Our day with Juca was nothing short of fabulous. He was flexible and attentive to our interests as well as our sons. Not to mention he is amazing with a camera. In addition some great family photos, I learned a few photography tips along the way. We are already looking forward to our next trip and will be sure to contact Juca and Maria to help us plan.

This tour with Juca was one of the best things someone could do on the island. My wife and I had a long layover on the island so decided to book this tour. Juca showed us so much of the island, told us all about its history, showed us some of the most stunning geography we have ever seen, and on top of it all is amazingly funny and a professional photographer so he helped us get some of our favorite photos from our trip. He and his wife graciously took care of us while our flight was delayed and overall are fantastic human beings, if you’re reading this, book this trip now you won’t regret it!

I booked the all day cave tour. I only had one full day in Terceira. When Juca picked me up he asked if I wanted to do all day of caves or if I wanted to see more of the island. I chose to see more of the island.
Juca and his wife operate the company and are very quick and responsive in inquiries.
Juca does every tour and he is an awesome photographer who will take you to off the beaten path spots, along with popular spots at the right time to avoid crowds.
I highly recommend this tour. If you are visiting the island for more than one day, book a multi day tour with them. I will be back some day and will spend several days with Azores Expeditions

Juca is an amazing tour guide and photographer. He took some great shots of us in some stunning locations and showed us how to get the best out of our cameras.
As it was our only day to get out and see the island he adapted the itinerary so we could see goat island, the natural swimming pools, waterfalls, the patchwork field caldera, the Black Forest as well as the lava tubes and volcanic caves.
The lunch in a traditional village eatery was delicious and they catered well for different dietary requirements. A lovely spot to recharge.
Truly a day to remember, we would repeat the experience in a heartbeat.

A fascinating tour of the island's geological wonders. If you like adventure and interested in caving, this is the tour for you. There's also opportunity to explore a natural wonder - the inside of a volcano. It's an incredible site to be seen - and definitely worth the trip!
