Our guide Nathan did an amazing job! He took us to 6 different restaurants in Hanoi Old Quarter. All of the places were delicious! Our group really enjoyed all the different kinds of food. I highly recommend this tour with Nathan!

Tai ( Tim ) is an exceptional guide — friendly, honest, and truly thoughtful. He always has his customers’ best interests in mind. I really appreciated how he took me to local spots where the residents actually eat, rather than the usual tourist places. It made the experience feel genuine and memorable. Worth it. You won't be hungry at the end of the tour. Our guide Ha was fantastic! She took us to 6 places and we would go back to 4 of them.

Our guide Lam was excellent. Great guide to the old quarter stopping at various food places. Absolutely delicious and varied food. Never spending too long anywhere and never walking too much between places. Was great with my kids making sure they crossed the busy roads safely and teaching them to use chopsticks. He got them to try good they normally would never try. The kids loved him.

Tasty Vietnamese food in vibrant Hanoi at night! Right from the start, we were warmly welcomed and shown around the buzzing streets of Old Hanoi. It felt more like hanging out with a friend than a regular tour. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience during the food tour in Hanoi led by Anna. From the start, we were wonderfully taken care of and guided through the bustling streets of old Hanoi. Anna's knowledge and passion for the local cuisine were clearly evident.We began our culinary journey with bún chả and continued with other delicious dishes like bánh cuốn. In total, we tasted seven delightful dishes, each with a unique flavor and story. Anna shared fascinating stories and insights about Vietnamese food culture, which made our experience even more special.We would highly recommend this food tour to anyone visiting Hanoi. Our guide Yen took us to a great variety of street food vendors to suit our needs (easier as there were only two of us booked on the tour). She answered all our questions and helped us understand the street food scene, manners, etiquette etc. She also sent us a huge list of recommended places to eat for our stay in Hanoi. She was so informative and as a local, her English was superb. Book the tour, you won't be disappointed!

It was truly a brilliant tour filled with tasting delicious local food, and learning about local history. Ha, our guide was AMAZING! She was very knowledgable and kept checking with us what we’d like to try next or what flavour profiles we like! She also added one stop to the tour after we said we’d like to try it. My favourites were Banh Xeo, Bun Cha, and Banh Cuon Nuong! She also gave us recommendations of where to try what by ourselves. Local history about the streets, the city, people, and various buildings were also explained brilliantly. Loved it and will definitely come back for this!

I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a good taste of Vietnamese cuisine. We went to five restaurants before going to a cafe for egg coffee. Everything was delicious, and it was hard to choose a favorite. Our guide, Ha, was really knowledgeable and personalable. If you are thinking about it, I say do it! And come hungry! (It's a lot of food! By our third stop we were struggling because we had snacks before leaving--a mistake.)

I am so glad we did this our first day in Hanoi. It introduced us to new cuisine so we knew where to return as well as helped us get oriented around the old quarter. We were a lot more comfortable getting around the city after this tour. The restaurants selected have flavorful options with condiments so you can increase flavor or spice. We tried some other restaurants after this tour but they did not provide the additional spices and condiments that made this food tour exceptional.
Ha is a superb, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient guide. We actually went on the wrong tour and she patiently waited for us to return to our hotel. Ha asked for honest feedback on how to improve the tour-pacing yourself at the first two places and maybe not eating everything is the only suggestion I have.
I highly recommend this tour as a great introduction to the food and the city while spending time with a wonderful and knowledgeable guide!

My group had an excellent night with Ha. She's so knowledgable, kind, and easy to talk to. She was prompt for pick up, went over dietary restrictions/allergies/what we already ate and anything in particular that we wanted to try. She navigated confidently (you'll have no problem crossing the busy roads with her leading the way) and picked excellent spots, many of which were smaller restaurants with many locals eating that we would've never spotted ourselves. She gave us a pre-warning about the fact it would be drizzling out and even had a spare umbrella in case we needed it. She taught us the history behind the dishes, showed us how to eat them all, and taught us how to cheers our beers in Vietnamese. It was clear Ha had great relationships with many of the restaurants and was even able to help out clearing up tables so our group could be seated comfortably. Our group loved the banh xeo with egg, shrimp, and squid the most and a mango sticky rice ice cream was the perfect way to end the night. Ha even offered for us to try some boiled chicken foot as she asked about our backgrounds and learned some of us are Jamaican. We were happily stuffed and it all sat well with our foreign stomachs. We would highly recommend Ha as your guide through Hanoi street food!

Ha was a great guide! I have learned a lot about Hanoi but especially about the (street) food and the restaurants. We had fantastic food and I met some very nice other guests. I surely recommend this tour.

We visited seven different places which was modified slightly after meeting the tour guide named Ha. She can customize based upon previous experiences or interests. There are so many places to eat it is difficult to decide on your own so really helps to know where to go and explain what you are eating and also answer non-food related questions about Vietnam.

Great guide and great fun. The tour ended up lasting an hour.longer than planned, as some of the stops were.very.busy (for a good reason--delocious.food). She remained cheerful and we felt lucky to have her as our guide.

The guide was very punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable about Hanoi’s history. We went to 7 different places, ranging from food stalls to a living room the owner made into a Pho soup restaurant! We would never have been able to experience this by ourselves, so I can’t recommend this enough! 👍🏻

After taking multiple food tours in Ho Chi Minh, I was a bit worried we’d be trying the same foods. However, we let our tour guide know what we’d tried, and she made sure we tried foods unique to Hanoi/Northern Vietnam (and also some truly amazing Banh Mi that I’ll forever think about!) We also got to spend some time walking the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Unfortunately, we did have an allergy issue that made for a miserable experience with someone in our party. Our tour guide DID tell the first restaurant, as they prepared a separate “no peanuts” dish, but we still ended up with an allergic reaction. I’m not sure what she could have done differently, but it definitely had an adverse effect on the one person in our group, who was sick for the rest of the tour.
Also, we only received the “backstory” on about 3 of the 5 dishes we tried. I was expecting to try a few more dishes, but we all were full after 5.

I have booked this tour because I was not sure which street food in Hanoi is safe. Ended up in 1 to 1 tour with female guide Linh. She was very nice. After we went through all the stops she also took me to one iconic beer place and recommended me good place for back massage! :- All the food we tasted was yummy and no worries, thus it is street-made food, it is clean.
