What are people saying about Cartagena

Splashy Blast
The party tour was a lot of fun. Our host Leis was very welcoming and so much fun. She should be in every party tour. We loved her energy. If you just want vibes, music and drinks with no kids, then this is your tour! The ride back is very wet and bumpy but I personally love an adventure. Lunch was tasty and just enough. Definitely bring water shoes. It is rocky getting in the water.

Excellent Experience
You get extra special treatment for going on Kevin's boat. This experience is better than most of the larger companies because you get personalized care, escorted by a guide and negotiator on every island. This experience is worth every peso spent plus some more.

Felt like family
Miguel and his crew were welcoming, fun, and informative. They made us feel like we were at home. They played music while we were island hopping which made the experience even better, not to mention the beautiful scenery along the way. I would recommend this trip for anyone but especially those who like to have fun, are social (but you don't have to be), solo , anyone who's willing to have good time

Jetski's out of control. Gasoline Beach
Great place. I have been three times. But this time the jetski's vendors were out of control . To close to the people swimming and the tour boats as well. There was no Respect for the people swimming. And the smell of gasoline was too much. Something needs to be done about this.

Great experience CTG to Bocagrande
Great communication and reasonable pricing made this a wonderful experience! We received a message from Samaria Tours the day before our flight letting us know when and how they would be in touch. On our travel day, Gloria sent a highly detailed message confirming our reservation, providing our transportation coordinator’s name, and instructions of how to find her at the airport. Our friendly coordinator Yulieth welcomed us and waited with us for our driver to arrive. We felt very well taken care of and had no stress about getting to our hotel.

This was a great...
This was a great experience the tour guide Romeo was awesome and our driver got us around safely. The tour was very informative and really allowed us to connect to the culture and the community of Palenque. Lunch was phenomenal best food I've had so far in Colombia.

Best tour!
I will say that this tour was the highlight of our trip to Cartagena. It was authentic, engaging, and very informative. Our tour guide, Victor, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very proud of his culture. It showed in the way he shared the historical facts, the town, the people, and their way of life.
The tour was about six hours long, but it went by very quickly, even in the blazing heat. We were really happy that we booked a tour with an actual resident of the town who was so respected by everyone. It made us feel welcomed and almost like we were part of the community for the day.
The food was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Cartagena who wants to learn more about the Afro-Colombian community there.

Fast and fun
Really exciting. Got there a half hour early. And met our Tour Guide Jamie. Fantastic and polite young man. Who spoke good English. Had breakfast and lunch. Very good menu . Long day we'll worth it. The speed boat were very fast. So be prepared. Left on time and returned on time. Jamie really out did him self. Thanks again Viator. Great choice.

Perfect Unique Experience
This was the perfect bizarre/unique experience that my boyfriend and I were looking for. Our guide, Milton gave us good tips and explained how the process would work beforehand. After we got off the bus, we climbed a ladder and waited in a small line to get into the mud volcano. The volcano fits about 15 people. When you’re in the volcano, it feels like you are floating. At the top of the volcano, there are some kind locals who will take pics of you while you are in the volcano, give massages, and help you in and out. Then, you can get into a nearby lake and fully rinse off. Some other locals down there will help. After getting rinsed off, you can enjoy your arepa and drink before heading back. We had such a fun experience!
Some Caveats:
I probably would not take children under 14 because it may seem a bit overwhelming having random strangers touch them.
Bring cash to tip the locals and to buy other food or drinks. This is how they make their living so be respectful.
The steps getting up to the volcano are slippery and wide so be careful.

Wonderful High-Speed Boat!
The boat ride (sitting in the front three rows) was a wonderful water rollercoaster experience. Empty your bladder before boarding is a good idea. Prepare $20 for port fee.
The fried fish toward the end of tour (2pm) was nice. (Make sure that you have a good breakfast so that you can last until 2pm.)
Bring your own water.

Fun pirate ship sunset cruise
This was a really fun sunset cruise experience. The directions to the boat were very clear. We actually had to reschedule last minute due to travel delays and they were super accommodating. The boat itself is very nice and the pirate costumes make it fun. The crew were very friendly and took great pictures and videos for our group.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
There’s enough in Cartagena’s candy-colored Old Town to keep you wandering for days, but plenty more awaits outside the city’s 16th-century walls. The Colombian town is within easy reach of some epic attractions—ranging from dormant volcanoes filled with mineral-enriched mud to postcard-perfect islands fringed by white sand and lapped by the Caribbean Sea. So whether you want to sunbathe, snorkel, or smother yourself in silt, booking a Cartagena day trip will save you the hassle of arranging your own tickets and transfers, leaving you free to absorb the Colombian charm.
