Don’t miss going to this UNESCO archeological site. It is 3 times larger than Machu Pichu so you get driven to the various areas you can visit. We saw a portion of the Inca Trail and parts of the Temple of the Sun. The museum is small but has some excellent textiles and pottery, as well as the ancient totem. The site goes back thousands of years. Our guide Jordan was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the history of the site, the various periods it was active, building construction, etc. His English was very good. Our driver Facundo maneuvered through the traffic without any difficulties. Incan’t recommend this tour enough.
We booked this private tour of Pachacamac as the last stop of our Peru journey, and it turned out to be a wonderful way to round off the trip. We started in the site museum and then walked the archaeological site itself, which was exactly the right order — the museum gave us the context, and everything made much more sense once we were standing among the ruins.
Our guide Jordan was fantastic: extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a gifted storyteller who explained everything clearly and patiently. A special highlight was his use of a tablet to show us images and videos — not of the site itself, but to give us a broader understanding of Peru’s cultures and the country as a whole. That really helped us put everything into context.
We’d also like to thank our driver, Facundo, who got us safely and attentively through Lima’s terrible traffic — much appreciated!
We couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion to our time in Peru. Highly recommended — and if you can, ask for Jordan!
I did a private tour, solo, with Jordan (my guide) and Jose (my driver). This was a fabulous introduction to the history and archeology of Peru. Jordan was a great guide who explained everything thoughly and with interesting stories. We explored the museum and the entire grounds - plenty of time, at no time did I feel rushed. A great preparation for a trip to Machu Picchu. Wonderful day!
The Private Pachacamac Tour was the highlight of our time in Peru. Jordan provided the history of Peru prior to arriving at the site. He throughly explained the exhibits in the museum at Pachacamac and escorted us on a tour of the site. Our driver, Facundo, was friendly and a great driver! We would definitely suggest this tour as it was fantastic.
This tour was excellent! Our guide, Sophia, was very knowledgeable. She thoroughly explained the history of Pachacamac and answered all of our questions. We definitely gained a deeper understanding of the pre-Incan and Incan cultures through her commentary. She was flexible in allowing us to set the pace and take photos as we wished. Our driver was skilled and our van clean and comfortable despite navigating through the bumpy dirt roads of the site. We highly recommend this tour!
Edwin was an excellent guide to an astonishing place, the pre-Columbian ruins of the Temple of the Sun. Edwin took us to every corner of the huge excavation and explained every detail. Wonderful tour.
Excellent experience at Pachacamac. The activity was very well organized and informative. The museum does a great job of presenting the evolution of the site and the different civilizations that inhabited the area, which really helps set the context before the visit. Our guide, Sofia, was extremely knowledgeable, shared valuable historical insights, and spoke excellent Portuguese, which made the experience even better. The tour ended with a fascinating walk through the archaeological site itself. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history and culture.
Jason was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. He looked after us very well during the afternoon tour we took with him, explaining things in detail and answering all of our questions. He was a real pleasure to be around for an afternoon and we had a great time together. I thoroughly recommend both him and this tour.
Jordan was very knowledgeable and fun. He gave us a short overview of Peruvian history in the way. It was very helpful in understanding how the different people built and used the different ruins. He made things a lot of fun also.
We received great communication from Jordan about our tour in Lima. We were on a cruise ship in Callao and there wasn't an option to get off our shuttle buses at the entrance to the port, so we're picked up at miraflores Indian market. This trip can take over 75mins, so be aware of this when booking. It took 2 hours in peak traffic and negotiating the trucks on the port... INSANE! Dianne met us at the market on time, communication through WhatsApp.. there's internet at the market. Dianne was informative and knowledgeable, and her English was easy to understand. She was patient and kept those who were anxious about getting back to the market for the ship informed about timings. I found the museum fascinating, my husband found the ruins fascinating. Win win. We went on a Saturday and the crowds were minimal. Very pleasant. Oh, and take some cash for the king Kong cake at the Cafe, exceptional. Brilliant tour
It was easy to communicate with the tour company to arrange our pick up. The knowledge of the guide was very good. Nice comfortable vehicle for the tour. A very good driver. The Pachacamac site was interesting. Well worth the money.

The agency was very friendly and reliable. The tour guide of the day was Jordan who was also very friendly and entertaining. He did not only explain the site, but also told us some interesting facts and anecdotes about life in Peru. The tour began in a small, but modern and beautifully arranged museum with some information about the site and artifacts found there. Afterwards, there was an extensive tour through the site by car and on foot. The site is huge and quite impressive and only partially explored. The desert landscape and the usual gray sky of Lima in the winter created a unique atmosphere. I enjoyed the trip and would recommend it to everyone who likes archeological sites and history. Expect delays due to traffic.

I love the fact that they pick you up at your hotel. There is no worry or trouble about finding where to catch your tour. The guide was very informative and on the way to the ruins told us facts about Peru. The tour was nice in that she gave facts about the ruins, went through the museum, then saw the ruins but let it be at our own pace. I am not someone who wants to stand there for 10 minutes looking at the remains or taking 100 pictures. I like to see it, hear some facts and move on. I liked that it's at our own pace. The guide was knowledgeable. The driver was very nice and opened my door and closed it every time. I thought about 3 hours was enough time. It's outside the city but not too far. Great tour.
