Great experience!

We did our tour with Lucy, who was knowledgeable, organized, and managed the timing of the day very well. We started at Tiananmen Square. The security wait wasn't too bad, largely because we followed Lucy's advice and didn't bring bags, as bag checks can take a long time. After exploring the square, we headed to the Forbidden City, which is directly connected to Tiananmen Square. The Forbidden City was absolutely massive, and with Lucy's guidance, we were able to see the main highlights and important buildings efficiently. The crowds were huge since we visited on a Tuesday, and many attractions are closed on Mondays, so the larger turnout was expected. Since we also had the Great Wall scheduled afterward and it was about a 1.5-hour drive away, we moved through the palace at a fairly brisk pace. After the Forbidden City, we stopped for a simple buffet lunch near the Great Wall before heading to the wall itself. We opted for the chairlift up and the toboggan ride down, which was an absolute blast. The Great Wall is no joke—it involves a lot of climbing—but it was a surreal experience standing on such an iconic piece of history. Afterward, we had the option to participate in a tea tasting. However, some members of our group needed to return to the city, so our bus headed back and dropped everyone off. Overall, the tour was excellent, and I would highly recommend it. Lucy was a fantastic guide who made the experience informative, enjoyable, and well organized.

Wild wet windy day !

Neo, our guide was fantastic ! The weather did not play ball and was absolutely awful ! Neo was the true professional, keeping us informed and entertained with his great commentary and knowledge. We would highly recommend this tour as it covers so much ground as well as providing an insight into the history of China which is fascinating. Best place to see the Great Wall, and the Gubei water town was a special treat!

We had such a great experience! Our tour guide Allen was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about so many things about China and the wall. Both parts of the wall were very special and visiting the Gubei water town was also amazing at night. It’s worth the longer drive to see these two parts of wall. It was not not crowded at all. In parts of it we were the only one in that section! The dinner was also so tasty! My thanks to Allen and the driver so such a special private tour!

Perfect amount of info tour

Sally was a great guide! She entertained us with stories and answered all of our questions throughout the tour. She gave us interesting information without overloading us. She also knew all the best spots for pictures and was more than happy to help take photos (which is super nice when you're a solo traveler.) I would definitely recommend adding this tour (especially by Sally) to your Beijing experience.

Fantastic Tour

My tour with Helen was fantastic, as a solo, female travellers tours can feel a little daunting at times, but she went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. She was very well organised and messaged me the day before explaining the instructions for the day. The transports was clean and spacious and make the drive comfortable. Helen did a great job at explaining the history of the country and made it engaging throughout. She gave us a good amount of time to explore the sites on our own as well as a group. Fantastic Tour with Excellent Guides & Driver

David was an amazing tour guide and person while touring the city sites of Beijing. He led us to the different areas providing us the background. He also took us shopping to a mall before taking us to see the wonderful acrobatic show (a must). He ensured the driver was waiting for us outside the theater to take us to our hotel. We accidentally left a piece of carry-on on the plane and had to deal with various areas at the airport (eventually lost & found). David contacted the Beijing Airport Lost and Found Department and helped locate our baggage and had it shipped to our hotel. He continually monitored the situation to ensure we received it. Unbelievable service and caring! Keith was a great guide showing us the Great Wall, Summer Palace and stadium. He provided us with a concise explanation of the various sites as he led us through them. We had excellent Chinese lunches both days. A great tour led by wonderful guides gave us a memorable experience. You cannot go wrong with this tour.

Wonderful introduction to some of the super tasty foods specific to Beijing! We really enjoyed our time with Joe our guide, who told us a lot about the food we were eating and some history of the city as well. True Wonders of the World

‘Rocky’ was our guide and we could not have had a more knowledgeable, polite, and supportive person. This was the best excursion of our entire China experience that we had several in different cities. The Forbidden City and Great Wall are true Wonders of the World and all the history and info he provided made them even more ‘true to life’ and amazing as we actually viewed and experienced them. We could only see Tiananmen Square and not enter it because it was closed for dignitaries that were visiting. This was Ok as we could better see the buildings and immense ground area it covered. As far as the Forbidden City and Great Wall goes, Rocky was very well organized, kept the participants in the group, and was very patient while answering questions and waiting on some of the slower ones. The Great Wall is simply almost indescribable. One must actually see its immense size and the type terrain it is built on to begin to appreciate it and the effort it took to build. Nothing else on earth comes close to its immense size and length. The tour itself was great in all aspects. The lunch provided a good variety of tasty food. I should note that my husband experienced a pinched nerve in his back while in the Forbidden City and he could not have made it through without Rocky and others physically helping at times. He was so kind and understanding and I can not express how much we appreciated his effort and concern.
