Private Walking Tour - 5 Star Experience

Yauli was great. I arrived in Cartagena a day before my friends so I did a private walking tour of with her and it was one of the highlights of my trip. We saw all the important landmarks, neighborhoods, churches, performers, sloths, and even did a coffee tasting. I don’t know if I was walking fast but we covered a lot of ground! She did a great job explaining the history of the city and the different neighborhoods and answered all my many questions. She also gave me tips on how to be safe (aka not being papaya) and areas to avoid at night. I truly feel like I saw so much more of the city than my friends that didn’t get to enjoy this experience. If you want a guide who is friendly, knowledgeable, and will provide valuable information for your trip to Cartagena, book Yauli soon after you arrive and you will not be disappointed. Five stars.

Great experience

The only trip I booked was the VIP option and I was very satisfied. Antonio and the crew were amazing! It was a bit overcast but they got us to our destination and back safely. Antonio kept us informed the entire time. I enjoyed every destination except the last one. I felt like the staff at the other stops were very warm and welcoming but the last stop left much to be desired. Definitely worth the experience and I would do it again.

The tour guide, Alvaro, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and really explained the history and preparation of each of the foods we sampled. Each place he took us to was professional, clean, and had the food samples already prepared. He started the tour on time, maintained a good pace between the stops and ended on time. We had him for another tour of the Cartagena walled city two days ago, and he was just as good. Highly recommended!

This was a great trip for families!!! We have lower elementary kiddos and also had a couple other kiddos on this trip as well. Very thankful for the non-party vibe….yet it had a celebratory vibe. There was music pumping as we powered across the water. The tour operators were fantastic. Shout out to Benjamin whose English and Spanish were fantastic. He did an excellent job of “warning” us for what to expect with arriving and the beach and salesmen approaching. We didn’t feel as though we were hassled. Snorkeling was amazing with such incredible clear water. I like details-so here you go. You get an email 24 hours in advance with detail/ what to bring/ where to meet. You’ll have to bring cash for the port tax. Once you get to the port you’ll wait 15-30 minutes for your boat. Gentle boat ride through the coast. Wild boat ride on the ocean. Stop for Oceanarium or snorkeling. We snorkeled. Literally jumped out of the boat and followed the group. Got back in-saw the Escobar airplane crash site (had an opportunity to go down & see it & alcohol if you wish). Took boat ride to Island. Had lunch on the beach. Stayed there just short of 2 hours. Wild boat ride back with rocking tunes. Very glad we had shoes we could wear for snorkeling (coral is hard on the feet). And we brought our own 5L water jug for our family. Your feet will get wet. Your seats will be wet. All will be wet. Hats will not stay on your head. Sunglasses are a must.

Relaxing Island Experience

I loved that we got to have our own cabana at each stop on the different islands. It made the experience feel more comfortable and relaxing. One of the stops was especially nice because vendors weren’t allowed in the cabana area, so we could truly relax without being bothered. The tour company communicated with me on the morning of the tour and kept me posted on my pickup time. The trip to Palenque was smooth and our guide, Romeo, was knowledgeable and funny. We met local guides in Palenque who were also were kind with their time and sharing of information. The dance show with the kids was really cool and learning about the traditional medicine approaches. The food was delicious too. Overall, a great trip and worth supporting the local community!

Amazing experience!

This excursion was a lot of fun! Be prepared to get dirty! Wear clothes and sneakers you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Also, bring something to cover your head and face. I had two bandannas which worked out perfectly. I was wearing sun glasses but would also recommend Google because it’s a lot of dirty. The lunch was amazing!!! If you want the seafood option, bring 130,000 Colombian pesos ($40 US Dollars). The lunch provided was good but the seafood option was even better! The beach views were amazing as well.

It was a beautiful day, and the people were extremely nice, they provided a nice lunch, and we went to a private beach. the volcano is extremely fun but understand you're not in there all day you get to go in there for 15 to 20 minutes and it's not that large but that's never bothered me the times I've gone the things that are frustrating there and it has nothing to do with the tour guide is that when you get in as people that want to massage you and then when you go to the Lagoon to wash off the ladies there are extremely rude if you don't want this services but just ignore that and enjoy the time it's a unique experience
