Definitely recommend this trip short sweet, but also very informative. Perfect if you are trying to get acclimated quickly.

Luis was a very knowledgeable guide, we really enjoyed the trip! We loved seeing the animal sanctuary and feeding the llamas, as well as the archeological sights. We did it on our first full day in Cusco and we didn't have issues with the altitude.

Sorry that we have forgotten the name but our guide is simply amazing - born and raised in Cusco, able to share many local happenings and culture, like Sunday markets and red flagged family bars, ensuring us not missing any taste of the region.
Our team is small in only 4 pax incl us, and easy to communicate so we can reach decision like skipping lunch stop for earlier arrival to train station and skipping jewellery shop in mutual respect way (good tour-mates we have). Pick up is smooth at our hotel door. We learnt so much along the way from our guide - languages of Quechua, historical culture and changes, all plants and nature that helps Inca to survive in old time. The guide also helpful to bring us to train station, make sure we know what to do to be on board and not missed. (4 of us all stopped the tour at Ollantaytambo).
Happy with what we have:) and thanks again for the arrangement. It has been one of the most rewarding tour we have.

Visit to Ollantaytambo was wonderful. The Inca fortress on top of the hill requiring a strenuous climb was an excellent break from riding in the van.

What an incredible experience to round up the Cuzco tour! Our tour guide was very patient, kind, and educated! We had a great group of tourists from the U.S., India, Puerto Rico and myself (Armenia). Everyone jived so well together; and we had a fantastic tour guide who made the experience of this beautiful tour unforgettable. Everything was amazing, from start to finish - in fact, my flight got significantly delayed, but the company manager, Fredi from the tour company worked with me to get a taxi to the airport, pick me up and take me to the site directly so I could still make it to most of the sites! What a kind human being, and a lovely company to go out of their way for that. While I missed the mummies and feeding the alpacas, I still made it to the gorgeous Sacred Valley site, and the rest of the tour was an absolute gem! Highly recommend :)

The visit to the alpaca, llama, and other sanctuary. Didn’t actually go into “a”Sacred Valley, but was taught about why the area was called Sacred Valley. Loved the jewelry store and loved the ruins. Albeit, it was a tough climb up to the top, the view was amazing.

Luise is a philosoher and a poet. He encouraged us when the going got tough(thin air) and helped us fall in love with Peruvian culture. Restaurant for lunch was impressive!

Fabricio was a great guide and this was an incredible experience! We learned so much - he focused a lot on education. The natural beauty and Incan ruins were amazing!

Our family of four from Australia (husband, wife, and two daughters, 13 and 11) recently took a day trip to the Sacred Valley, starting with a punctual hotel pickup. The inclusion of an animal rescue stop was a highlight, especially for our daughters who thoroughly enjoyed the animal interactions. The weaving demonstration was fascinating, though the subsequent shop visit wasn’t in line with our day's plan, preferring experiences over shopping.
The tour guide, Luis, was informative and made our visit to Pisac quite engaging. However, the tour also included a silver jewelry manufacturing demonstration, which, while interesting, was another deviation from our expectation of focusing more on historical and cultural insights rather than commercial stops.
Lunch at Urubamba posed a challenge. The restaurant, not being close to other, more affordable options, left us with limited choices. We hadn’t opted for the buffet lunch to save costs (60 sol per adult and 45 sol per child), but managed to negotiate ordering a la carte meals to share, thanks to our guide’s assistance.
The visit to the Ollantaytambo site was impressive and a highlight of the tour, justifying its inclusion in our itinerary. However, our experience ended there, as we did not proceed to Machu Picchu like some other travellers.
A significant concern arose when we left a couple of items on the bus due to a hasty departure amidst Carnival-induced traffic jams in Cusco. Despite our guide's early warnings about leaving belongings behind, we accidentally left a hat and a jumper. Contacting the tour company, Fredi, resulted in the recovery of the hat but not the jumper, despite repeated inquiries and assurances of checks. Our attempts to recover these items were met with initial responsiveness that faded, leaving us without a resolution or the ability to collect the found hat before our departure.
In summary, while the day trip offered memorable experiences and valuable cultural insights, it was marred by an emphasis on shopping and a disappointing post-tour customer service regarding lost belongings. For future travellers, this tour offers a mix of impressive sights and experiences but be prepared for commercial stops and ensure personal belongings are secure.

