This tour, with David, was quite enjoyable, and his energy was contagious. From the fishing villages to the caves all was unique and interesting. The visit to the family owned oystery was nice, and the pearl shop was very good. The meal on the boat was enormous and tasty. Be ready to walk a lot of stairs in the cave.

Our tour guide Pam/Pang was friendly, informative and so kind. We really appreciated her taking so much time answer all our questions and guiding us through the terrain at our pace. Our home stay did not have a/c. Although there was a fan we could not endure the heat so we walked across the street and booked a hotel. We had a lovely visit and would recommend this tour.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning. Picked up at my hotel and taken on the back of a scooter to the office where I met the group and we got our bikes. We then cycled off out of the city and into the countryside stopping at various points. Guides were friendly and helpful and the staff blocked all the major junctions so we always felt very safe. Nice included pho ga lunch at the end! All in all would definitely recommend this trip!

This is an amazing tour, a great way to see Hanoi. It shows all the best bits with wonderful local knowledge. We had Tu as our guide and I can’t recommend him enough, he was so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and made us feel welcome. Special mention also to the driver Mr V (ex military) who always found parking spots nearby and managed to negotiate the chaotic traffic in Hanoi City. If you only do one tour in Hanoi then do this one, as it was memorable, educational and fun to spend time with Tu

This was such an amazing tour. The only thing I would have changed is spending 2 nights on the cruise instead of 1. The full day sightseeing on your way to Ninh Binh was awesome. You never felt rushed, but you were never board. The hike up The Lying Dragon Mt was a little difficult but well worth it. Boating thru the caves was awesome. LAN Ha Bay was so serene. We could not get enough of that view. The food and the help were amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour.

From the moment we were picked up in a luxury bus (with seats like business class plane) to getting on the boat, we were treated so well by our wonderful guide, Jake. The whole day was so well planned, with 3 fabulous stops on the cruise to explore beaches and caves. It was a busy day, with many crowds from multiple other cruise ships, but it did not impact on our day as we all really enjoyed ourselves. The food is quite nice, with a surprise sunset party on the roof while sailing home. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a special day out in Ha Long bay.

Ideal trip for someone low on time but yet wanting to catch the best of halong bay. Every moment is fun filled and full of picturesque views. For the kayaking/ Bamboo boat part, I would recommend kayaking if no kids else the bamboo boat is after. Gets crowded. I would recommend carrying about 500000 VND in cash. A cpl 100k more if you want to tip well. Our guide Binh did an excellent job of managing the tour and explaining what was about to come. His fluency in English helped immensely.

Our guide, Son or Sonny, was the best guide! He communicated in advance about where to meet, suggested items to bring such as sunscreen or whatever was needed depending on the weather. His instructions were clear, easy to follow and presented in a calm, welcoming manner. Sonny's main concern is for everyone to feel comfortable and to enjoy this Halong Bay experience without being forced or pushy. We cruised in a nice, clean boat in the bay. They welcomed us with tea and a small snack. For our first stop, we visited an oyster/pearl farm in the bay. This wasn't on the original itinerary, but Sonny asked if it was alright to go there. The tour wwas nicely done. Next, we went to Sung Sot (Surprise Cave), which Sonny led us through their at a comfortable pace for the whole group. After that, we had a delicious vietnamese lunch on the boat with more food than we could eat! Next, some of us went on an optional speed boat ride (extra cost $12) to see more geological rock formations. After that, we could either kayak or ride in a bamboo boat that was rowed vietnamese style through Luon Cave into an enclosed lake, surrounded by rock formations, beautiful greenery and monkeys! It was crazy packed with people in boats, yet great fun!! The fun continued as we went to Titop Island and climbed up to the "tip top" for incredible views of Halong Bay! People had the option to climb to the top or partway, buy a refreshment, or rest at the beach. Once again, it was pretty crowded, but fun. It was amazing the way the boats, both large and small, moved into park and/or leave. No one ever became upset as the boats "bumped" into each other, side-by-side. Our final sail by was of the "Kissing Chickens" with the sun setting. Sonny definitely sets the tone for a wonderful experience on Halong Bay and would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!
