Great for families

This is a fantastic experience if you want to get an overview of Lima’s culture and food traditions. I went with my husband and 2 college-aged sons. We sampled a variety of cuisines from fantastic coffee, delicious ceviche, and traditional Peruvian food overbooking Pre-Inca ruins. Lorenza is a terrific tour guide and very knowledgeable. Albert is a very professional driver. I loved that this tour was private for our family only. Our family are foodies and we firmly believe you cannot enjoy a country unless you enjoy their local cuisine! Would recommend to all our friends.

This tour was a good experiences of our trip to Peru! Every destination was unique, beautiful, and full of fascinating history. Our guide was outstanding—knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. He explained the history, culture, and engineering of the Inca civilization in a way that was easy to understand and made every site come alive. We especially appreciated that he took the time to answer questions and never rushed the group. The transportation was well organized, and punctual. The itinerary was well planned, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. A big thank you to our guide and driver for their kindness, professionalism, and excellent service. They made an enjoyable, and unforgettable day. Sea lions are cute

This tour was a lot of fun, getting to see and swim near sea lions! We have Sebastian and Segundo as our guides and they were fantastic! The penguins weren’t out but we did see one on top of the rocks posing for us. Nobody warns you for the smell of the sea lions though! It is putrid! Really really bad, so if you get sea sick this smell will not help. It is like one big sewage backup! I recommend the tour but be warned of the smell

A Must Do When Visiting Lima!

I signed up for this activity and ended up being the only person so received a "private" food tour. Silvana (and Mr. Miguel, the driver) was the best host! She took me to local food spots I would have never found or stumbled upon myself. We had some of the best and freshest fish sandwiches, fruit, ceviche, and fish broth soup. We took time between spots to walk and digest, and Silvana explained the history of certain neighborhoods and cultural significance of street murals. I 100% recommend signing up for this, and if you can request Silvana, do it! Such a great way to experience Lima.

Alexis (our guide) and...

Alexis (our guide) and the chef (I forgot his name) were great at guiding us through the class. The chef didn’t speak English so Alexis had to translate through the entire process, which made it a little awkward when there were multiple people doing different things, but we managed. We prepared ceviche and lomo saltado, had a fruit tasting, and a potato tasting. I could’ve done without the market tour because we just walked around. I’ve done other tours where we actually purchase at the market the ingredients we would use for the class. Regardless, it was still a lovely experience and I do recommend.

Amazing food tour with an amazing guide

Amazing food tour with an amazing guideI had a great time on this tour. My guide Marco was hilarious, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He made the entire tour feel packed with interesting stops and information, but still very relaxing and enjoyable. The pacing was perfect - we moved smoothly from place to place without ever feeling rushed, and he always made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. I learned a lot about Lima's history, culture, and food, and got to try so many great local dishes. Marco's personality really made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour!

Exceptional guide fantastic food and venues

Book without hesitation it is really enjoyable, good food and beautiful restaurants. My guide Sue was so knowledgable and personable that she made it a truly memorable experience. I am not a big meat eater or drinker of spirits so she arranged alternatives for which I’m very grateful. The seaweed cones at the archeological site restaurant were my favourite but the coffee ice cream as a alternative at the chocolate venue was also lovely.

Aura is dope - Food tour incredibly enjoyable

Aura was fantastic! We meet on time And after intros we ventured to our first stop which had s total of six stop. 1 - empanadas and cafecito. The empanada was incredible. Savory with a hint of sweet and the chicken filling was delicious. The coffee was perfection black. The spot, Luna Neuva, was so beautiful. A house turned coffee shop. So quaint with lots of little corners to duck into. 2 - fruit samples. We had passion fruit, bread fruit (so delicious and sweet), gooseberries, a tomato fruit (cant remember the name) and a few others then played a cute game to see id we could decipher if we could get the notes and we did! Aira said very few get it right so consider this a challenge! Its also a a co-op space with other artisans so we purchased chocolate, a beautiful lapel pin and a handmade figurine to represent flourishing. 3 - we had ceviche made in front of us with pickled pear juice. It was SOOOOOOO GOOD. I’d go back just for that. Wowwww! 4 - lomo saltado @ Nuna(?) and made in front of you! He calls his spot a laboratory and Hugo is so extremely passionate about his craft. The final two stops - one was a quaint and historic spot that had sandwiches and amazing pisco sours (semi-secco me please!) and a gelato spot. I wish I remembered the name of it. I enjoyed the cinnamon and straciatella but the salted caramel was insaneeeee! All in all, I can ot recommend this food tour enough. We strolled, laughed, took lots of photos and even played the punch buggy game. Aura again is an absolute GEM!

Highly recommend

Highly recommend this trip if you want to explore Miraflores and Barranco. Mostly flat and in dedicated bike lanes. Diego was our leader and he did a great job. We did not make it to the hill that others talk about, but we saw the sunset from the cliffs of Lima and had ice cream in Barranco.

This was an excellent adventure that included a history of cacao, the bean-to-bar process, a chocolate tasting session which included different bars from 100% to 70%, and pouring our own chocolate into molds, making our own customized treats. Angelina was the Master of Ceremonies and was AWESOME!!!
