What are people saying about Cusco

I recommend doing it all!
The multi -colored streaks in the Rainbow Mountain were unlike anything I had seen before, and the vast, red landscape of the Red Valley is worth visiting. The breakfast and lunches included in the tour were delicious and satisfying, and I appreciated the friendly and professional nature of our tour guide and driver. Although the hike is a challenge, I found it to be a little bit easier than the trek to Lake Humantay.

Great views all the way to the top
This tour was great. We had the perfect weather and the mountain was amazing! The colours and views were breathtaking. We continued to red valley and it was worth it. A little challenging but so rewarding. If it’s a cloudy day maybe the colours on Rainbow Mountain don’t stand out as much but we had full sun and no clouds and I found the colours stood out more than I expected. Very satisfied. Definitely recommend.

We had a great experience...
We had a great experience with Apu Asangate Trek during our visit to Cusco. The tour was well organized, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.
Our tour guide, Felipe, was excellent. He shared fascinating information about the Quechua community and culture, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He also guided our group through Moray and the Maras Salt Mines, providing interesting historical and cultural insights at each location.
We appreciate the company's organization and professionalism and would highly recommend Apu Asangate Trek to anyone planning a trip to Cusco. They helped make our visit a memorable one.

Amazing experience
Amazing experience for us! The communication with tour operator was easy, they sent us all information about pick up time and our guide. The tour was great, we visited amazing places. The guide took care about us carefully, he told us many interesting information about the places and he organised everything smoothly. We had comfortable car and because we were a small group - only 6 people, we enjoyed all places a lot. The lunch was perfect too!!! We really recommend this tour.

Recommended!
The tour is very well organized and makes life easier, if you want to spend some money so you don’t have to plan everything out yourself and still see all the highlights in a short amount of time, then this is absolutely something you should do!
A couple things i have to mention are:
The buffet lunch we went to is not the fancy buffet place that’s mentioned in the itinerary. The food was good but not what we expected.
Secondly, i don’t think the expensive train is worth it… you get less leg room, the windows are literally the same as the cheaper train option. And the only difference is a snack box and the music/entertainment cart (which was fun for the experience but not a necessity if you don’t want to spend too much money)
Last, the 4* hotel el mapi by inkaterra was an extreme let down. They didn’t get our room right, there was no soap, no towels, service was slow. The food was fine at best. Wifi was really slow. The phone didn’t work so couldn’t call front desk.
But if we are talking about the experience, we saw all the highlights and got to do everything we wanted. Highlights, pictures and transportation all very good. Guide also good.

Recommend!
This was an unforgettable trip! The guides were dependable and knowledgeable! There were some unforeseen circumstances that made the trip longer than I was expecting but it was no fault of the company. They were flexible and figured a way out for us with the train delay and the new government regulations. The Machu Picchu ruins are worth it. Highly recommend this company.

Amazing Guides, Incredible Views, and a Perfectly Organized Tour
This tour was absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru! We chose the 6:30 AM ATV tour and our pickup was around 6, and everything was extremely well organized from start to finish.
A huge thank you to our guides, Rojelio and Yadira, and our driver/ATV guide, Arturo. They truly made the experience unforgettable.
Rojelio brought such great energy to the group from the moment we were picked up. He was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, and he kept everyone engaged throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely cared that everyone was having a great experience, and his positive attitude made the tour even more enjoyable.
A special thank you to Yadira, who went above and beyond for my mom. She was nervous about the altitude, and Yadira stayed with her, checked on her throughout the hike, reassured her, and made sure she was comfortable the entire time. The guides also carried oxygen, which gave everyone extra peace of mind. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care allowed my mom to enjoy the experience.
The guides safely guided us on the ATVs, explained everything clearly, and made everyone feel comfortable riding, even those with little or no ATV experience.
The day started with hotel pickup, followed by breakfast at a beautiful restaurant with stunning mountain views, clean restrooms, and plenty of vegetarian options. After breakfast, we learned how to ride the ATVs before heading up the mountain.
The ATV ride itself was incredible and is definitely the best way to experience Rainbow Mountain. At the end of the ATV route, local motorcycle drivers take you the final section up the mountain. From there, you can either take a very easy 5-minute flat walk or about a 10-minute uphill walk to the main viewpoint.
After visiting Rainbow Mountain, we rode the ATVs to an amazing Andes viewpoint where we learned more about the surrounding mountain range and local history. We then returned to the restaurant for a delicious lunch before heading back to Cusco.
Everything was extremely well organized, the scenery was breathtaking, and the entire staff genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I would recommend this tour 100% to anyone visiting Rainbow Mountain. The ATV option makes the experience much more enjoyable while still allowing you to take in all of the incredible views.
If you're trying to decide how to visit Rainbow Mountain, this is absolutely the way to do it!

wonderful experience !!
Our tour guide Alex is absolutely fantastic. He’s super kind and patient, and he took our health very seriously. In the beginning, he let us try some local bread of Cusco and even gave us snack bags, which came in handy and is incredibly generous. During the hike, he was very caring to my family, especially towards my daughter. He let her use the oxygen mask, gave her a coca leaf, and even helped her walk down from the peak. He took the hike at my family’s pace and never rushed us. When we got down from the mountain, the driver, also named Alex, had already prepared for us hot towels, and Alex, the tour guide, even asked us if we wanted any tea or other drinks and for a stool ready for us to get in the van easier. The restaurant was also amazing and incredibly clean. The food is of amazing quality and delicious. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend these two gentlemen.

Amazing team and Samuel is the best tour guide
Samuel was an amazing tour guide. Pick up was stated to meet at 6:15 at the plaza de armas but per there request we arrived at 6:10z they arrived at 6:20 and a gentleman came to the middle of the square and called our name. We were escorted to a private van. The van was comfortable. We enjoyed all the archeological sites. Perfect way to see many ruins in one day, lunch was at a gorgeous restaurant and we enjoyed the corner outside table.

Sacred Valley Trip
The trip started at 7:45 with a pickup from our hotel. Went to Pisco to see the Incan site, then went into the town of Pisco to shop. Continued on to Urubomba for a teriffic lunch. Not the standard roadside food, but real kicking great culinary experience. Then went Ollantaytambo to drop off a few of our group at train station and continued to the ruins near train station. Loaded up for return to Cusco, but wait…..one more stop at a really cool textile factory. Got back to hotel around 7:15p. It was a great day. Thank you Clara and our fantastic bus driver.

Amazing and complete experience
This was an amazing tour. Rogelio was our guide. He is local and very knowledgable. We skipped all the difficult hiking and instead drove motorcycles to the highest point possible. Then, the little walk up to the top of the mointain was way more maneagable for us (living at sea level). Afterwards, we drove ATVs around the area were we watched alpaca and llama farming and Mountain Ausangante. It felt that this was much more of a complete experience than the hiking only tours. Also, the brakfast and lunch by locals was really good! Thank you so much for this experience!

Fantastic Machu Picchu Tour!
This was a fantastic tour from start to finish. In addition to visiting Machu Picchu, we made several cultural stops along the way, including an alpaca farm, jewelry workshop, and beautiful sites within the Sacred Valley, which made the experience feel much more immersive and complete. Our tour guide Fabrizio was excellent. He managed the group dynamics really well, kept everything organized and enjoyable, and was incredibly knowledgeable. He was able to answer every question and shared so much history and cultural context throughout the trip. He was also genuinely kind and personable, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience both Machu Picchu and the surrounding culture.
