Going to see the Cistern was a truly wonderful experience.
The tour guide was knowledgeable enough but to be honest he was only with us for about 20 minutes - even so we skipped the lines which was great.
The Cistern is not to be missed.

Unfortunately I did not take a pic of our guide to share his name, but he was great! His English was perfect & knowledge was superb! We asked many questions of which he always answered. This was #2 of my favorite places & #1 was Hagia Sophia! Wonderful city, very safe & very cosmopolitan!!!!

Did not see we were supposed to meet our guide elsewhere and went directly to the Cistern. They would not let us use our tickets as an unguided tour so we just paid for tickets there 🥴

The only benefit of this tour versus buying your own ticket is that you don't have to wait in a very long line to get in (you skip the line) and you get ten minute short storyline about basilica - then you explore on your own. It's worth it as long as you know what to expect.

This was one of the places we most wanted to see in Istanbul, along with the Hagia Sophia. We were not disappointed with either. It was so nice to avoid the long ticket line and go right in. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

We were at the meeting point at 11:00am waited until 11:45 no guide showed up!!!!!! I sent multiple messages to the service provider but the only response I got ( 20 minutes after first message ) was guide will have white flag with epass on it. Not very helpful seeing it was already 45 minutes after our start time. We had to stand in a line for 40 minutes buy a second lot of tickets and see the Basillica by ourselves. I would advise not to book with this company unless you like wasting time and money.

Excursion is very short and guide is only available for 20 minutes. The line was short at 4 pm so skip the line was not necessary at that time.

Super cool spot and paying extra to cut the line was totally worth it (though if youre pressed for cash the line does move quick). Also totally worth the 10-12 minute history lesson with the guide in the beginning. He kept the details interesting and quick

The Cistern is a must see in Istanbul. It is totally unique! Our guide was rather disorganized and arrived exactly at the appointed time. His commentary was just average but the sight of the Cistern is amazing.

Interesting place. The guide was quiet but knowledgeable. The meet up was a bit chaotic but soon sorted. The Cistern is a fascinating place and really interesting. A lift would have helped and it was very busy but thats to be expected.

Difficult to find guide as the area of “hop on hop off buses” where we were told to wait was a large area and in full sunlight.
Guide arrived 5 minutes before tour began and the flag at the end of his stick was too small to see. Fortunately he yelled out the name of company and the tour.
He took us to the “Skip the Queue” entrance. His information was adequate. He spoke for about 15 minutes inside.
We then were on our own which was ok.
The Light show enhanced the experience and atmosphere.
