Good tour of the city. It was nice there was a stop right at the cruise terminal As there were 7 of us we were able to get a paper copy of our tickets right there.
Great way to see Oslo. Audio worked off and on initially but eventually connected. First running 10 mins late but overall great activity.
The monologue was difficult to hear and understand. Would be nice if your stops were marked with a number on the signs at each bus stop. Bus drivers never greeted anyone.

I don't know if there just isn't much to see in Oslo or if the tour was just lacking but it was really boring and I don't feel like I learned much. There was a lot of silence and gaps in the commentary. It wouldn't be hard to find something interesting to say I'm sure!

Audio didn’t work and no announcements or information was given during ride, not even the stop number or attraction was announced as the bus stopped. Also, we were on the stairs going up to the top and the bus started making it treacherous to get to a seat. Very poor experience.

We are particularly concerned to read that the bus started moving while you were still on the stairs going up to the top deck, making it treacherous to get to a seat. Don't bother...poor audio guides and drivers are rude and worthless. We planned to use it for two days and gave up and only used it for 6 hours. We have used hop on/hop off in other towns and enjoyed our experience. Oslo? Not a bit of fun.

We have used hop on-hop off buses at several cities and they do help get you to more points of interest in less time. My only complaint is that they stop running too soon. It would be better if they ran later and more often rather than have 3 different bus lines running similarly operations.
One thing to note about Oslo is that it is very walkable and not that large so if you are there more than 1 or 2 days, then you probably won’t need this service.

You are absolutely right, hop on hop off buses are a great way to get to more points of interest in less time, especially on the first day to get your bearings. And thank you for your honest feedback about the schedule. We understand your point about them stopping a bit too soon and about the frequency vs. having 3 lines with similar operations.
In Oslo we try to adapt our schedule to the daylight hours and the opening hours of the main attractions, which is why we end a bit earlier than in larger cities, but we have taken note of your suggestion to run later and more often, we will share it with our operations team to see how we can improve.
You make a great point too, Oslo is indeed very walkable and not that large, which is part of its charm! For many visitors staying 1-2 days the bus is the perfect way to save time and cover everything, and for those staying longer it's a fantastic way to get the overview on day one.

Absolutely no information from the audio “guide”, most of the time just about announcing stops. No history, no architecture description. No interesting facts, total waste of time that can be used to tell tourists a lot about the country and the city.

Beware! This company is not the only one that uses "Hop on Hop Off" bus. We got on the bus at stop 12; we got off at stop 2 at the museums. When we tried to get back on the bus to continue the bus tour, the driver said you have a different company ticket and would not let us on the bus. It's the same bus, not my problem it was a different company. Apparantly more than one bus of the exact same paint scheme. Well the viator version ends at 4pm, so there was no more buses.

A good way to see some of Oslo’s attractions. I bought a two-day ticket, but didn’t use it the second day. A few more stops in the city would have been better, including one by the City Hall/Nobel Peace Centre, and one near the Cathedral. Four stops by the cruise terminals is good for cruise passengers, but not for other tourists.

Easy to find start point. Downhill from there. Narration was off more than it was on. Could not see any of the sites we drove past-no stops for photos. BIGGEST waste of money and time. Have done HOHO trips in many cities across the globe and this was the worst ever. Very poor orientation to a big city.

Whilst the actual boat trip was okay, it was extremely stressful trying to locate the actual boat to go on. There were numerous queues for many different boats and all of the people who had bought tickets online were totally confused. In the end we all entered different queues and when one of our group found they were in the right one he let us know. Even then we only just boarded on time, having been in the general meeting area highlighted our ticket for the previous 45 minutes.

You can always get off if the driver is not to your liking. Stops are VERY short be ready and fast. They don’t slow down for any reason.

We were unable to take this tour for a couple of reasons: we were never able to download a map to determine the best place to find the bus. After walking around the entire Oslo station we found a hop on hop off bus station, only to find out it was the competition with the same name! By this time it was too late for us and we had to head back to the airport to catch our flight. We tried to ask for a refund but were declined. They were Not very organized and didn’t ever acknowledge that there are two companies running hop on hop off bus tours. We were not able to download a map to find our way. Disappointing!!!

We like to use these HO-HO tours to get the lie of the land in a new town, so we can decide where we might want to return to. This was as good as any. My only small complaint would be the headphones. I couldn’t work out if there was just a poor connection or gaps on the commentary, but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment.

Stops are very near all must-see sights. We saw everything we planned to see, and it was not crowded on the day we toured. Although we chose to sit in the enclosed bottom level, there was open-air seating on the top level.

It was nice with the 48 hour pass. It allowed us to go back to each interesting site and get off. However, on stop 4 we waited almost an hour because one bus came early and we missed it and the other one was a little later. That was irritating because we left the exhibits early to meet the bus.
