What are people saying about Berlin

Humbling, Powerful, and Informative
My time at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp was not only a humbling trip but also an informative one. Our guide Campbell, took the opportunity on the shuttle trip to the camp to bring us up to speed on history of WW I and WW II and the events that preceded the creation of the camps. The entire time we spent at the camp with Campbell was like opening a history book and absorbing the powerful history of the guards, prisoners, and overall motivations for what would eventually become the holocaust. While the tour may be hard for some to do, I’d highly recommend doing this one to get the full experience and the history. I would say this tour was the highlight of my trip.

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp with Roshana
We did the tour of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp on the 9th August. We were so happy to have had Roshana look after us today. Her knowledge of WW2, the holocaust, the camp itself and general history around it were outstanding. She was so passionate about everything she said. Thank you so much Roshana for sharing your insights with us today.
The camp itself is extremely interesting from start to finish. Well worth a visit.

Fascinating tour with Tina
Tina was so informative and has clearly done a lot of research on this and related topics. She was able to address any question we had and navigated us through the city quite easily. Fascinating to hear about and be in the places we think we know about but really have no idea.

Berlin trip
First time using non-cruise experience and husband was worried about getting back in time. Leave the doubts behind. Anne was our guide andthe bus met us directly outside cruise terminal. Gave everyone a bathroom break halfway to Berlin. Previous reviews gave mixed experiences about bus ride but Anne gave useful and revelant commentary during the ride. Once in the city we were able to see everything listed and much more!! Again our guide was like a walking encyclopedia for Berlin. Was able to get great photos and enough time for lunch around Monument of Murdered Jews. We were back two hours early and could have spent more time looking at points of interest. However, totally understand them ensuring everyone making it back to the ship. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I booked this late the night before and tbh I didn’t realise there would be so much walking on such a hot hot day. Apart from that Frey our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Tour was v interesting and even though it was the briefest touch on the overwhelming history that had occurred there Frey’s commentary around the sights and memorials we visited truly made us feel just the tiniest percentage of the gravity of events that had happened and the emotional turmoil and suffering bourne there… not in ancient history but in my own lifetime.

What a great 3 hours...
What a great 3 hours exploring the graffiti and street art culture of Berlin. The guide was fantastic. Informative, knowledgeable and adaptable to his audience and conditions. It was a scorcher of a day, but he made sure we were in the shade as much as possible, had water and stops to cool down. Thanks so much for a great tour!

Great out of city experience
A good break from the city into Potsdam , area filled with old kings and too modern history. Enjoyed the visit although experience would have been better if roads weren’t closed for a major cycling event. Perhaps to recommend not to do this on Sundays where typically major events are organized

This was a BLAST! My face hurt at the end of the trip because I was laughing and smiling SO much! The roads can be a bit bumpy but that just adds to the adventure. Speedy little cars with super responsive steering. People stopped to watch and wave at us. As my travel buddy said, "Everyone wants to do this but most are too chicken to try it." I'm SO glad we did this because it was super fun and exciting! Do it! You don't want to miss out on this experience!!

Berlin shaped by music, art and activism
Great tour that blended Berlin art, music, history and contemporary politics. Our guide Rys was excellent. A true renaissance man Rys is a rock and jazz musician, a DJ, and a tour guide. He brought a great sense of humor and a unique perspective to our group. He also gave some awesome recommendations for local clubs, bars and music venues. I strongly recommend this tour.
What a like most is you get a good breakdown of some of the city's more eclectic neighborhoods.
You will also learn about the various contributions of Berlin’s artists musicians and ethnic groups that contribute to the city's vibrant culture.

Loved the tour, it's a definite must do in Berlin.
Leo wasn't able to do the tour, so he had Yakup fill in, and he was great. He shared a ton of details about Berlin including what it was like growing up in East Berlin and being 18 when the wall came down.
I loved that I could do the tour by myself so we could customize it as I saw fit, and they only charged 20 euro to do a pick up outside of the normal zone. Much cheaper than ubers.
Highly recommend this tour!

Superb!
This trip is well organized and nicely structured to give Berlin visitors a chance to see and learn about Nazi atrocities without committing an entire day and night. I’ve never finished a tour with as heavy a heart and mind but I would take the tour again…..
Our tour guide Natalie was absolutely superb!!! Deeply knowledgeable, thoughtful about the subject, friendly and helpful to all us non-Berliners with suggestions and logistics.

Exceptional tour and tour guide!
We wanted an in-depth tour and historical recap of the events in Berlin and Germany, leading to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Hannah provided an outstanding experience as she was extremely knowledgeable and obviously a history buff, well spoken and enthusiastic, and took us to the top sites in Berlin. Her photos were interesting and complemented her commentary. We also enjoyed the fact that we share the same hometown of Los Angeles. It was an expensive private tour for just the two of us but we felt it was well worth it! Highly recommend Hannah and this tour.
