A Wonderful Evening with Zey & friends

This was a very well organized and presented evening that we'll remember. Zey, our guide, was a great person to teach us about the activities but also to visit with over dinner. She kept us organized and moving. First the street food- excellent. Then, the Sufi Whirling Dervish presentation was so much more than I expected. A unique and moving presentation. The main meal in an historic neighborhood was excellent- tried things I loved that I might never have tasted on my own. And the transportation was professional and flawless. I would take another tour with Zey specifically anytime, and the communication through Viator was great. As a side note, I was hesitant to download Whatsapp as recommended but now that we've used it, I can see the value in having it for just such a purpose. The time of the event was adjusted to give us a full group, and having seen other reviewers mention that has happened to them, we made sure to check our messages in the afternoon. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Excellent guide, value & food in a very cool neighborhood

Sarkan was an excellent guide! We loved touring Kadikoy and getting to spend time on the Asian side of Istanbul. The food tour featured diverse stops and menu offerings and we were full by the end of it. We ended up hanging out in Kadikoy longer after our tour versus hopping right back on the ferry because it was such a vibrant and fun neighborhood that felt very local. It was nice to explore outside of the Old City and Galeta.

Great way to start our trip

This was an amazing introduction to Turkish culinary culture and a wonderful way to experience the city. Come with an empty stomach and enjoy all the delicious food! Great Food Tour

I really enjoyed this food tour! It was a great way to experience different foods and explore the city while learning along the way. The pace was fairly easy to keep up with, and the group was well organized, so I never felt rushed or like I was falling behind. One thing I would recommend is bringing cash. It makes paying at the different stops much easier and more convenient, especially since you’re visiting multiple places throughout the tour. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend the experience to anyone looking for a fun way to explore Istanbul through its food!

A Taste of Istanbul with a View

This was a highlight of our time in Istanbul. Zey's expertise, delicious street food, beautiful rooftop views, and an incredible family-style Turkish dinner made for a truly memorable evening. We sampled a wonderful variety of authentic dishes—come hungry, because there is plenty of food! The experience was well organized and offered much more than a meal. We also learned about Istanbul’s history, culture, and local food traditions while visiting places we likely would not have discovered on our own. The rooftop stop was especially beautiful, and the transportation between locations made the evening comfortable and effortless. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Istanbul. It is a fantastic introduction to the city, its culture, and its amazing food.

What a day

Oh what can we say Gamze, was a wonderful tour. She was kind, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. There was never a dull moment. A must do when in Istanbul!

This food tour was the highlight of our time in Istanbul! We were traveling as a group of friends. It was incredible value for money and Fatih was so informative. It was a mix of culture and food. So many tastings were included. My favourites were the pickles and the stuffed mussels. We also brought our 2 year old on the tour and they were very patient with her. Don’t hesitate to book you won’t regret it!

Great Tour!

What a fantastic food tour! Our guide and his guide friend were brilliant- kind, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. We had already been on a different food tour and our guides made sure we tried new food we had not already tried. The food was delicious and plentiful. I liked the fact we just paid for the food we wanted. Balat is a fantastic colourful area - I would highly recommend this food tour. Thanks again to the guides :)

Not your standard tour, Better!

This was so very interesting and totally different than the standard tour. While I certainly saw a number of key sites and learned a great deal of history and culture this was the by no means a 'standard' tour. My tour guide was honest and open about the culture, the history, the city and anything that I asked. Additionally, I have to say, the lunch he took me on was one of my absolute favorites. It was clear why the locals ate there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Comprehensive and enjoyable tour of the main sites in Istanbul

Our guide was Errol and he was super friendly, open and very well informed As it says in the description you visit all the key sites, understand what they are and why they are there and then if you want to go back and enjoy in more detail you can. The tours also included a meander through a couple of markets and plenary of time for general chat about the city, customs and food with lots of tips. It’s about 3.5 hours so you might want to stop for a coffee half way. It’s a great intro to the city and Errol was an excellent host.
