Both the Topkapi Palace and Basilica Cistern were amazing, and you observe and learn much more with a guide vs. doing it on your own. Huseyin was an excellent guide, providing great insights and then delving deeper based on our questions. He kept us on an appropriate pace without rushing us, and I would highly recommend him to others. The only thing I would change is to tell people that they can purchase Basilica tickets with a credit card. That will prevent them from bringing more currency than necessary. Also, patrons should beware of hawkers outside the Cistern trying to misdirect you. Somebody tried that with us, but fortunately Huseyin had been in communication with us and even shared a picture of himself so we know who to look for.

Serkan the Great. Unbelievable guide.

I thoroughly enjoyed this private tour with Serkan. His knowledge of the history of the mosques and the Harem was exceptional and made the experience truly worthwhile. Having a private tour created a much more personal and intimate atmosphere. I never had to worry about other tourists interrupting, and Serkan was able to take the time to explain each location we visited in great detail. For me, the best tours are the ones where it's just you and the guide, allowing for a more engaging and customized experience. Serkan exceeded my expectations in every way. Wonderful tour with a wonderful guide!

Had a great 2-day tour with our guide, Çiçek. She is a fountain of knowledge to all the sites and knows her way around the city. Highly recommend booking with the driver option so they can take you through some crazy streets to help you see the sites. Çiçek also had great stores to recommend in the Bazaar if you want to shop.

I had a lovely tour with Zel who was informative and tailored the tour as it was just me. She collected me at my hotel and gave me information on tram stops and tips about the area I was staying in. She is passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of Istanbul and Turkey and I liked her immediately. She gave me plenty of photo opportunities and became my photographer for certain photos!
