- It is really important to advise any specific dietary restrictions at time of booking (vegetarian, vegan, gluten, allergies, etc.), otherwise we cannot assure to adapt the menu the day of the tour.
- Vegetarian and vegan options are limited in Peru. If you expect a balanced menu protein wise, please do not book. There won't be tofu nor lentils, and eggs are not widely used in preparations.
- Please note guides will not be providing their service in multiple languages simultaneously. Make sure you book the right tour/language
- Pick up and drop off not included. Private tours with transportation available on the Exquisito Perú website.
- We won't wait for latecomers more than 5 mins past the tour start time.

This was one of our favorite experiences of our entire trip to Peru. Our guide Paulola was awesome. She took use around to grab places the show us all the ins and out of Peruvian cuisine and cooking. I would suggest this to anyone looking to understand the culture better.

Marcos takes you on an amazing trip through Peruvian gastronomy, on a 4h waking trip to authentic food places. This food tour was one of the best due to the variety of foods, the locations at which they were presented, the quality of food but most importantly our guide. Valeria was excellent! She gave such in-depth descriptions of the locations we visited, the environment (buildings and space) as we walked and most importantly the foods / drinks we tasted. Truly a wonderful experience!

This was awesome. You're in a nice neighborhood of Lima and you learn the history of the different foods you try. The food was spectacular. My guide for the small group (I went solo and met other wonderful people) was Nathaly, and she was amazing. I highly recommend this experience. Make sure you show up with an empty stomach!!!

Ask for Valeria. She is fun, informative and organized. Each restaurant had excellent quality food. I enjoyed going to the kitchen to watch the chef prepare the meal..a treat! You come away with a better understanding of the Peruvian foods and culture.

The food tour led by Laura was a fabulous sampler of the cuisine and culture of a captivating Lima neighborhood. We visited 6 venues and the food was adventurous and delicious. As a guide Laura was warm and engaging. Our group was small and we were all English speakers but Laura's command of our language was high level. She led us to lovely spaces giving us information along the way. This tour of Barranco was my favourite experience in Lima. Thank you Laura!

Sheila is a great guide as this is not her only specialty
Expect in addition to visit to authentic Peruvian restaurants and bars also some history, nice smile and very pleasant pace .
But be aware that there is a lot to consume so I suggest start this activity with empty stomach !

Aura is the cutest guide ever! We made six food stops with street art and gallery visits in between.
We started with a fresh fruit tasting, where my favorites were chirimoya and granadilla, followed by empanadas and coffee. The third stop featured lomo saltado and anticuchos (grilled beef heart), where we could watch the chef cook. Next was ceviche and pescado frito over puré de papa amarilla, again prepared live by the chef.
We also visited several galleries, and one artwork really stood out. It reflected on the meaning of “Us” versus “I,” symbolizing two souls coming together before marriage and learning to truly know one another through love over time.
Our fifth stop was pisco sour, made fresh in front of us with pisco, lime juice, and egg white, and the final stop was gelato.
Throughout the tour, Aura was incredibly informative, sharing insights about the food, ingredients, and the art and history of the colorful Barranco neighborhood.

Small group of 5. Marcus was a great guide. Tour started a little slow with the first stop. After that it picked up. The Chinese place we watched the cooking in the kitchen. We watched making the ceviche and the sea bass was great. To end the end we had pisco sour and then gelato. Great tour and we got some history to go with it
