Aymeth (our guide) was engaging, energetic, responsive, and organized. She communicated the schedule and activities in English and Spanish and kept our attention with jokes, comments, and advice. Highly recommend her for other travelers to Lima. The trip overall was also really good! All the guides were knowledgeable, patient and professional. The Paracas Candelabra was beautiful, and the dune buggy and sand boarding were fun. I highly recommend this trip and feel that it’s worth the full day of travel.

This tour was with PeruHop . First of all they were late to pick us up about 1 hour, which was very relevant to me since they had us waiting since 5 am, to then be late. Then they stopped for lunch around 230 pm. No stop for breakfast whatsoever. Finally the bus AC not working , we were in a sauna for a long time. The bus had no windows. They managed to get another bus for the return. Got back in Lima close to midnight.
The places we visited, the Ballestas island and the desert were nice but the overall experience was a little bit traumatic. Not relaxing due to all the inconveniences. If you are going to be in the area then I would recommend to visit but the travel from Lima is around 5 hrs each way. Traffic, distance and isolated roads, just pray for no mechanic issues.
Not worth it for me!
On a good note Anayeli, the tour guide was very nice. Working to solve all the arising problems.

This experience is so fun and the host is great. I didn’t feel rushed at all like other excursion groups. Everybody was friendly and we felt like one big family at the end. They are also very safe, I didn’t want to wear a helmet for the dune buggies but I understood it lol. They also accommodated my pick up as my hotel was not listed (Ibis Budget Inn) but was still in Miraflores. I would def pick them again!

absolutely spectacular. an unforgettable experience with an amazing guide. mr. sergio was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and generous. a guide was great as mr. sergio was just the cherry on top of a 10/10 tour. you will have such an incredible time with this event, every part of the tour is handled with a lot of care and expertly crafted to give you the most memorable experience available. if you only have one day in peru, i would gladly recommend this. do not skip this activity! the boat ride was great, the sand boarding was fun, the food was delicious, just great all around. and again, mr. sergio definitely made everything 10x better by being the best kind of guide there is!

I didn't have any experience like this before where you can see pallicans, seagulls, and native birds of Peru in person in such a large quantity.
I never had speed boat and Dunne Buggy experience before, so it is cool and fun.

This was an adventure!! Very fun and very interesting!! Sand dunes was fire!! The tour Guide could have been a bit more patient as tourists don’t like to be rushed while they are enjoying themselves!! But learning about pisco at the vineyard and drawing the different illustrations was very unique and educational!! This experience was 10/10 experiences!

The Paracas and Huacachina tour was a really good and educational experience. I enjoyed learning about the different places we visited, and the entire trip was well worth it. The highlight of the tour was definitely the sandboarding and dune buggy ride in Huacachina—it was so much fun and truly the top of the trip! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Incredible day! Brilliantly organised and jam packed. Like three excursions in one - boat trip, vineyard and the sand dunes! Couldn't rate this highly enough. The dune buggy and sand boarding were so so so fun!!! Lots of little touches that made the day really special. Our guide Nilo went above and beyond and was very passionate!

Peru Hop arranging 2 separate trips with luxury coach from Lima. The morning boat trip in Paracas is ok. But we had a 3 turns rollover accident in the Huacachina desert, made several of us hurt our muscles by hitting the buggy iron frames. Luckily we have tightened the safety belt that avoid us throwing out of the buggy. Also one of our Nikon camera got damaged, Peru Hop only offer $250 repair cost , 40% of Nikon USA quotation of repair. Initially Peru Hop only offer refund $20 each for the Huacachina desert ride which we all declined.

We were genuinely concerned to learn about the accident during the Huacachina dune buggy experience. While the Paracas boat trip was a positive part of your day, we recognize that the incident in the dunes had a significant impact on your overall experience, including the damage to your camera equipment.
The dune buggy and sandboarding experience is operated by one of our local partners. As soon as we were made aware of the situation, our Customer Experience team worked directly with the operator to investigate what happened and advocate for your group. We ultimately arranged a contribution towards the camera repair and provided an additional goodwill refund for the buggy and sandboarding activity.
We’re sorry that this experience happened during your journey with us. Safety is something we take very seriously, and we’re committed to working closely with our local partners to ensure the appropriate standards are maintained.

