I was travelling with my assistance dog. Understandably Turkish culture made a couple of speed bumps in our day out however Yalcin went to all kinds of levels to make it an incredible experience and had a very flexible plan. I wouldn’t have been able to see half the things we did without him. Such a great person and help

Great way to see the sights

We really enjoyed our one-day tour with Çiçek. With Eid coming up, we wanted to see as much as we could in one day. She knew the timing and schedules for all the sites so that we could see each site at its best. And the guides can skip lines. Not to mention that they know the best spots to get pictures! She steered us to a wonderful place to get a snack when we were hungry and gave us recommendations for what will be open during Eid. Yes, she did take us to a carpet shop (I get the impression this is what the tourist companies do) but it was interesting and we didn’t feel any pressure to buy. In fact this store was very classy and if we’d known we’d be going to Istanbul I might have measured an area in my house because their carpets were gorgeous. I highly recommend her as a guide if you come.

Honestly, we loved this experience. Our guide was super friendly and easy to talk to, and you could tell he really knew his stuff. It never felt like a boring, scripted tour, he was constantly sharing interesting stories, not just about the landmarks but also about everyday life in the city. We visited some amazing places like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. Seeing all of that is already impressive, but it’s a whole different experience when someone explains it in a fun and engaging way. We also stopped by some local shops, which we really enjoyed. It was cool to see traditional Turkish crafts like ceramics and carpets up close, and even learn a bit about how they’re made. Everything looked beautiful and very authentic. Overall, it was such a great experience, fun, interesting, and super informative without feeling overwhelming. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Istanbul.

A wonderful day exploring the best of Istanbul

Our guide was very professional and friendly. During the tour we visited some of Istanbul’s most famous landmarks, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. He was extremely knowledgeable about history and shared many interesting stories, not only about the monuments but also about daily life in Istanbul. We also had the opportunity to visit some beautiful local shops and learn more about traditional Turkish art and craftsmanship, such as ceramics and carpets. Funda was super knowledgeable, patient and willing to pivot at any time for your interests (not hers). Recommends the best local food and shops that are clean and safe. Sam was terrific! He was very knowledgeable of the “old” section of Istanbul and tailored our tour to suit us. We toured the Blue mosque and the NOT TO BE MISSED cistern. As he grew up in the grand bazaar area he was able to show us some areas off the beaten path. We also toured the spice market and had lunch with the locals. On our first trip to...

On our first trip to Istanbul we had to pick the major sites to see on our tour. We got to most of them and skipped the ones we didn't want to do. Our tour guide Serhan was very good, giving us information on the sites we went to and much of the history behind them. It was a full day of walking and standing. We are here in the early days of October and there were many tourists here. Some of the lines went fast and some were so long we chose to skip them. The entrance fees to some of the places were expensive, in my opinion. It is a great city to explore and having a guide was also very helpful.

ESRA was a fantastic guide. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history and culture, she was also a pleasure to spend the day with. We explored the sights at whatever pace I wanted. In addition, she helped me navigate and bargain at the grand bazaar. We visited spots she knew well and I never felt any pressure to make a purchase. A Lovely Day on the Historic Asian side of Istanbul

My tour guide was lovely. She met me at a coffee shop near my hotel and gave me the option of taking a taxi, tram or walking to the Asian side. I was really jet lagged and choose to take a cab from the European side to the Hagia Sophia. We entered the Hagia Sophia when it was early so we didn’t need to wait in line. After that we visited the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. We also visited a rug shop that demonstrated how the rugs were woven and a ceramics shop that demonstrated how the ceramics were made. Finally we visited the Grand Bazaar where she brought me into a couple shops where she knew the owners. If a person was interested in spices, textiles, handbags or candy she would direct me to the best shops. She seemed to know someone everywhere we went. I choose not to visit Topkapi Palace because was tired. Since this was a private tour we were able to modify the tour. And she paced to tour to accommodate my walking speed. We had a great lunch with lots of conversation. Note: Meals and entrance fees were not included.

Exceptional guide and the most wonderful day in Istanbul

I booked a full day private tour with Burak for my friend and I and am so pleased and happy with how it went. He was wonderful, spoke really good English, and was incredibly knowledgeable. A nice clean transfer van picked us up directly from our hotel to take us to the tour meeting point (included in the price). He walked us all over the historical center and stopped to talk about anything we were interested in for as long as we would like. We saw everything we wanted to see in the full day. Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapki palace, basilica Cistern (go, it’s amazing!) and the grand Bazar. He was so patient and kind and took us to many many places in the bazaar and seemed to know some special spots of great artisans (and good people) that we would’ve never found on our own. We even were treated to a wonderful demonstration of how Turkish carpets are made and the history behind them. Amazing!! I had no intention of buying a Turkish carpet before I came here but ended up buying one to ship home. I will treasure it as one of my favorite things I did and bought on my trip abroad. Burak treated us like family and made the whole experience a once in a lifetime that I will not soon forget. And I can’t wait to come back to Turkey to see more of its beautiful country and people. She was flexible with our schedule and got us to the head of the line for many sites. We were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch at a lovely sidewalk cafe. Emel is a wonderful guide! She is very knowledgeable and made accommodations for our time in port. She tailored the experience to prioritize the areas that were important to us and especially baked in the time for my teen daughters' photo ops. She also recommended additional experiences that she believed we may be interested. All the while, she was keeping track of our embarkation times and brought us back to the terminal to personally make sure all was fine. This was a necessity to make our experience one to remember.
