loved this island hopping tour in Cartagena! Miguel and the other guide (her name starts with L) were amazing. arrive on time even tho boarding may start later so you don’t get left. the islands were beautiful, the food was great. (i suggest getting the fish!) the tour is lengthy and the boat ride can be rocky if it’s windy, but overall an unforgettable experience. highly recommend!

Leis was an amazing guide and made the experience fun. but was not worth it as the boat ride back was horrible. i advise you don’t sit in the front as i left with back pain and bruised elbow. felt like i was holding on for dear life

Miguel and his crew were welcoming, fun, and informative. They made us feel like we were at home. They played music while we were island hopping which made the experience even better, not to mention the beautiful scenery along the way. I would recommend this trip for anyone but especially those who like to have fun, are social (but you don't have to be), solo , anyone who's willing to have good time

Terrible charged over three times checked my bank account the next day they advised it would fall off it didn’t I got charged 25 bucks for one corona beer. When speaking with the tour guide he made it seemed like I wasn’t intelligent pretty much went on their side… actual tour was ok you can do everything on your own Mind you also the actual beer was 5 dollars supposedly also the tour guide told me don’t buy anything else on the tour really ruined the mood to avoid conflict I didn’t

It rained like the world was ending at the beginning of our tour and all day long. Leis and Miguel were amazing and we partied in the rain anyways. They explained everything really well and they are both so much fun and engaging! Really glad we went anyways even w/ the weather.

Decent Rosario Islands Tour But Not That Great

The tour guide was good at talking about the islands we passed by and visited, giving the proper historical significance of the Fort and the Escobar Mansion. Playa Tranquila was super and we should have just stayed there. Isla Nativa wa not really great but we only had lucn there. Cholon is a bit overrated. The boast ride back was so bumpy that people were screaming and experiencing pain with the up and down,

Worst experience ever. Usually I don’t even write reviews but to save yourself money and patience, DO NOT BOOK. The tour guide was GOOD. But for as the overall experience 0/10. Can’t sit anywhere without having to pay, can’t go to the bathroom without having to pay, the water was dirty prolly from people peeing in it bc they can’t go to the bathroom without having to pay. The hecklers were expected but it was too overwhelming. So I wouldn’t recommend and hope this helps. I’m a pretty patient person but this was horrible.

Do not book this tour. They will tell you to get there at 8:30 in the morning and don’t be late, and then make you stand in the hot sun and a single file line for over 30 minutes. I asked at 9 o’clock when will we be leaving and the lady said I don’t know. That’s when I left. It is warm and ridiculous to make people stand in the sun for a half hour to 40 minutes and not tell them any information don’t book here!

Day at Tierra Bomba - Anaho beach club

We took the basic tour at Tierra Bomba, they drop us off at the beginning of the snorkel tour and picked us up at the end of their day (arrived at the hotel before 9am and picked us around 4:45pm) at Anaho beach club none of the food or drinks were included, just the poolside chairs and towels. It was not very clear for the guides at the beginning what to do with us, because not many people take it but they figure it out, and where very helpful through the whole experience.

Overall we were disappointed. Our guides Miguel and Edwin were the silver lining because they were fantastic. The 5 island tour is actually only 3 islands. Baru the first is beautiful. Then we went to a different island of an ok lunch. We sailed by one of Pablo Eacobar’s previous homes but didn’t stop. The last island - the party island was gross. It was stand up tables with umbrellas in the water. Think swim up bar (also known to some as swim up toilets) x 500. We had to get out because all we could think about was catching a contagious disease. People standing in water drinking with music so loud you couldn’t have a conversation with someone standing beside you. There was no swimming just standing in a cesspool. Yuck!

Beauty and the Boat

We had such a fun time on this tour! The water is so beautiful, the guides were great, the food was DELICIOUS, and the massage I got was even amazing. I read a lot of the other reviews that complained about the boat, and the boat was bumpy on the way back… but it’s a BOAT! The drivers did the best they could and our guide, Kevin, made sure no one sat in the front so they didn’t get bumped around too much (which I was slightly sad about cause I LOVE sitting in the front). Party Island was not really my jam, but the concept was still very cool. It was a fantastic tour and Kevin was amazing. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a great time with Kevin and his team as we hopped the islands on this trip. Affordable and extremely fun. We went to a bunch of cool different islands which offered a diversity of experiences and amazing (and affordable) food. The water was beautiful and the people were so nice. It felt completely safe. Kevin was super accommodating and an amazing host to me and the people I met while there. This is a MUST DO if you are staying in Cartagena. Definitely worth a day worth of the trip. Made friends with the others that did the trip with me and it was overall an amazing experience.

