Spend a relaxing evening at the Poça da Dona Beija thermal baths in Furnas during this nighttime excursion from Ponta Delgada. Bathe in the natural pools (tickets are not included), enjoy a guided nature walk, and feast on Cozido das Furnas, a traditional Azores meat and vegetable stew boiled underground in volcanic steam from the hot springs. - Towels, flip-flops and a dark swimming suit due the iron origin of the thermal waters or alternatively a old one are recommended for the hot springs baths.

- Dress in layers as temperatures can change quickly. In the cooler months (November through March), bring a light sweater or jacket.

The hot springs at night were beautiful. They have 4 pools for you to visit and each are a little bit different. We would definitely go again if we came back.

Wonderful relaxing night with tasty dinner, drinking the mineral rich water freely flowing in the city, and of course the highlight soaking in the relaxing thermal pools at Dona Beija. 4 pools all heated to 39 C. Our guide Henri was awesome!

What a great tour! I cannot say enough about our tour guide Paulo. He was so good. Dinner was amazing but the thermal baths were wonderful. Paulo took extra time at the end making it a magical experience

What a fantastic evening on this tour! The small group allowed for everyone to get to know each other a bit which is something I love when traveling. Eduardo was knowledgeable, informative, and a lot of fun! The dinner at Tony’s was absolutely delicious and the baths in Furnas were such a unique experience to have at night. Definitely got to have an experience we wouldn’t have otherwise had on our own. Don’t miss out on this one!

Very worthwhile experience! Soaking in the thermal pools is lovely, but my favorite part was actually the tour of the caldera where you see where your dinner was prepared. Highly recommend.

If I could give our guide and this experience 10 STARS, I would! From the moment we were picked up, we all felt like we were with an old friend. Our guide was fabulous- personable, funny, very knowledgeable about the island and we learned alot about Azorean history and culture. We went all over Furnas, used the hot springs (OMG) we felt wonderful- the spa is very classy. The dinner was huge and very delicious. It was an excellent experience that I and my friends would do again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend

Filipe is an amazing host! We felt so welcomed. His conversations through the journey were insightful. His attention to detail and explanations were brilliant. Loved the dinner. He doesnt normally accompany guest inside the thermal spa, but gave us all the tips and made sure we enjoyed to the max.

You need to let people know exactly where and what dinner is going to be and that is there is an extra charge to go into the Hot Springs. Unfortunately, the dinner was a repeat of one that we had had the night before, and I noticed that our guide had a different meal than what we had, and unfortunately, that was not given as an option to us which I certainly would have taken.

Hot Springs Tickets: As stated in the tour description on our booking platform, the entrance fee for the hot springs (currently 16€ per person) is not included in the tour price. We list this as an exclusion to ensure guests are aware of this additional, on-site cost.
Included Dinner: The primary dinner included with the tour is the traditional Cozido das Furnas, which is explicitly mentioned in the tour's description. We are sorry to hear it was similar to a meal you had previously; this is a unique local specialty we are proud to offer.
Optional Meal: We do offer an alternative meal option, which must be requested at the time of booking to ensure our restaurant partners can accommodate it.

Great Experience. After pickup we made our way towards Furnas and first stopped at a viewing point close to Furnas to get some views over the lake and the Sulphur springs. On the way there our Driver (Paulo as far as I can remember) explained a lot about Azorean culture, landscape etc. Very interesting. After the viewing point we head to the restaurant to get dinner. The famous Cozido de Furnas. Delicious. Wine and Beer too. The springs after dinner are just stunning. 4 different pools. The scenery is beautiful and it is something special to do this at night. We were back around midnight. Paulo was great. Thank you!

The best way to end the day on São Miguel! The tour guide was wonderful warm and enthusiastic. Great stories and fascinating facts about the island. It was relaxing and peaceful.

Great excursion and highly recommend! Our driver/guide was knowledgeable and provided information about the area and the volcanic history of the island. We had a hearty dinner featuring Cordizo, the traditional stew that is slow cooked in the ground using the heat from the volcano. Dinner included wine, cheese, bread, and dessert. Delicious! We saw some of the steaming fumaroles and sampled the natural mineral water from the springs, even making green tea with some of the hot mineral water. Our trip ended with a lengthy stop at the thermal pools where we soaked in the 39°C water. By this time it was fully dark and the pools were beautifully lit. The place we went to had changing rooms and showers so we were able to rinse off before heading back to our hotel. The trip ran from 6pm and we were dropped back off at midnight so I don’t recommend this for little ones. It was a really fun and educational excursion for adults.

An exiting evening and made better by our guide Eduardo. He was very knowledgeable and shared history with us. The meal was good. Walking around the thermal springs and trying out the water from natural springs was also very well orchestrated. Eduardo had us try the tea we brewed from one of the springs. The thermal bath experience was equally enjoyed. A good trip and value for money.

Our guide Paulo was so kind and knowledgeable. Would recommend! You do not need to wear any shoes when you're in the thermal baths. The walking is minimal and it is uphill. That walk is worth it for the panoramic views.
