Despite only hearing but not seeing famed Quetzal, our guide Eleir gave us so much attention. He found millipedes, tarantulas, a fabulous stick bug, all things we would never have seen on our own. He was very knowledgeable and shared lots. Highlight were the spider monkeys swinging from the tree tops. Eleir got me a few slow mo videos and photos on my phone through his scope. To know: buy your private tour but then also buy your Monteverde Preserve entrance fee for the same trail and same time or you will not be let into the park. Got some true cloud action, sun, brief showers - the gamut.

Great tour!! We had an amazing guide and saw some great animals! The cloud forest tour was a beautiful walk, and then we were able to explore more of the park afterwards.

A really good full day of activities. A good level of walking through stunning scenery accompanied by an excellent guide who was both knowledgeable and attentive. Nice lunch included too!

Alexander, guide with "Three Brothers" is excellent. He is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Be advised to get to the "Monteverde Clound Forest Reserve" early.

Great nature tour in the beautiful Monteverde Cloud Forest. A windy, rainy day but our guide showed us so much. We learned about plants , insects, birds, some mammals and the life of the forest in general. Our guide was so interesting, and the time passed so fast! The hummingbirds at the end were beautiful too.

Very good tour overall, and we were delighted to see a pair of Quetzals. I would give this 5 stars, but it says it's a 3 hour tour online, and our guide insisted it was only a 2 hour tour in person. It was very confusing. Otherwise he was great and did everything we could have wanted.

I dont know if terrible is accurate. We were unable to make the tour. Our tour time was 730 am. We were at the parking lot waiting to for shuttle bus before 7 am. The bus was full the first trip. We got on the 2nd bus. The round trip is about 20 minutes per shuttle. We arrived at the gates just after 730. We asked for our tour operator and looked for them. No contact was made on our or their part, which is an error on our end. Considering all tours have been late because of "costa Rican time", which again should not have been assumed on our part. The part thelat upsets me is that we made and effort to contact at 735, 745 looking for our operator and this was obviously not reciprocating to guests who are not privy to the system. And also was not relayed that once in parking lot it can be up to 1 hour before you have tickets and ready to enter.

This was a fun tour of the cloud forest, with some great info on both flora and fauna. We liked the tempo of the tour, where we saw a lot of wildlife, but also had the space to enjoy the peace of the forest.

Great tour and guide who knows a lot. Saw the quetzal and other birds. Just one hanging bridge and has a lovely hummingbird gallery next to the entrance.

We went through 3 Brothers Company and I was impressed with how knowledgeable our guide was about the animals, insects and plants. He was able to quickly locate birds such as the Quetzal which that in itself made the whole tour worth it. We were able to take pictures through the telescope equipment--most memorable.

This is the worst experiences we ever had. Basically we paid $96 for nothing
1. The tour does not tell us there is an entrance fee. We can do the hike ourselves if the tour does not include entrance fee.
2. We were like 10 mins late due to traffic, then there was no tour guide waiting for us and nobody knew how to contact your company. We ended up taking the walk ourselves.

We had Joset as our guide, who was an excellent wildlife spotter and naturalist. He was able to find the male and female quetzal within the first 30min of the tour, showed us a well hidden sloth and numerous other birds and mammals.during the 3hr tour he brought us the waterfall, told us about the different tyoe of fauna and wildlife, all while be engaging and informative. We really enjoyed the tour with Joset, and would highly recommend this company.

Réserve intéressante mais surtout pour les oiseaux, les grenouilles seraient presque toutes parties d'un seul coup en raison du changement climatique. Parcours un peu trop statique sur une très petite partie des sentiers. C'est bien de chercher les quetzals mais il ne faudrait pas faire que ça. Après le parcours avec le guide retournez jusqu'au bout d'El Camino au point de vue de La Ventana, c'est loin (2km) mais ça vaut le coup...