Great experience! Staff was wonderful and helpful. The different islands were beautiful and the coral reef was amazing. Get stuff from vendors before you leave (water, hats, water-proof phone case, beer).

This experience wasn’t great. The boat we were promised from Cartagena wasn’t received. We spent 1-2 hours in a cramped van with little to no leg room because the water was too choppy. We were told by the tour guide Kevin to request a partial refund because we couldn’t get the boat. Once we arrived, we were told by Kevin that we had access to the chairs, umbrellas, and lounge chairs. Once he left, Jose (other tour guide) and the waiter told us we didn’t have access and would have to pay 20 pesos. They continued to explain that it’s usually 50 pesos but for us we’d get a deal, “that’s not that much USD”. It was a bit absurd and we felt taken advantage of. The other 2 ladies that were a part of the tour had their sunglasses stolen and it was just unpleasant from then on out. Kevin came back with the other group and confirmed we should not have been charged and to request a partial refund. My friends and I requested this, per the tour guides guidance, and was denied. Do not book with these fraudsters. There are other tours that are much better .

This guest and friends, did not arrive to the correct meeting point and conducted a different tour that WASN'T WITH US. More than likely, the guest went with another operator since lots of agencies conduct similar tours to the islands and meet in the same area.

You do end up overpaying

The only two stars are for the location as in the beach had a nice shore to swim in. The tour guides were okay, but clearly did not plan out the logistics with the beach club access, we were told one thing and got another. So you do end up overpaying for beach club access, lounge chairs and the drinks were not good.

We arrived out front of Hotel Monterrey at 0745AM. Guides gathering the groups did not know of our reservation. No one from the tour operator answered the phone when the guides said they didnt have our names. Viator was the only one to respond. They could also not get a response from this operator. Wasted time and money on transportation to get there. Don't book with this operator. I believe it's a scam. Book the more expensive one on Get Your Guide.

We took the Baru excursion and had an amazing time. The guide was friendly and patient with us(he had to repeat himself a few times). I kept asking questions and he was able to answer quickly. His recommendations to keep on life vests made me feel he cared about our safety and that was definitely a plus. This is a great experience for those people that are afraid of being ill on boats, because this was such a quick ride, you're there before you even realize it. My mom hates boats, but said she'd enjoyed this excursion immensely. I was honestly apprehensive about ordering the fish for lunch, but I felt that'd be a fitting island meal. I'm so glad I did. It was well Seasoned, crispy on the outside moist and flaky inside. Coconut flavored rice was very good and the salad had a nice dressing, tangy and delicious. My mouth is watering thinking about it even now. They served cocktails and I had a juice made from tomate de Arbol a fruit I'd never had before. It was delicious. They have clear precise directions/instructions and that reassured me that they knew exactly what they were doing. We loved it. If interested in an excursion, this is the one you want to do.

For a Younger Crowd

The boat used on this trip is small, cramped and bounced around a lot. Not a pleasant experience at all going out to the islands or returning. I wouldn't call it a "deluxe" tour. On a positive note, our guide was friendly and helpful. This tour seems more suited to a younger crowd.

Great Crew and Amazing Excursion

Great excursion. Chose this one due to the price (the island-hopping excursions are all the same, I was told, regardless of price). Glad I did. My friend and I got the entire experience. The three guides were wonderful--very knowledgeable and helpful and very patient. We never felt rushed and they warned us on how to handle the locals on the islands who would approach us for solicitations (massages, jewelry, art, etc.). One of the tourists had her credit card charged twice after paying for a massage for her mother and the guide helped to get it refunded for her--he conducted this business on our way back to shore. We were impressed by his patience and perseverance--he did not stop until it was resolved. The guides were very professional and organized. I highly recommend this company. The boat was in good shape and captain was a great operator. The Reggaeton music they played was entertaining and appropriately chosen for this excursion--wish I would've asked for the playlist.

Terrible experiencia, el operador nunca llego, contesto mis mensajes 30 minutos después y solo dijo, toma el tour mañana. Cuando logré ponerme en contacto con Viator me refirieron de nuevo con el operador mismo que dice que si llego y que yo llegué tarde y que no habría reembolso. Nunca pensé que Viator trabajara con gente tan deshonesta y que faltaran al respeto al cliente de esta manera.

Les activités sans intérêts s'enchaînent au rythme des vendeurs de rue qui vous harcèlent. A part leur dire "no gracias" toute la journée, on a pas le temps de faire grand chose. Les plages ne sont pas du tout paradisiaque, c'est juste des plages. Journée ennuyante
