Excellent tour to and from the Great Wall!

This was my first time visiting Beijing and the Great Wall, and I highly recommend this self guided tour if you’re looking for transportation to and from the Great Wall. Alvin was professional and picked me up promptly at my hotel at the time specified. He was knowledgeable and quick with where to go throughout my Great Wall tour. He even helped take pictures for me and waited while I ate lunch. The ride to and from was comfortable and straightforward. I highly recommend him and this tour, and would do it again if given the opportunity.

Bejing layover

Brilliant way to spend a layover in Beijing. We were picked up by lilly from the airport and even though we had a 6 hour delay with our flights changing the timings wasn't a problem. It reduced the time we were able to spend at the wall but we still managed to see and do everything we wanted to do. We were picked up in a lovely air con car and driven straight there. Takes about a hour. Even though the driver spoke little English. Using Google translate helped with communication. All our tickets for the wall were bought for in advance and sent to us so we easily passed through the gates with a qr code. I recommended this trip if you have a layover of 7 hours+. We were dropped off back at our hotel of choice near the airport. All very easy to navigate. 100% do this trip, we loved it.

Great Wall Private Driver Only

If you're looking for a private driver to the Great Wall and customized pickup time, this is it. We got free waters. There was little to no conversation with our driver about the country/site, nor was there any assistance like others tours where their guide accompanied them on the journey for photos. We paid for our own tickets, too, that are not included in this package (the ski lift & toboggan ride) , so there are other costs to be aware of. It's a little pricey but we got to the site when we wanted to, which was at opening time around 9AM.

We chose the private tour of the Mutianyu Great Wall. Our English speaking driver was waiting for us outside our hotel when we came down at the agreed upon time (we chose an hour earlier than the standard time they give you.) He drove us to the Wall, bought our tickets for us, showed where to catch the chair lift and showed us where he would be waiting for us when we finished. We was polite and efficient, and we like being able to walk the wall the way we wanted without a being in a large tour group. We met back with our driver at the restaurant at the bottom and had lunch. We were back at our hotel in early afternoon. We chose Mutianyu as it is fairly close to Beijing without being as touristy as Badaling (though Mutianyu is plenty touristy in its own low key way). We are very happy with our experience.

Excellent private tour - James collected us from our hotel promptly and drove well. Helped us purchase our Great Wall tickets. His English was ok, he didn't tell us any history etc. on the drive but was ok!

Hassle free trip to the Mutanyu section of the Great Wall

This was a perfect choice for a trip to the Great Wall. Martin, our driver, picked us up at out hutong hotel and expertly negotiated heavy traffic to get us to the wall where he had VIP privileges, meaning he could park in the closest parking lot. Martin purchased our tickets, explained the gondola and toboggan options for getting up and down and walked us to the gondola entrance. We were able to explore the wall on our own time and meet up with Martin at a convenient location. This was a perfect custom option that allowed us to leave for the Wall at a time that was convenient to us. We were well taken care of by Martin.

Marvin Xu was a magnificent host on the day of our trip. He was perfectly punctual and even got us to the airport after we finished the Great Wall early! He looked after getting our tickets at the entrance, showed us exactly where to go, gave recommended routes and we even got a free t-shirt and complimentary water. All in all, a perfect experience.
