Your day begins at Los Suenos Marina, where you’ll board a 55-foot (17-meter) catamaran. The boat’s multiple seating options means you can stay cool in an air-conditioned cabin or stretch out on the breezy deck to sunbathe. No need to eat before departure: A light breakfast is served during the scenic cruise to Tortuga Island.
The catamaran’s shallow draft means the crew can navigate right to the shore, so you can walk straight onto the beach. Enjoy the day on Tortuga Island at your own pace—hike, take a banana boat ride, or use provided snorkeling gear to explore the undersea world right off the beach.
Water, coffee, and soft drinks are served throughout the day, and you’ll have time to savor a provided lunch plus rum punch and margaritas. This tour concludes with a beautiful return cruise to the marina.

The Tortuga Island trip was great. We snorkeled, went on a Banana Boat, and did the island hike in the afternoon, and relaxed on the beach in between. They set up chairs and umbrellas for everyone, which was an added surprise, and the lunch and unlimited margaritas were delicious. We would definitely do this again!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Costa Cat on our excursion to Isla Tortuga. This was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip to Costa Rica.
From the very beginning, Costa Cat went above and beyond by accommodating us with hotel pickup from Jacó Beach, which made the day completely stress-free. As soon as we stepped on the boat, we were welcomed with delicious breakfast muffins, fresh fruit, and drinks. It was a perfect start to the day. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for the group, which made the ride enjoyable and not overcrowded.
Once we arrived at Isla Tortuga, the service only got better. The crew was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They were attentive without being overbearing. Wilbur and the entire crew were phenomenal and truly made the experience special. Their energy, professionalism, and hospitality stood out the entire day.
The activities included snorkeling and a banana boat ride, both of which were so much fun and well organized. And the lunch, wow. It was honestly one of the best meals we had in Costa Rica. The grilled chicken was incredible, and everything from the slaw to the potatoes and rice was absolutely on point.
Even on the ride back, the crew kept the experience fun and relaxing, ending our day and honestly our trip on the highest note.
One small note for future travelers, the included alcoholic drinks are delicious, but pace yourself. A few guests had a bit too much, and the boat ride back became a little rough for them.
If you’re looking for a full-day excursion, this is the one you need to book. Costa Cat delivers an exceptional experience from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend!

This was a wonderful day, from start to finish. Even before the tour,
my questions were responded to quickly and professionally.
The entire crew was top notch, taking care to learn people's names (and remember them through the day). And different crew members stopped regularly to ask if we needed anything to drink, or to take our empty cups so we didn't have to. (Which, as someone who studiously cleans up after, was a bonus.
The food was wonderful. The activities planned and available made for anything but 'just another day at the beach'.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Enjoy it!

It was a nice day overall and we got to try lots of things. I was a little bummed that each activity was around 20 minutes. Certainly not enough time to snorkel.

Only hiccup was with pickup. We opted to meet at listed pickup spot, but when we drove there, it was at the end of an alley with no parking. Luckily, we saw the Costa Cat van and the driver instructed us to drive back to our resort in Jaco and he'd pick us up. After that the rest of the day was smooth. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They really take care of you. The drinks and lunch provided were delicious. The island was perfect. We had an amazing time and enjoyed this experience. Highly recommend 😎

The crew took care of us from the moment we met them at the dock. Everything was taken care of -- and we never had to look for the crew , they came to us to ask if we wanted another drink or more food or to tell us it was time for the excursion to begin. We had so much fun snorkeling (the fish were unbelievable!!), ride on a banana boat, beautiful lunch and a wonderful hike-- would do this again !!

The tour company was very accommodating and has very friendly staff. Isla Tortuga was really serene and beautiful with clear water and lovely colors from thr horizon. The food and drinks were delicious. We were able to snorkel near a isolated rock and saw plenty of colorful fishes and the experience was amazing. They also offered banana boat ride, but be aware they would intentionally make the banana boat flip near a shallow beach at the end of the trip for people seeking some extra thrill. Thr ride back and forth on the catamaran was relaxing. The boat is clean and well kept. We had a wonderful day trip and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our tour was on 8 December 2025. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The crew was friendly, fun, and super professional—they made the whole trip feel VIP. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the whole day was organized beautifully.
We were actually running late, and they were kind enough to wait for us without making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. That alone deserves 5 stars!
Tortuga Island was stunning, the water was crystal clear, and the entire experience was unforgettable. We will definitely be booking with Costa Cat again. Highly recommend!

Great experience. We lucked out with perfect weather. The service provided by the entire crew was outstanding. Beach was decent, some rocks but still enjoyeable. The umbrellas and beach chairs were plentiful and in great shape. The food (local flair) and drinks were very good and planty of it. I would gladly do this one again, highly recommend.

Beautiful boat ride out to the island, amaizing crew, very accommodating. We saw turtles, whales, pigs, dolphins, peacocks regular & albino, iguanas and heard Howler Monkeys. Food was outstanding, use the sauce!! Snorkeling and banana boat is recommended

What a wonderful time. The ride from Jaco is a good time. We saw dolphins about a quarter of the way from our start. The island is so much fun the water is a little murky for snorkeling but the guys do their best to point out and get you up close to the wildlife. Food and drinks were great. Ruben, Cesar and Aaron are awesome. The whole crew made us feel like familia and took great care of us the whole time.

From the moment we got on the catamaran boat we were greeted by the crew and provided fresh fruit, coffee, water and a muffin. A smooth and enjoyable ride to the island. While on the island the services provided were nothing short of amazing including good drinks, an amazing lunch and sand volleyball. We will do this excursion again!

So fun and so worth it! Our flight got delayed overnight and we missed the day we booked and they let us go the next day instead. Crew was so attentive and fun to be around. Food and drinks were so good also. The activities were so fun as well. I could not recommend this more! Will definitely be back!!

This was an amazing trip. Worth every penny. We were relaxed and catered to all day long. You did not want for anything as the staff was so friendly and making sure everybody was having good time.. They learned her names quickly and would come by calling you by name to find out if we needed anything. Cannot recommend this enough as a mess due while here.!

Had the best time for my birthday weekend. Crew took care of us the whole time. Maggie was making sure we stayed hydrated or had a drink in our hands. Marc took some people out for snorkeling which I heard was amazing. Caesar was handing the bar and provided great food recommendations. Overall they took care of us the whole time. Ride to the island was beautiful and safe. Very clean boat. Lunch was also delicious and very filling. Fun crew 10/10 truly! If you want a fun, safe trip this one is worth the money!!

Tortuga Island is beautiful! The tour group has a reserved area, so you can leave your belongings on your beach chair and spend the day in the water without worries. Breakfast was a nice assortment of fruit and a muffin. Lunch was freshly grilled chicken, rice, potatoes, etc. It was all delicious, which isn’t always the case with group tours. Definitely bring shoes you can wear in the water. The beach is beautiful and the water is calm, but it’s rocky. Also, the hike is tougher than expected. Take some water with you and wear your hiking shoes. Also, the staff was amazing!!
