Brian was our guide along with his support staff for our Hanoi bike tour. He arranged for his support staff to pick us up by car at our hotel to take us to our lunch spot. We were treated to a delicious meal of Bun Cha. We then met Brian and he drove us to the countryside to pick up our bikes. We rode our bikes with Brian on roads that were not busy. He took us to meet an elderly Vietnamese gentleman who invited us to have tea at his home. We had a nice conversation learning about his life and his home and garden which were filled with bonsai plants. We also visited a group of ladies who made brooms by hand. It was an interesting tour of the countryside and rice fields. Brian was a very attentive host and he spoke English very well. We would recommend this tour to anyone. You don’t have to be an experienced rider. These guys were very helpful.

Interesting cultural experience outside the city. It was a hot day and our guide and helpers really took care of us. The bike ride is long, but at a good pace on mostly flat ground.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning. Picked up at my hotel and taken on the back of a scooter to the office where I met the group and we got our bikes. We then cycled off out of the city and into the countryside stopping at various points. Guides were friendly and helpful and the staff blocked all the major junctions so we always felt very safe. Nice included pho ga lunch at the end! All in all would definitely recommend this trip!

A lot of time spent actually biking with periodic stops, not terribly strenuous, but take this into consideration as compared with your expectations. The guides were excellent, one on a bike and two or three on scooters to ensure our safety

Brian met us at our hotel and took us to have lunch and pick up the bikes. A really interesting well paced tour, to paddy fields and villages, where we talked with some Vietnamese people. We were returned to the hotel on time. Brian was a brilliant tour leader, answering all questions and taking great care of us. Highly recommend!

We were initially worried about cycling in and around Hanoi given it’s our first time here and the busy traffic, but our fears were quickly put to rest.
Our guide Brian was very confident, friendly and led us from the front, as we were also accompanied by another friendly gentleman on a scooter who acted as an escort (much appreciated and made us feel very secure on the chaotic streets)
They made the journey out of the city seem like a breeze, with regular check ins along the way.
The countryside part of the tour was terrific, stopping by old villages, farms and gardens.
Brian was very knowledgeable and engaging in each of the prepared stops, and even allowed us to meet an older gentleman of a traditional house who had some great stories of past life in Vietnam!
After the journey, we were escorted by scooter to a local restaurant back in Hanoi for a delicious lunch.
In summary, an awesome experience with two excellent and friendly guides; well worth the price.

More than a bike ride you will have an opportunity to meet interesting Hanoi residents. We met workers in a broom factory and watched them assemble brooms made with dried grains from the rice fields, rode by rice fields followed by resting with coffee and coconut juice in a lovely neighborhood water lily garden.
But the highlight was that we were invited to share tea in the home of a former Vietnamese soldier and retired teacher, who generously welcomed us into his home and gave us a tour of his beautiful bonsai tree garden. . It was a deeply personal and memorable experience. Our guide Brian was terrific!

This was a very impressive tour. Just the logistics alone of cycling in Hanoi would be enough to scare anyone away. However we were escorted by 3 motor scooters who blocked traffic and let us cross highways and roads safely. That was so cool in itself. This tour was incredible! We went across bridges, into the countryside, visited a temple, a bonsai garden, and even took our bikes on a ferry across the red river. I highly reccomend this to any cyclist.

My sister’s last day in Hanoi so we decided on a half day cycling tour before we embark on our own travel journey in Vietnam.
Cycling in Hanoi City is not for the faint hearted, but the tour guide made us feel very safe navigating through crazy peak hour traffic, amongst buses, cars and motorbikes. Once away from the city, it was a relaxing ride along the banks of the Red River, cross the Long Bien Bridge, past local markets on narrow streets, and through picturesque rural countryside. The weather in Hanoi is extremely hot and humid at the moment.
We were expecting to cycle with other tourists but was extremely surprised to learn that there were only two of us for tour. It works out well in the end but it would be nice to know this information before hand.