We did this activity on our second day in Peru and set the tone for what to expect for the remainder of the trip.
We had so much fun. The experience was rich and laughter was our language. Im happy I booked this tour.
Anna our tour guide from Peru Hop did an excellent job at keeping us on schedule and updated with all relevant information
Our driver Daniel navigated the traffic carefully to get to and from safely and im very grateful for that.

Very well organized tour. I am glad I ended up going the day trip instead of staying. The main downside is the helmets. I and many passengers could not get helmets to fit on our heads due to having a bigger head or more hair. I had to hold the straps during the ride. It was a safety risk to not have them tied and I think they should spend money on buying larger helmets for safety.

The tour to Paracas was wonderful. We saw so many animals and the driver and guide made sure each side of the boat saw the animals. It was a 5 out of 5!. The sand dunes were a 0 out of 5. The driver would not address my concerns about the seat belt and it came loose. After slamming my head into the top of the buggy roof, we finally stopped. He just shrugged. I would not recommend.

However, we were very concerned to read about what happened during the dune buggy experience, particularly regarding the seat belt and the fact that you hit your head. The dune buggy experience is operated by a local partner who is expected to follow strict safety protocols, including checking that all seat belts are secure before each ride. We were genuinely surprised to read what happened, as this falls well below the standards we expect. We have shared your feedback with the operator for immediate review and follow-up, and we will also be looking into the circumstances surrounding the seat belt to help prevent anything similar from happening again.

Excellent tour, with an outstanding, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. However, the tour was too long - 20 hours (from pick-up at the hotel to returning to the hotel). During the tour, there was a lot of waiting and hurrying (almost running at some places). I would recommend not advertising the tour as a one-day tour but splitting it into two parts, with an overnight stay organised by the travel agency.

We were picked up on time from our hotel, at 4:50am. The bus was comfortable enough (air conditioned with reclining seats). There was a small bathroom onboard, but the basin did not work (unable to wash hands). We were not notified until after pickup that the trip to our 1st destination would be 3 hours long, which would have been great to know beforehand. The boat trip was comfortable and educational. The food options for lunch were edible but not great. The tasting was ok. We tasted 4 or 5 different varieties of Pisco. Huacachina was very fun. We got great pictures; sand boarded down 2 different dunes and had a blast on the dune buggy ride. The sunset toast was just a shot of a sweet red wine (we were expecting a glass of champagne or an option to choose what we preferred to drink). The ride back was a grueling 4 hours. We were dropped off to our hotel at about 11:45pm.

We would like to clarify that this is a full-day experience designed to combine several of the most iconic attractions outside Lima. Due to the distance between these destinations, the itinerary does involve several hours of transportation, which is indicated in the tour information before booking. While it makes for a long day, many travellers choose this option because it allows them to experience these destinations in one convenient trip.
Regarding the onboard bathroom, our buses are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure a comfortable journey for our passengers. We appreciate you bringing this specific issue to our attention and have shared it with our long-term transport partner so it can be reviewed and addressed.

We had a wonderful day trip to Paracas and Ica, made even better by Sergio, who was friendly, professional, and kept everything well organized from start to finish.
One of the highlights of the day was the visit to the Ballestas Islands, where we were able to see sea lions, penguins, and many different seabirds in their natural habitat. The boat tour was fantastic and offered some beautiful views of the coastline and the famous Candelabra geoglyph.
We also enjoyed exploring Paracas and visiting the stunning oasis of Huacachina, which is truly a unique and picturesque place.
A note for future travelers: a significant part of the afternoon is dedicated to the dune buggy and sandboarding activities. Personally, we felt that if you’re not particularly interested in sandboarding, it can seem like a lot of time spent on one activity. The buggy ride itself wasn’t really our favorite part of the trip, although that’s entirely our personal opinion. Many people in our group absolutely loved it and had a great time, so it really depends on what you’re looking for.
Overall, the combination of the Ballestas Islands, Paracas, and Huacachina made for a memorable day, and Sergio’s excellent organization and positive attitude helped make the experience smooth and enjoyable.
