A Truly Magical Turkish Experience — Worth Every Penny!

This experience was so much more than I imagined! I really enjoyed the wonderful Turkish food, traditional snacks, and especially the spiritual Whirling Dervish ceremony. The ceremony felt very sacred and meaningful, and I really appreciated being able to experience and learn about this beautiful cultural and spiritual tradition. Our guide, Zey, was wonderful. She was incredibly thoughtful, pleasant, and attentive throughout the experience. My name isn’t always easy to remember or pronounce, but she remembered it right away and kept calling me by my name, which was such a thoughtful personal touch. I’m very particular about food, and although I’m not very familiar with Turkish cuisine, I could immediately tell that the restaurant she took us to was high quality. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, the food was delicious, and you could tell that the restaurant really paid attention to the details. For the price, I honestly thought this experience was a bargain. I enjoyed it so much and am really glad I decided to join. If you’re visiting Istanbul and aren’t quite sure what to do, I would definitely recommend this experience. It was such a pleasant and memorable evening!

A Taste of Istanbul with a View

This was a highlight of our time in Istanbul. Zey's expertise, delicious street food, beautiful rooftop views, and an incredible family-style Turkish dinner made for a truly memorable evening. We sampled a wonderful variety of authentic dishes—come hungry, because there is plenty of food! The experience was well organized and offered much more than a meal. We also learned about Istanbul’s history, culture, and local food traditions while visiting places we likely would not have discovered on our own. The rooftop stop was especially beautiful, and the transportation between locations made the evening comfortable and effortless. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Istanbul. It is a fantastic introduction to the city, its culture, and its amazing food.

Wonderful tour!

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Kamal! He was such a personable, kind, and genuinely nice guy. He was extremely knowledgeable about Istanbul and the area, and his English was perfect, which made everything so easy. Kamal went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see—and even more. He made us feel safe and well taken care of, handled all the communication with taxis and gave us great recommendations for places to eat. He truly made our time in Istanbul special. After spending the day with Kamal, I can definitely see why this company has five star reviews across the board. We highly recommend him!

Great excursion

We spent over 6 hours eating our way across two continents sampling all kinds of Turkish food We started the morning with a delicious Michelin-starred light breakfast at the hotel — and then somehow managed to keep eating all day! The food tour took us from one fun stop to another, with some history lessons, laughs and good conversation along the way. And thankfully, we had some probiotic pickle juice to help us digest everything we ate! A long day, a very full stomach, and a fun experience!

Had a great time on this tour—guide (Arda) was friendly and knowledgeable, and very clear in his explanations and organization of the group. He clearly thought ahead about the flow of things and then handled everything so smoothly that it seemed effortless. Really enjoyed trying a variety of different foods, and it was great to share with others so we didn’t get full just on one dish. Also—a friend booked the tour separately and we were able to request that we all get assigned to the same guide, which was also helpful and appreciated. If I go back to Istanbul someday I will definitely go back to the Asian side to try more yummy foods!

What a day

Oh what can we say Gamze, was a wonderful tour. She was kind, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. There was never a dull moment. She took us to a variety of places and tried a great variety of popular Turkish food. I loved this tour and it prompted us to spend our last night in Istanbul on the Asian side. Totally recommend

Amazing food tour!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to this food tour after an all day tour in Istanbul, but I'm so glad I did. Our tour guide, Binnur, did such an amazing job with taking us to different parts of Istanbul that I didn't get to see from the full day tour. This tour covered both European and Asian side of Istanbul and we got to see and experience the history of Istanbul with what locals eat everyday. There were so many different types of foods we got to try starting from traditional Turkish breakfast, Turkish pizza, seafood, and of course the desserts! The tour also included the ferry rides that we enjoyed. This was such an amazing tour!

Great Walking Food Tour!

This was a great experience to try while in Istanbul. Our guide, Jeremy was great. He met us at the meeting point in Kadikoy Square. We zigzaged around the Asian side of the city to visit street food vendors, restaurants and cafes to try some delicious foods. Along the way Jeremy gave us some insights into the food itself, the history and culture of Turkey and some basic travel tips. Our group was small, just me, my partner and a family of three. Highly recommend trying this out!

Great Tour!

What a fantastic food tour! Our guide and his guide friend were brilliant- kind, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. We had already been on a different food tour and our guides made sure we tried new food we had not already tried. The food was delicious and plentiful. I liked the fact we just paid for the food we wanted. Balat is a fantastic colourful area - I would highly recommend this food tour. Thanks again to the guides :)

Not your standard tour, Better!

This was so very interesting and totally different than the standard tour. While I certainly saw a number of key sites and learned a great deal of history and culture this was the by no means a 'standard' tour. My tour guide was honest and open about the culture, the history, the city and anything that I asked. Additionally, I have to say, the lunch he took me on was one of my absolute favorites. It was clear why the locals ate there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Comprehensive and enjoyable tour of the main sites in Istanbul

Our guide was Errol and he was super friendly, open and very well informed As it says in the description you visit all the key sites, understand what they are and why they are there and then if you want to go back and enjoy in more detail you can. The tours also included a meander through a couple of markets and plenary of time for general chat about the city, customs and food with lots of tips. It’s about 3.5 hours so you might want to stop for a coffee half way. It’s a great intro to the city and Errol was an excellent host.
