What are people saying about Osaka
DAVID_K, Jul 2026
Knowledgeable and convenient.
Our host, Saya, waa knowledgeable and made our experience convenient. We took more away from her personal guidance than we would have left to discover on our own. While you can go on your own, having someone to repurchase tickets and assist with ability needs is much more convenient and time efficient.
Thanks again.

Fabulous walking tour
Our tour guide Davin was amazing, super knowledgeable and engaging. He knows so much about Osaka history, the people, the spectacular castle, local areas to visit, places to eat and its quirks. Even though it was incredibly hot to be on a walking tour that day he went out of his way to make sure that we stayed as cool as possible by walking through malls and giving us wet towels to wrap around our necks in the heat. We saw so much, learned a ton and truly had a great time. Best walking tour ever!

Ibuki made our Osaka walking tour unforgettable.
Ibuki was wonderful and pleasant, easy to talk to. He was incredibly professional, courteous, kind and knowledgeable and he listened to us so well. His English is so good I had to ask if he has lived in England or the United States.
He walked at our pace, shared amazing local insights, and went above and beyond.
My husband and i can't recommend Ibuki highly enough. If you want a guide who is kind, thoughtful and truly cares about your experience, book a tour with / through Viator and request Ibuki as your guide. You won't regret it.

4 hour Private Tour
Naomi was our guide and did a fantastic job. He met us at our hotel and suggested several places to visit. He navigated us to each spot, providing history and information about each location. Our time spent with him was enjoyable and I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Fun, educational and entertaining!
Our family of 4 (kids are 12 and 14yo) really enjoyed this activity! It was fun and way more authentic than we anticipated; I was worried it would be hokey and touristy but we learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely arrive a little early so you can get good seats and not miss anything. The host is very engaging and keeps you entertained while teaching a lot of interesting facts about sumo. Then two retired sumo wrestlers demonstrate some training skills and fighting techniques, and then volunteers from the audience can join in with them. You can wear whatever clothing you want; if you volunteer to do the training they give you shorts and tshirts to change into. I highly recommend!

Full and Happy!
Exceptional experience!! Anna was an amazing tour guide. She fostered a wonderful community so quickly with our 9 person tour. She selected exceptionally delicious locations and chose delicious, local food, giving us insight into the stories behind each dish. She clearly had wonderful relationships with all the staff at the restaurants, which made for an even more incredible experience. Don't hesitate - book this tour now!

A definitely must when visiting osaka
Excellent tour. Our guide was excellent was funny and had insights on the area from the history to the customs. We were able to try many different snacks and drinks from Osaka. All the spots were hidden gems which is what we were hoping for. He even invited us to an additional spot that was not part of trip (additional cash cost on it end). The tour and food was everything we hoped for. I'd definitely recommend it.

Good 4 hours tour, I highly recommed it
Great tour if you want to see some iconic Osaka sports in 4 hours. I took a private tour. Ichiro was an excellent guide, well informed about every place we visit. We visit the Osaka Castle exterior, an some of the most touristic streets in the city centre. We walk and we use the subway. The tour is good because you dont waste time in shops like in other tours, and you can enjoy places walking around with some interesting historic context.

One of the best things we did in Osaka
We were so surprised at how well-planned this trip was. Meals were preselected with options for people who avoid certain foods, seats were saved for us when we got there and we got to try a pretty wide variety of food special to the region. We really loved the part of town we went through, much different from the city area we’d been in. Our guide, Niko was a young Japanese/New Zealander so it was really helpful having someone truly fluent in both languages. He was really friendly and more than happy to take our pictures as well! Great tour, one of our favorite things we did in Osaka!

Fun food tour!
Tony was our guide for the night. He shared a brief history about Osaka before starting the tour. The first stop offered kushikatsu, fried food in a stick. Tony was very engaging with the entire group during dinner. Next we stopped for takoyaki, which we all agreed was the best we had yet! The tour walked took us through Dotonbori and Shinsekai. We also went to a shrine down a beautiful alley which we would not have seen without the tour. Our last food offering was at a restaurant serving okonomiyaki. Everything was so good!
The tour price included all our food and drinks.
We enjoyed our time with Tony immensely!

Osaka Tour
Kevin B and Kevin R of Pinpoints were so knowledgeable! They knew exactly what our group wanted to see, wanted to eat, wanted to shop for. They paced the tour based on our needs! I believe the guides is a critical factor in determining if a tour experience was thoroughly enjoyed or not. Kevin B and Kevin R of pinpoints made our tour very enjoyable… lots of humor and fun!

Fun drive around Osaka!
Will recommend this activity when you are in the Osaka area. It is a fun way to drive around the city and being able to take nice shots with the go-kart and costume. Make sure you bring your international driver’s license since this is required. We are from the US and were able to get this in a AAA branch with a small fee. Definitely worth it!
