Great city tour of Lima. Maria (guide) and Victor (driver) were great! Maria’s knowledge of city’s history and architecture was amazing. She was very attentive to every little aspect of the tour. If you are looking for a half day excursion, this is the one! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Itinerary

When booking, choose from the following departure times to fit your schedule: morning, afternoon, or early evening. Meet your private guide at your accommodations in Lima, then depart in a private vehicle.

Start at the Miraflores district to walk along the Malecon, stroll through Love Park and Kennedy Park, and more.

Then head to San Isidro, see the El Olivar Park and the financial center.

Lastly, explore the Lima historic center, to explore San Martín Plaza, populated by homes constructed in the colonial style. Then see the Main Square, the Cathedral (including the chapels of La Inmaculada Concepción and the Sagrada Familia), the Union Club, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipal Palace, and the Government Palace, to name a few.

You have the choice to tour either the Convent of San Francisco and the Catacombs or the Huaca Pucllana Pre Inca Site before drop-off back at your accommodations. This private tour ensures personal attention from your guide and the opportunity to ask questions.

Beautiful Historic Area City Central

It was great once we arrived at the city central & historic area. The traffic is horrible coming & going no matter what day so be prepared & be patient. There are many street that are pedestrian only which is nice. Do not go on the 28th of the month. There is a religious event at the catholic cathedral each month on that day & jammed with people.

This was a good way to get a brief overview of Lima. It is not easy to get around such a busy city with public transportation not convenient. Our tour guide and driver did a great job mainly showing us the historic downtown buildings.

The tour guide herself was friendly and tried her best, but we experienced several issues that unfortunately make me unable to recommend this tour. First, the company changed the start time from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. by messaging me at 11:30 p.m. the night before. I agreed to the change, and as a concession they agreed to drop us off in Barranco at the end of the tour. The biggest issue was that we spent most of the tour stuck in traffic. As a result, we did not experience much of what was advertised in the tour description. There was no stop at Kennedy Cat Park, no time to enjoy a pisco sour in the Historic Center, and we reached the Love Park extremely late—so late that it was too dark to get photos of the famous kissing statue. We also skipped the olive tree stop in San Isidro entirely. The Pucllana Site Museum is literally a drive by. Added zero to the tour. To make things worse, near the end of the tour they attempted to back out of the agreed-upon drop off in Barranco, claiming the driver had an “emergency” and could only take us halfway. I explained that this felt inappropriate and too coincidental. Only after insisting did they honor the original plan and drop us off where they had promised. To be clear, none of this was the tour guide’s fault. The issue lies with how the tour is organized. The company needs to plan better or avoid offering this route on days when traffic makes it impossible to complete the advertised itinerary

Lima great food and people

A great way to discover the city of Lima. The tour takes you to the beautiful Miraflores where you will visit iconic parks as Kennedy park filled with cats, and have great views of the ocean. You will also get to see the city centre and its interesting qnd colorful buildings. Be sure to go and eat at la Rosa Nautica for the best ceviche in Peru and the world. Miraflores is very safe and walkable.

During this half day tour, we stopped at quite a few sites, but the highlight of course was visiting the catacombs! María, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge about Lima. She explained so much about the history of the city and the different buildings, but didn’t overwhelm us and presented it in a way that it was memorable. At the end of the tour, she recommended a local vegetarian restaurant that we never would have found on our own. This is a great way to see the city and see a few attractions.

Our Tour Guide Sophie was informative and accommodating. The driver was good and coordinated well with Sophie. We were picked up at the Lima airport at 9am and pick up communication was effective. We then went on our tour and then were dropped of at our hotel. We appreciate the historical and local insights Sophie provided.

Wonderful Lima Tour

My husband and I had an excellent Tour today with Sophia. Our Tour was modified so as to avoid duplication with a different Tour we are taking tomorrow. Sophia was very receptive to the modified Tour. We were picked up at the hotel and started at Love Park and then went to Kennedy Park to see all the kitties. It was great fun and Sophia provided great insights along the way. Next we went on a tour to the Huaca Pucllana site and Sophia described the history and discovery of the site. It was very interesting. We drove past the Olive Park on the way to the Church of San Francisco & Catacombs which we toured with much fascination. So many bones! Sophia did a wonderful job the whole time and has a calming way about her. When the tour was over we asked if we could be dropped off at a restaurant near our hotel which the driver said was not a problem. Sophia did not go back on the ride with us, but while we were on the drive back, she contacted the driver to let us know that she tried to get us a reservation but they were full. She then recommended Cala and proceeded to get us reservations there. Her efforts on all this went far beyond anything we expected. And the restaurant was amazing BTW. I'd also like to give a shout out to our amazing driver. I think his name was Kenyi but not sure that's the right spelling. He handles the Peru traffic like a real pro. We had the utmost confidence in him as a driver and he was very nice and accomodating was well. Thank you so much for making our first day in Peru such a wonderful experience. Highly r ecommend!

Alexandra and Victor did an excellent job on the tour. They picked us up on time at our hotel with water and snacks. Alexandra spoke perfect English and was very kind and sensitive to our needs and wishes. Victor drove in a way that made us feel safe, in crazy traffic, while Alexandra helped us understand all the customs, history and culture of Peru. We loved all that we saw; the catacombs, the cathedral, the crypt, the plazas. It was awesome! Highly recommend it!

Fantastic Half-Day Tour of Lima!

My husband and I had a great half-day tour of Lima with our guide, Sophia, and our driver, Victor. Victor navigated the hectic Lima traffic smoothly and safely, which made the ride very comfortable. Sophia was an absolute delight—knowledgeable, experienced, and an excellent communicator. We learned so much about the city’s history and culture, and our favorite part of the tour was definitely the catacombs. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Lima in a short amount of time.

This was one of the best city tours we've ever taken. John, our driver, safely maneuvered the insane Lima traffic with skill, ease and great attitude! Alexandra was extremely well informed and directed us with true joy through her city. She was interesting and fun to be with. She was also flexible, altering our tour a little to spend more time in a specific location that we wanted to hear more about. She rerouted us to avoid too many steps for me. Great guide!
