Marvellous Mount Etna

We had a wonderful morning with Luca driving around looking at beautiful Etna and it’s craters via the small surrounding Villages. We also went into a Lava Tunnel which was a very surreal experience. The landscape was surprising full of flora and fauna - and Luca has some really interesting information throughout. We were also blessed with fantastic weather so got to see lots! Highly recommend! 😊

Mt Etna Experience

This tour was a highlight of our trip! Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable (he grew up in this area and is well studied in all things Catania) - and was very friendly. Our group was small, and he took time to answer our questions, and engage with us. We toured in his van, but also hiked a bit up the mountain and saw the caves. We really enjoyed our time, and would definitely book with this company again. Well worth the price.

Great Tour

A very extensive tour of the Godfather movie filming locations in this area. Our guide/Driver Peter was excellent. Again, we left the tour feeling as though we had made a friend. The stop to the Baron‘s home is very rare and will not likely be available in this manner for that long. We highly recommend this tour.

Most memorable experience of my trip!

A remarkable Etna tour: walking among dramatic recent craters and real volcanic terrain was unforgettable. Our guide was exceptionally good, attentive and thoughtful, and paid particular attention to my safety as we hiked up the south side of the volcano. A delicious tasting at a beautiful local enoteca with a shop full of amazing local produce completed an excursion I will never forget.

We did this tour with...

We did this tour with Florence and I’d definately recommend, pick up was well organised and great communication though out. The small group made it such a good atmosphere and we got to know everybody throughout the day. When arriving at Etna we were given the option of whether to hike around the area which is included or pay extra for the cable car then 4x4 car up, we opted for the cable car in the end as we wanted to see etna from higher up. The group divided with 4 of us going up and 4 staying for the hike but Florence kept in communication with us who went up via WhatsApp. Etna is amazing to see. Afterwards we drove 10 mins to a lava tube and equipped with helmets and flashlights. Followed by the most amazing wine and food tasting, there were about 8/9 courses of food, 4 wines (2 red/ 2 white) followed the 3 liqueurs. It was such a good balance of adventuring and then relaxing. Would definately recommend this tour to anyone who asked

Our guide, Salvatore,...

Our guide, Salvatore, made our day super special. He’s really interested in his work and is so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He told us where we were going throughout the day and made sure we were safe. Nothing was too much trouble and we had plenty of time at each stop. Salvatore explained when Etna was formed, showed us old lava flows, took us into a lava tube and walked us up onto crater ridges. After a generous lunch at a local restaurant, we moved onto the incredible Alcantara Gorge. Fabulous rock formations and great end to the trip. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible, insightful, and fulfilling!

Luca was INCREDIBLE! He gave a beautiful representation of Catania. As a local, he had a very intimate perspective and understanding of the city that he portrayed beautifully! Our group had such incredible and open conversation with him about the influence of religion and traditional values in the area all while embracing modern mindsets and it’s so wonderful to know the area so personally through him. All of the food was so delicious and the granite was the perfect ending to such a robust tour. My daughter is 5 months pregnant and Luca was so attentive making sure she was doing okay and if she needed to take a break, any water, and pointing out the restrooms! He is so kind and bright, he was truly the best part of our day and a highlight of our trip overall. I would recommend him and this tour a hundred times over!

Great trip! Great guide!

Giuseppe made this trip for us. The trip itself is very straightforward. Everything is as promised. You get to see this beautiful historical area. It was great as a cruise excursion.
