Informative Geisha Tour with Kris
This was a really informative tour! Kris is an American so it was really interesting getting his perspective on Japanese culture and how he was able to move to Japan and build a life. We did not see a geisha but the Kyoto area was gorgeous, despite all the tourists. I recommend this tour for anyone visiting Kyoto as it was a great introduction to the area, while being respectful as a tourist. We walked through a residential neighborhood and Kris was good about informing us to not take pictures and to be quiet when walking through. Kris was also really funny and told lots of interesting stories about his experience in Japan!

Highly recommended!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Osaka Castle walking tour. Mao was an excellent guide. Her enthusiasm for sharing the history of the castle and the surrounding grounds was very evident and infectious. We were very fortunate to be attending on a beautiful sunny day when the sakura were in full bloom. Being able to bypass the long line in order to enter the castle was a huge bonus. Highly recommended experience!

This tour was a great way...
This tour was a great way to learn about the maki g of Sake and it's place in japanese culture. Bob was a great guide who had worked in a brewery. He could offer insights into what it was like to produce it and had interesting cultural observations as well.

If you’re going to explore Kanazawa you need Yuri
Yuri is the best guide you could wish for. Not only does she have great knowledge, she made us comfortable right upon meeting her, we had lots of laughs, and she took charge of the photos which meant we could take in everything without a care. She didn’t just fill us in on history, she even taught s cultural etiquette like the right way to wipe your hands in a restaurant. We wish we could take her on our entire trip of Japan.

Fun night out in Tokyo
Our food tour in Sangenjaya with Simon was a highlight of our Tokyo trip! Simon was wonderful; fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about Japanese food culture and local life.
He guided us through the vibrant alleys to authentic izakayas truly off the tourist trail. From hidden sake spots - the door to one literally looked like a shelf - to a standing bar and traditional teppanyaki, every stop was a blast!
Simon made the evening feel less like a tour and more like exploring the neighborhood with a knowledgeable local friend. Highly recommend!

Imperial palace tour
We had an Imperial Palace tour with our guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Nonoka was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly. The tour was smooth, well paced, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Professional and well prepared tour!
My experience with Yoshi was nothing short of FANTASTIC! I admire the preparation and professionalism he has and also the tons of documented photos he had for each architect showcased during the tour. The dedication to detail made me appreciate the tour even more. I also had a great time chatting with him during our break and our walk along Omotesando. I would gladly recommend for first-time visitors interested in architecture within Harajuku and Omotesando!

Wonderful tour of Nijo-jo Castle
Very nice tour with Alex. Lovely bloke from Kiev, really knew his history, could answer all of the myriad questions fired at him. Good humor, easygoing, enjoyed his history lessons and anecdotes. He was a very good guide for this tour. Thank you Alex!

Best experience. MUST book with Max!
Max from Ninja Food Tours was INCREDIBLE! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about sake and also incredibly personable and entertaining. My husband and I had the best time learning about the history of sake and tasting a few of Max’s favorites. If you book this tour, youMUST request Max for a truly incredible and memorable experience.

Meiji Shrine Tour
I loved Meiji shrine. It was my favourite attraction in Tokyo. Even in the hot summer it felt cool due to the foliage. I strongly recommend this tour if you are interested in Japanese history and religion. I really loved the tour guide Nonoka. She was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

It was really great and...
It was really great and very interesting! We did not expect that we would stay the whole session, but were mesmerized by the entire process: the physicality, respect, hierarchy, business aspect, hygiene, etc. Also unbeknownst to us when i booked it, the stable we visited was one of the top facilities. I highly recommend to get an understanding of this sport and an important part of Japanese culture. Our guide, Max, was also great -- calm, knowledgeable, easy to understand and funny.
