Miguel was an awesome guide! He was very knowledgeable and made sure our mobility challenged fellow guests were able to enjoy the activities. He took us to a church which was not on the itinerary because he could drive up to it. He also paid for us to go to the volcanic hot spots where restaurants cooked their stew under the dirt. We even got pictures of the pot because he knew the people. One of the best tours I have been on.

We just had a wonderful all day adventure visiting the beautiful area surrounding Nordeste. Our personal tour guide Josef (Joe) was outstanding. He delivered so much information and stories of the area and of Sao Miguel. We had so many laughs and shared great memories. Thank you for giving us that personal touch and showing us so much. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely home-cooked buffet lunch. We totally recommend this tour and especially Josef.

One of the best experiences of our Caribbean cruise. On our crossing of the Atlantic from Europe to the Caribbean, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Sao Miguel. Our host Gonçalo was the perfect ambassador, his knowledge and experience combined with an incredible pride for his home island, made for an unforgettable experience. After disembarking our ship we (my girlfriend myself and our two Canadian friends) where underway in literally minutes, no waiting, queues or hassle. Beautiful viewpoints, photo opportunities, lake furnas, the amazingly refreshing hot springs of Poca de Dona Beija (highly recommended) and the waterfall at Ribeira dos Caldeiroes made for an amazing day! Probs again for Gonçalo who was a fantastic host. Not only did his love for the Azores rub off on us, his English was also impeccable; often joining in when we bantered with our Canadian friends about their ‘exclusive accommodation aboard our ship’ This was a full day excursion. Pick up from the cruise terminal and back to the ship was approximately 8 hours. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

My experience with Joaquim was absolute perfection. It was absolutely amazing to see Sete Cidades and Lago do Fogo. Everything was timed perfectly for a relaxed, yet eventful experience rooted in understanding more deeply the island’s customs and culture. I 100% recommend this experience and I suggest you request Joaquim to be your tour guide.

Our tour guide Felipe was incredible- kind, caring, and passionate about the island. We got to experience Furnas by night which was beautiful. I definitely recommend you go back during the day too in order to experience all Furnas has to offer. This is not to be missed!

I had an amazing private tour with Kevin. He was extremely knowledgeable of the islands history & landscapes. Unfortunately the weather wasn't behaving to view the mountain so he quickly adopted our itinerary to instead see the volcanic lava & caves. We traveled all over & he was so generous with his time. 5 star service!! I couldn't recommend Kevin more.

We had a different operator cancel our tour last minute and it ended being best thing that could have happened!!! This one was a gem. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw so much in our short time and he added an extra stop that we wanted. 100% would do another tour from them agsin.

This was a very interesting and informative tour. The guide was outgoing and knowledgeable. He made our excursion an awesome experience. The volcanos are awesome; especially the one that blows smoke back at you. Enjoyed going to the hot springs and putting our feet in the hot water and then the cold. My feet felt rejuvenated.
