After hotel pickup in the morning by private vehicle, your tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the largest city squares in the world.
On Chang'an Street, see the Great Hall of the People (Renmin Dahuitang) and the National Museum of China (formerly the National Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of the Chinese Revolution), and take a look at Chairman Mao's Mausoleum (aka Chairman Mao Memorial Hall) in the middle of the square. From the gate, walk to the Forbidden City, the UNESCO World Heritage–listed former Chinese imperial palace. A total of 24 emperors lived and ruled from here, starting with the Ming dynasty and ending with the Qing. You'll spend a couple of hours here exploring.
Then it's time for lunch, which you'll enjoy at a local restaurant before continuing your day tour to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, a typically less-crowded section of the Great Wall of China. After the 1.5-hour drive, you have around two hours here to hike. Choose the round-trip cable car option or ride the chairlift up and then ride the toboggan down to save time and energy.
Your tour then ends with return transport to your hotel.

- Please note that Chinese nationals including visitors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must book tickets 7 days in advance for the Forbidden City. We cannot accept any bookings made within 7 days of the visit date.
- Forbidden City tickets require real-name reservation 168 hours (7 days) in advance and often sell out quickly. We highly recommend you book your tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international visitors may need to queue at the entrance to purchase tickets on site.
- Toboggan unavailable for guests over 60, pregnant women and children under 3, as well as in bad weather or long queues. Round-trip chairlift/cable car available instead.
- Please book carefully if you have a train, flight or other arrangements in the evening. The tour may be delayed due to various reasons.
- This experience is weather-dependent. If canceled due to severe weather conditions, you may choose an alternative travel date or tour, or receive a full refund.

We had the most amazing time with our guide Lucy. She was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the short cuts to get us into the sites with the least amount of waiting. Even my son gave her an unsolicited 5 star review. It was worth the cost of the trip. Definitely recommend for anyone seeking a family friendly adventure

Did the highlights in one go. Great value. Nancy was amazing and kind - all around a great soul. She tried very hard to give us a holistic picture of China, its people and traditions.
The Great Wall is quite tough in summer! So be prepared to sweat, and bring water - you’ll need it.

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Rita Wang, was excellent, friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She explained the history and local culture in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand, which really enhanced our experience.
It was a long day, but it was absolutely worth it as we were able to visit the main attractions in Beijing without feeling rushed. Everything was well organised, and the service we received throughout the day was outstanding. Wendy our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and short cut all waiting lines AND she walked the Great Wall in 38 degrees heat with us. Whether it be in the heat or just a normal day she comes highly recommended.

This was a very worthwhile tour! We were picked up from our hotel promptly at the time Rita had advised us the day before which was impressive given the amount of traffic in Beijing.
Rita was very knowledgeable and well spoken and kept us informed of security proceedings at Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City.
She was cheerful, pleasant and fun to spend the day with!
She really loves her job and works very hard to accommodate everyone all day.
The van driver was very good. He can really navigate Beijing traffic well!

This tour and our guide were absolutely amazing! Our guide was Rita and she texted us the day before to let us know she’d meet us in our hotel lobby at 7:15am, and I was honestly so impressed when she showed up right on the dot at 7:15! There were 6 of us in the group, and she did such a great job keeping everyone together while still giving us the freedom to explore and move at our own pace. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the sites, and Beijing’s history and culture. The stories she shared along the way were such a lovely touch!
What really stood out was how engaged and personable she was with everyone. She was so friendly, energetic, and genuinely excited, and that enthusiasm made the whole experience even better. You could tell she loves what she does. I really can’t say enough great things about her. If you have the chance to request Rita as your guide, then you should!

My dad and I absolutely loved this private tour. Our guide, Nancy, was knowledgeable, energetic, and very friendly throughout the day. Tiananmen Square was closed because of a diplomatic visit, but Nancy handled the change smoothly and still made the tour of the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China feel full and memorable. We took the ski lift at the Great Wall, which was a great experience.
Nancy was also very thoughtful and attentive. She reminded us to bring our passports, checked on us for bathroom breaks, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Our driver, Mr. Xu, was also excellent. He was very polite, opened the doors for us, and made sure we had a fresh bottle of water every time we arrived at a new location.
Overall, it was a wonderful, well-organized tour with a fantastic guide and driver. Highly recommend Nancy and Mr. Xu.

The highlight for us was definitely the Great Wall. We were lucky with the weather, and Maggie helped us choose a great route, making the visit even more special.
Overall, a great experience that left us looking forward to coming back and exploring more of China.

This tour exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Maggie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. She met us right on time in our hotel lobby and made the history of Beijing come alive.
Our driver, Mr. Young, was excellent, and the new, very comfortable van made for a relaxing day. Plenty of bottled water was provided, which was greatly appreciated on a hot and humid Beijing day. We also enjoyed a special stop in a local village and an excellent authentic lunch.