Good morning Chris,
Thaank you for your time and leaving your feed back, let me clarify somepoints of your complain .
According the stated itinerary we visited all places as you mention
1.- The rescue center to see son Llamas, alpacas which most people likes as you mention as well. this place as you noted belong to a community and this support many families and they are allow to sell their handmade products in on the rooms in this rescue center. Our guide always provide the information which is not mandatory to purchase, so you can opt to stay longer in the area picturing the aminlas and the ones who wants to help and support the pnace can enter in the store and purchase.
2.- In pisac according the itinerary we visit pisac inca site and the market. after the guided tour in the inca site of pisac our guide remark free time in the market or if you would like to learn about pottery and slved hand made as pisac town is know as artisan.
3.- regarding Lunch point, we look for safe and quality to care your health specially as most poeple visit next day Machupicchu. the average rate for buffet lunch in the sacred valley is US$ 16. By the way, the resevaturants in the valley are not located together most of them 5 to 7 minutes away from each other.
4.- Again our itinerary states that we end the tour at ollantaytambo as most people goes to Machupicchu and we return after one hour to Cusco where ends the experience for people does not continue the journey to Machupicchu.
As we informed you we look at the car for your items but we found only one which we returned you. The other item was not found on the car.
I am sorry but this time I am not agree with your pint of view where mentions that we are focusing on shopping. actually first we always visit all offered places even more than others always in small groups and that they you were only 8 people.
Important: Peru, specially Cusco is a tourist city and most of towns work with tourism and places like the rescue center and the pottery in picas is a comunity work we try to help and support them and our guides alwus ask if wanto enter if not they frovise few minutes free to continue the triup we never force anyone to shop or enter in this 2 places which actually are stated in the itinerary.
Thank you again for your time, we definetly foccus in your recomendations like offer more restaurants for lunch.
Best regards
Jorge

Super well organised and efficient. Great communication throughout.
The guides were excellent - very knowledgeable about Quechua history, architecture, philosophy, maths, traditions etc which they told to us in interesting stories.

Our guide Louis was excellent, his knowledge on the history of the Inca runs deep and he gave us a lot more than just the run-of-the-mill speech when we visited the ruins in Ollantaytambo.

Please save your money and avoid the VIP package and go with the basic package. The VIP package is overpriced and only includes lunch and a 2-day ticket that includes entrance to multiple places but the tour ONLY takes you to Ollantaytambo. Lunch is a buffet which was equivalent to $15 USD and the entrance ticket was $17 USD. That's $32 USD total. That plus the $35 for the basic ticket, is $67. In other words, you're better off buying the basic ticket and paying for lunch and the entrance out of pocket. However, The company must have an agreement with certain shops because the ones we stopped at were outrageously expensive (like several thousands soles) for alpalca clothing. The jewelry place that we stopped at was a waste of time and the prices were also crazy high (higher than in the US for like items). I was on a tour with another guy and we both were appalled by the prices...it almost felt like they were trying to take advantage of the fact that we were foreigners. I'm all for haggling but these prices were just ridiculous.
The tour itself was ok and Ollantaytambo is beautiful! However, we had to ask the driver to stop so that we could take photos, as the bus just drove by all the nice viewpoints. I would have much rather had more time to take in the views than spending time in over-priced shops.

Hi Eledria,
Thank you for taking a time to leave us your value feedback, that day in particular the group including yourself was only 2 people so we provided a private guided tour with one of our top guides Gary and one of our best drivers Juan in a minivan (capacity for 12 people Hyndai brand). Our operations starts in Cusco at 7:30am having multiple stops like the rescue center so see Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas, Moray the famous view point of the Sacred Valey in Pisac we can visit a local jewelry store but is only optional where our guieds always ask if someone wants to stop there (that day were only you and one more person), then we Visit Pisac and on the way to Ollantaytambo we stop at urubamba for Lunch here again our guides provide the options for lunh and specially when the groups are small (1 or 2 people9 they opt not stop at the buffet instead we go straight to Aguas Ollantaytambo for the guided tour in this towm small goups (1 to 1 people) opt to have lunch.
Our company and guides are very flexible to stop or skip places up to our guest request.
We feel bad that our efforts i providing even a private tour for 2 people couldnt cover your expectations, your feedback will definetely help us to keep inproving and remark to ask about stops.
Best regards
Fredi