We highly recommend! A truly local experience that let us experience riding on a main busy road, through rice fields, small residence villages and alleys. This experience was so well organized and the day went by smoothly. We had one guide leading us on a bicycle and two other support guides on motorbikes. The motorbike guides helped us to cross intersections safely as well as protecting us from other vehicles - a pleasant safety surprise! We were picked up at the Opera House and given rides on the back of motorbikes to the bike shop area - yay, no cars or vans used. The bikes had gears and brakes that worked well. We loved biking over the Long Bien bridge - such a unique experience. We stopped at a local broom making house - loved watching the locals create as well as learning about the different types of materials. Then we rode through rice fields and walked a little out on a rice field path. We stopped to get a coffee or juice and enjoyed wandering among the water lily ponds. We did not have time to go to both the citadel and the bonsai home, so we chose to visit bonsai. The bonsai gentleman was funny and informative. On the way back to city we used a very local ferry to cross the Duong River - really enjoyed that experience. We were taken to a very local bun cha restaurant for lunch - the food was delicious and the company was local. We did not stop at a wet market nor did we taste local fruits. We also did not stop at a place to taste egg coffee. Go with an open mind and be flexible - even though our experience didn't match the description exactly, we had an amazing adventure!

Brian was a great tour guide from start to finish. He communicates very well and accommodates any plans or hiccups that can occur. I was the only one who booked for the day so I got to know him better and learn about life in Vietnam firsthand from him. I gained great insight, knowledge, deeper underatanding and appreciation for Ha Noi and Vietnam in general. Half of my family was born and raised in Vietnam so it was a great experience. Not to mention the safety I felt riding on the streets and in the city with Brian was reassuring. Brian is definitely a great tour guide and an even better person! I highly recommend this. Even if you are out of shape(I'm not), you can be accommodated. There are plenty of breaks in between places, and if you need a break, you can just let Brian know. Great fun. It starts with lunch and then you cycle out of the city to the outskirts. The guides are very good at chaperoning you through the traffic as you exit and return to the city. The bikes were very good (best we have ever had as loaners by far) and the tour guide was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great way to see parts of regional Vietnam. Riding is pretty flat, but you would want to be an experienced cyclist as some is narrow and rocky. We asked for vegan food and were taken to a fantastic vegan buffet.

Brian and his team were wonderful! Our favourite part was a visit with a local family home located in a village outside the city, in between the rice fields. Brian translated this gentlemen's story for us, as he told us all about his family tree and love for his bonsai trees over a cup of freshly brewed green tea and some biscuits. The lunch at the end of the tour was by far the best dish we've had in Vietnam so far!

What great way to explore out side the City of Hanoi , a bike ride. It's was fun from start to finish. We got taken to the meeting point by motor bike through the busy street of Hanoi. We loved this trip. Fantastic to get out of the city. Pick up was spot on time and we loved the scooter ride to travel to the cycle shop. The visit to a local home, meeting the family and hearing about their history and seeing their lovely house, was just one of the highlights, however there were many including the Pagoda visit and sugar cane drinks.
Perry was knowledgeable and friendly, also speaking good English.
The lunch stop was great. Local restaurant, full of local workers and great food.
Be aware this can become very hot and sometimes you are cycling in very busy areas. Would definitely recommend the morning trip to miss the highest temperatures.

Chris our guide was fantastic. Very caring and helpful. We are 76 and 75 years old and I quite small so he helped me on and off my bike.
The tour was brilliant and the broom shop and the highlight was the visit to an elderly couple whose interest was bonsai with the most amazing specimens on display

The tour company was helpful in answering questions prior to our meeting. We chose the 8am ride so it won't be as hot as the afternoon one. Hoa, our guide, and the team were prompt in picking us up at our hotel. Due to the unexpected rain, they prepared ponchos for the ride. They prepared a staff for each rider. The group rode scooters and ensured our safety during the ride. We rode about 9.5 miles with a few stops along the way.
I'd recommend this tour. It was a fun activity to kickstart our visit to Hanoi. We started in the city and ended up in the countryside. We opted to take the scooters back. Grateful for that option. The tour ended with our choice of lunch so the team brought us there. Fun activity to get a glimpse of Hanoi.
