boat is modern and clean. The narrative is sometimes too quiet to hear.

Bring a jacket and gloves of travelling in January as it's bitterly cold in Oslo and the sea adds wind chill to this cold feeling.

January in Oslo can be properly cold, and out on the fjord the wind chill definitely reminds you that this is real winter, not just postcard winter. A warm jacket and gloves are always a smart choice this time of year.
For anyone reading, our boats are heated inside with large panoramic windows and plenty of seating, so guests can stay warm and still enjoy the views comfortably between trips out on deck for fresh air and photos.

Very nice short scenic cruise, clean, on time and very safe tour. We loved the stop off at the end near the Fram and maritime museums. This allowed us to avoid a backtrack which is where we wanted to go next! Complete convenient surprise!

The sightseeing tour was really good. Comprehensive & good tour guide through the intercom. Drinks are available (to buy) & also blankets (which were free). It can get cold so wrap up warm

Me and my wife enjoyed this 2 hour boat ride. Great scenery!! Great opportunity to just enjoy piece and fantastic views. Very pieceful and relaxing. Great for the last day in Oslo!! I just wish they had some refreshments like coffee etc. But it's all good!!

It provides a map showing the route. For me it was perfect as I wanted to get close to two lighthouses (Heggholmen and Dyna Fyr) which it passed very closely. It takes you close to the opera house and you can get off at the Fram museum if you wanted.

The excursion was nice . Beautiful scenery and the history was very interesting. I just wish Viator would set it up where we could get picked up at the cruise ship. There were a lot of people from our ship on this excursion. It would be a lot easier .

Hello Peter, thank you so much for your positive feedback. There is note in the activity description that meeting point/departure point of our boat is at Rådhusbrygge 4/City Hall pier nr. 4 which means that we do not provide pick up from hotel or at any cruise ship.

We loved it! The commentary and sights were great! We had to change our tour timing at the last minute. The tour operator was on it immediately. 5 minutes top, we were rescheduled.

2 hours Oslo fjord cruise with intellectually inspiring narration was fun and refreshing. As other tourists posted, however, kids walking around and screaming with low attention by their parents were really annoying and disturbing. Could not even hear the narration.

I really like this two hour tour. Was a beautiful sunny summer day. Keep in mind that it seems the boat could potentially be at any one of at least three docks. It wasn't docked where it was supposed to be. It was, instead, docked one pier over where the ferry lineups are. It's an electric boat and that is where they charge it seems.

The sailing was cancelled without any pre-notification. This was due to bad weather, which of course is understandable. But there was confusion at the port of exit, nobody knew what was happening, and we discovered from a crew member of another carrier some 30 minutes after the sailing / tour was scheduled to depart. I have not received any notification or acknowledgment that the sailing was cancelled...nor have I received a refund. The reason for the cancellation is as I say, understandable, although the ferry / hoppers were operating. Big respect for the safety first stance but poor communication and overall customer service because of myself an other passengers not being informed.

Did not go - could not find the depatrure location. Trollcruise was not helpful. Did not realize our ship was in an adjacent bay near opera house. Trollcruise told me to go on line and look it up. Turns out we were about 1-2 km away. Too bad someone could not have picked us up. We tried for 2 hours

Thank you for your feedback, and we are very sorry to hear that you missed the tour. As we discussed on the day of the tour, our pick-up service is not available from hotels or other locations in Oslo. Our designated pick-up point is at City Hall pier 4, platform E, where our boat departs.
It is clearly stated in the activity description that passengers must make their way to this specific pick-up point. We understand your frustration in not finding suitable transportation from the centrally located Opera House, which is serviced by plenty of buses and trams, to our meeting point.

Such a nice experience! The boat was large and extremely clean. The crew was professional and took us on a beautiful ride out into the bay. Just one little negative. We got to the meeting point and there was no boat nor any crew around, so we didn’t know if we were in the right place. A man in the area told us he has seen the crew come and get people. So we waited, and sure enough a crew member came over to take care of us. A bit stressful until that happened.
