Great experience
It was a great experience! Our guides were very knowledgeable, especially the guide who walked with us up to the Great Wall, which we added as an extra.
However, the time was a little limited if you want to explore both sides. We initially chose the west side, but at the last minute decided to do both. A huge thank you to Jilly, who was incredibly helpful and guided us by phone through the process of getting tickets for the east side.
If you’re planning to do both sides, I highly recommend taking the earlier 8:00 a.m. tour so you have enough time. The scenery was absolutely amazing, and overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Lots of steps!
Wear the most comfortable shoes you have. Lots of stairs of different heights. I took the cable car up then walked up a couple of levels. Take your time because it’s crowded. But what a view! My guide was Vivian and she was super helpful. Lots of wonderful information too!

Loved the tour + the guide!
Haitao was a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. My favorite part of the tour was the historical anecdotes that contextualized the food we ate at each stop. Haitao did a fabulous job curating a vibe within our group, and got people comfortable socializing with each other fast.
The food was delicious, all meeting instructions were very clear and easy. Definitely recommend for international visitors to Beijing!

Great day tour!
Great experience to see Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall! Lunch was really good and the tea ceremony was super interesting and fun! Only thing I wish was different is that I wish they told us about the extremely long wait to get through security for the square. Otherwise, great day tour and I feel like I got a lot of interesting information!

Don’t miss this tour of the Forbidden City
Mike was a fantastic guide. He is clearly experienced as he was able to avoid having us stand in very long lines and we were able to enter the Forbidden City at a less used entrance. He was very knowledgeable about the city and taught us many things. We appreciated his honesty and his opinions about life in China. His English is perfect and sounded native. This is a tour that we absolutely recommend.

Best day ever
Wonderful trip, Jennifer was a PRO, pickup from hotel was on time, knowledgeable, fun, helpful. Made good pictures of everyone in group. Gave a lot of interesting info about modern china and emperors families.
Offer us an acrobatic show after trip with drop off after, which was awesome too. Was pouring rain, so she gave us umbrellas, ponchos, sent some of group to Hotel pn taxis so they don't get soaked.
Oh and lunch in authentic Chinese restaurant was amazing too.
Best day ever !!!

Great for solo travelers
This was the best tour I had in Beijing! It was great not being tied down to a group. Wendy knew all the great photo spots and where the entry lines were most likely to be the shortest, and her English is very good and I appreciated her knowledge of the various sites. The subway travel was awesome too!

Must do Tour in Beijing
The tour was exceptionally well organized, from start to finish. Communication prior to the trip was excellent, directions were clear, and we departed on schedule. During the summer, the ticket office is very busy, so it took us almost one hour to enter the Forbidden City. However, this didn’t have a negative impact on the overall experience. The tour covers an impressive amount of ground and highlights all key attractions, including historical buildings, bridges, gates, plazas, artwork, furniture, and gardens. It provided a comprehensive overview of this incredible UNESCO World Heritage site. A special shout out to our guide Jade, who was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and passionate about sharing the history and significance of each location. She took great care of each participant, asked interesting questions to keep all engaged, answered all inquiries with patience and expertise, and made the experience both educational and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing. It was a memorable experience and one of the highlights of te our trip.

Jason Makes the Wall Great!
The route we took with Jason was a perfect blend of gorgeous nature, bugs, and well preserved sections of the Wall. It was a proper hike that had us sweating, but nothing we didn’t ask for. He was the most knowledgeable and kindest guide we could’ve imagined, making this tour a true highlight of our trip.
Lest we forget, the lunch afterwards was absolutely incredibly delicious as well.
Everything is perfect!!

Great tour. Our guide,...
Great tour. Our guide, Bruce, was informative and had great sense of humor.
If you plan to go during the summer month, eat breakfast and hydrate before the tour because there will be long lines to get into The Palace because children are on summer vacation.
Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes for the Great Wall.

Amazing sunset, almost no tourist, Jackie was great
Jackie was really kind, the driving was smooth and efficient! We were almost alone during the entire hike, we saw about 20 tourists total (perfect for pictures)
The itinerary was perfect and we really felt like it was authentic!
Jackie was waiting for us at the meet-up location for the sunset and we were the only person there!

Amazing Wall Experience
Just got home from this tour.
The tour was an amazing experience. My guide was Jennifer, who had such a pleasant vibe and made sure we were all comfortable. She accompanied us to the wall, shared information on history and gave us free time to experience the wall by ourselves. She also purchased the tickets for the cable car and toboggan slide which was super great and convenient cuz it saved us time and the hazzle of purchasing it ourselves. We also got to know more about the jade and its culture in China which was super interesting. The lunch was amazing! The food was great. And in addition got to the tea ceremony which we all loved! Very very good. Perfect to immersive and getting to enjoy more about Chinas culture. Thank you Jennifer, you were amazing, sweet and very very friendly. We had an amazing time

Beijing day trips offer a unique opportunity to explore beyond the city’s most famous sites and dive deeper into China’s rich history. Just two hours from the capital, you can walk along the iconic Great Wall of China—an ancient fortification still standing after thousands of years. Beyond the Wall, day trips take you to other major cultural landmarks, such as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven, offering a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty along the way.