Guide Bernardo was exceptional and provided a lot of historical background information about the Incas and their civilisation
Vince_R, Aug 2022
Our tour guide Michael was a wealth of information and advocate for the Inca culture and Peruvian people. I can't say enough good things. He could answer every question asked of him, and was a great person to have lead our tour. In addition, one of the stops is on that 130 soles ticket which you can get on the Avenida del Sol tourism office. (otherwise, you'll pay 70 for entrance) It was just a great time. Not rushed, and a great time.

Excellent day. Gary was our tour guide. He gave us good background information about the Inca civilization and navigated us through the sacred valley. Additionally it was great that he was able to drop us at the Ollytatambo station to save us time!
Robert_L, May 2022
Our tour guide Gary was fantastic. He possessed a wealth of knowledge regarding Peru and the Sacred Valley in particular. In addition to his knowledge was his enthusiasm when talking about the area. He was fantastic!!!
Both he and the driver (Joseph) were a pleasure to spend the day with!!!!

There’s not much more to be said about the Sacred Valley. I’m sure you’ve already heard all about its formidable peaks, its awe-inspiring monuments, and its generous and amicable people.
This review is not about that. Instead, I ask you to lend your attention to me for a brief moment so I can tell you about a man named Gary. Gary was our trusted guide for the day, but to call him just a guide would be an injustice. From the very first fist bump, Gary set a new standard for tour leaders around the world. His speech was engaging, his mannerisms gentle and warm, his wealth of knowledge deeper than the valleys of Machu Picchu. His passion for the Incas and love for his ancestors permeated everything he said and did, and as he spoke we could very nearly see the Inca civilization come back to life once again in the ruins around us. As a guide, Gary was personal to the extreme, addressing each of us by name and responding to our every need and question, however idiosyncratic they may have been. He was not in the slightest a disciple of the school of rigid schedules and regulations that so many other guides fall prey to. Instead, he was flexibility itself, tailoring our itinerary to our interests and allowing us to define our own routes and time allocation. He showed us sights most other tourists will never even hear about and challenged us with subjects that other guides wouldn’t even dare broach. At every site, he took wonderful photos of us that exuded a refined artistry. When we ran out of Soles (Peruvian currency) for tickets, he showed no hesitation whatsoever in offering us his own hard-earned money, without any mention of having us pay him back. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about this wise, nurturing, and wholesome soul.
Gary deserves the best in his industry, in life, in everything. He is simply who we should all strive to be, despite the fact that we will all inevitably fail.

The tour guide Flor and the driver Roman made the trip a pleasure. Sacred Valley was beautiful. Flor was giving us lot of details and we shared our knowledge as well which she was very receptive too. Great climb at Pisaq. Roman was great at maneuvering the steep, narrow roads with numerous curves. More challenge at Ollantaytambo but we were not leaving it though we were tired by then and it was drizzling as well. Made for an exhausting day but it was wonderful.

Very nice experience with Michael Flores from Machu Picchu Latin Travel. I highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this incredible tour. Visits to ancient INCA sites and a busy market, as well as a silver merchant company. Well worth the money - a full day.

very good tour - responsive tour guide and tour coordinator. highly recommended
Cheda_M, Jul 2016
This was a great tour. The admission to the sites was not included and we didn't find that out until we got on the bus, but it's easy enough to buy on the way 50 US, but it has to be in Peruvian Sols. Our guide was highly knowledgable and enthusiastic. He worked really hard to get us on a schedule that had us ahead of all the huge tourist rushes and ending with an incredible sunset atop the immense ruins and quaint town of our last stop. The tour was quite multicultural. Although in English, the 2 of us were the only US citizens. This added one extra wonderful flare to the experience.
