Top Lima Private Sightseeing Tours

It’s a EXTREMELY long day (about 20 hours from 4am pick up to midnight drop off) but was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide Giovanna was great and so friendly. We did the ATV tour instead of the boat and would HIGHLY recommend as the views of the cliffs and red sand beach were literally out of this world. Huaccacina was the best part - the dune buggy ride was not for the faint of heart but was exhilarating and so much fun (but not a good idea for someone that doesn’t like roller coasters). The sunset picnic was cute - a few snacks and literally a sip of wine (which would have been nice to have had a full cup after a long day), but the sunset was magical. Only complaint is that the pisco tour could have totally been skipped. We spent way too much time there and the tour was in the blazing hot sun (we literally were about to pass out and would have much rather just waited in the bus). The 2 hours spend there could have been much better saved to allow for a later pick up time and shorter day. Overall would highly recommend for an unforgettable adventure!

It was very good luck for us to choose this excursion. Ishmael have met us in airport and answered our numerous questions about ancient civilizations in Peru, history, modern life in Peru. The excursion was in a very comfortable pace, because we were after overnight flight. From Ishmael’s explanation we could learn about Peruvian very healthy food and became fans of Peruvian culture.

A great trip! I was nervous about the drive after reading some of the reviews but it wasn’t bad at all. Marcahuasi was magical and the cloudy weather added to the mystery of the place. I was amazed with the amount of human/animal rock formations. It really is a special place. Carlos was a wonderful guide and it was fun hanging out with him. Oh and his dog Kusi was just adorable. 100% recommend this experience

Great city tour of Lima. Maria (guide) and Victor (driver) were great! Maria’s knowledge of city’s history and architecture was amazing. She was very attentive to every little aspect of the tour. If you are looking for a half day excursion, this is the one! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Gian Carlo was awesome! The bicycle tour of Miraflores & Barranco was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. It was approximately a 10 kilometer ride which was broken up into small distances between informational snippets of the area. Gian Carlo was extremely personal and felt like a life-long friend. I would recommend this tour for a single or a whole family. It was a great way to get our bearings and plan the rest of our time there. Thank You Gian Carlo!

We arrived 2.5 hours late and Rafael was waiting for us when we finally made it through Immigation and exited the airport at midnight. He was very friendly and gave us a nice local description of Lima while the driver took us to the hotel. This was easy to book online or through a Viator chat. Highly recommended.

This is a review two years later unfortunately! But that is how vivid the amazing experience our guide gave us! This is THE tour to choose in Lima if you are a true foodie with a passion for local ways, living and cuisine! Come with a HUGE appetite because you WILL EAT! The markets were amazing and completely local! The fruit tasting are like nothing Canada and you will be so surprised at the variety and beauty! Also loved the variety of cuisines based on different regions in Peru and the history. I would choose this same tour each and every time.

This was an excellent tour of the key things to see in the city of Lima. Working in the city for a few days, I had little time to explore on my own so I booked the tour. Janet Herrera was an excellent guide. Her knowledge of the history and culture of the city really gave me a feel of what Lima is like and the traditions that underpin it. She was also very patient in answering my many questions. I would strongly recommend both the tour and Janet as a brilliant guide.
