What are people saying about Costa Rica

Incredible experience
Our tour guide, Alex was amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. He used his telescope to see a lot of the wild life. The experience of seeing a tiny frog on a leaf to seeing the sloths and the different monkey was mind blowing. We ended the tour at the Manuel Antonio beach inside the park. That was the perfect way to end my day. Make sure your water is on reusable bottles. No plastic bottles. Food, tobacco, vape aerosols, etc are allowed in the park. Read the message they send with the instructions.
I also suggest packing an umbrella and a bag to protect your backpack in case it rains (I went in July and it rained). Although, the rain is refreshing.

Saul was amazing. He...
Saul was amazing. He spotted mating dragonflies, camoflauged caterpillars, and so much more. We got some great pics of monkeys and sloths. We felt like we saw all of Costa Rican wildlife in one trip and got some amazing pics. Would highly recommend the tour. I would also recommend doing the earliest tour you can manage, because it does get hot and crowded as the day goes on.

Book it!
MIUST DO EXCURSION. If you are trying to decide on what to do while in the area. Pick this!!! Our favorite day in Costa Rica was visiting Isla Tortuga. Costa Cat made it an even more of an
amazing experience. We drove to the Marina, check-in was fast and easy.
Throughout the trip you get unlimited water, soft drinks, jungle juice, and margaritas. You can pay an additional fee to upgrade your drinks to more options. We aren’t big drinkers so we did not opt in to this option.
We docked at Isla Tortuga they had an area of lounge chairs and umbrellas reserved for us. We started off the day by taking a mini boat out to snorkel, they provided goggles, snorkels, flippers, and life vests. We saw a few fish nothing too crazy.
We ate lunch cooked by the team. Chicken, Rice, Beans, and Salad. The crew sang happy birthday to me and gave us Chiliguero shots 🫶🏼. Lots of food left over if anyone wanted seconds.
Later on we went out to ride the banana boat, they provided helmets and life jackets. Got thrown off several times.🤣
Eco Walking trail, had options of 15 minutes, 25 minutes, and 45 minutes. The trail begins off with very steep stairs so we stopped at the 15 minute mark. You still get an amazing view. We got to see howler monkeys super up close.
Lastly I just want to make a point of how the Captian and the crew were so attentive, never let you be with an empty drink, cleaned up our trash so quickly, overall super friendly, and just amazing service. We live in Vegas so our standard of service I would say is pretty high, but these guys did great. Can’t wait to come back again.
Pura Vida 🏝️🫶🏼

This tour was incredible,...
This tour was incredible, and we saw so much more than just sloths (although we saw plenty of those -- I think we saw about ten of them, including two or three babies, and we saw the faces of 6-8 of the sloths)! In addition to the (surprisingly active) sloths, we also saw a toucan, poison dart frogs, leaf cutter ants, a rufous motmot, a cool lizard, and a pair of crested guans, as well as some interesting insects. Our guide, Ivania, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and skilled at her job. She did a great job of spotting things, got great photos and video of the animals for us, was very generous with her time, and was super fun to talk to. The time with her flew by, and we had an absolute blast, so much so that we recommended this tour to multiple other people we met while in other locations on our Costa Rica trip (and now we are recommending it to you! :) ).

Highly recommend! 🙌
Book through your hotel concierge if possible. We screwed ours up by choosing wrong hotel for pickup. Despite that the operators worked with us and got us on another tour but ours was paid for and pre scheduled. Just want to be clear we didn’t just show up expecting a tour on demand. Very rocky terrain so might be challenging if you’ve never ATV’d before but totally safe. You are absolutely not doing anything too crazy so even if you’re new to ATV, do it! You’ll be fine. You will get a little dirty and one or two water crossings but that is the best part!! We appreciated the pineapple mid ride and the couple breaks we had from riding. The hike up to base of volcano is short but uphill so it will require some degree of cardiovascular fitness! Beautiful view if you get up there! Very nice people running the activity and safety conscious and mindful to keep the group together. All throughout the ride beautiful scenery to enjoy!

Great Start to our Honeymoon
This was our first excursion of our honeymoon and it really set the tone for a great time! Regardless of the rain, we had a fantastic time. The crew was fun, the food was amazing, and the excursion gave us everything we'd hoped for! We would definitely recommend booking during your stay!

Waterfall, Volcano, Bridges
You need to be in shape for this. First stop, beautiful waterful- 500 steps down, and then back up. Rest and get your heartrate down- then off to the volcano hike. Sergio was wonderful balancing the pace and keeping the fast ones, slow ones, and in between ones moving as a group up to the spectacular views from the lava rocks. The clouds cleared briefly (seconds) but we got to see the summit. Then off the hanging bridges- the park is not flat- the views are amazing but you need to earn them. Saw spider monkeys hopping in the canopy, a pair of toucans, a bright mottled yellow snake lying in wait for prey, and a cute little olingo hunting for food. Amazing, heart pumping experience.

Terrific and Knowledgeable Guide & Nice Guy Too!
Roy is a wonderful guide. His passion for nature and sharing his love of nature really shines through. He is very informative and takes his time to find and show us amazing birds. It made our walk through the Heat of the Forest so much more delightful. Highly recommend Roy as your next nature guide.

If I had to do again I would have done the private tour. Our guide Johnny was so knowledgeable and interactive. I really appreciated all his education. Going on a group delays and slows things down so toward the end i got to the point where u wanted to just go off on my own. Johnny was the highlight of our experience.

An extremely fun 18 zipline adventure.
These ziplines were amazing and fun! Emerson and Wagner were our primary zip line guides with 3 other supporting members to complete our experience! This experience requires that you be able navigate rocky and hilly trails to access the zip line areas. The equipment appeared to be in good working order and safety was stressed along the way. The waterfalls were amazing and we can only envision what it would be like during the rainy season. The trip from the caldera port was well organized and we were picked up by a taxi in the shuttle pickup and drop off area of the port.

Great for families, groups, couples, and solo!
Definitely worth the price. I booked this for two, then found out an hour before the departure time that my boyfriend cheated on me. I broke up with him and went on the boat tour as planned-- it was awesome all by myself! There were probably about 50 people on board, but it felt decently spacious. There are seating options on deck, but also inside if you want to stay out of the sun. We sailed pretty far out from Coco Beach to a smaller beach on a little island. This took about an hour and a half. Then we had the option of taking the dingy to shore or snorkeling. I snorkeled for a bit, but then hung out on the shore for the rest of the time. The open bar is fantastic, the staff were super personable and attentive always asking if they could get you a new beverage. We had a great meal as well!! I would definitely do this experience again as it was beautiful, relaxing, and stress-free; just what I needed.

ATV/Zip experience
The atv portion was great. I think I was fortunate in only having 4 people in the group. I saw a group of over 10 and it looked like a miserable conga line. The halfway point being a waterfall was a nice surprise.
The zip lining experience was also amazing. Even with it being my first time, the safety instructors gave me the confidence as if it was my hundredth time. 10/10 bonus points for it being a rainstorm prior to speed the wires up!
