I traveled to Sao Miguel with my husband and 3 kids. We wanted to see as much of the island as we could and knew that traveling with a local guide would be the best way to learn about the island. We booked two days so we could see different areas with the island and we were with Delfin for both of those days. He was such an informative guide telling us about the island, the people, the cows!, and the volcanic formation of the island. My husband was specifically interested in seeing the Priolo while we were there. Delfin made no promises that we would get to see it however we saw 15-20! Thanks to Delfin for knowing the territories to go to. We learned so much and had a great time thanks to Delfin and his patience with our kids as well!

This trip is made for travelers coming with a cruise ship, we didnt know but our guide picked us up from our hotel and took us for the trip anyway. We drove and got storytellings, and it was nice. Later we had our time to have a spa at Terra Nostra, and enjoyed the botanical garden there. Later we had more drivings and storytelling. The day was good and we had our best time with Joao, our guide. It was a quick tour, but we loved it. Reccomend this.

This full day tour of Terceira Island can’t be beat. The local sites, the island’s history, and the scenic drives can’t be missed. But the tour guide, André, made the day really special. He’s so knowledgeable and eager to share island facts with you. More importantly, at every stop André would ask each person were they doing OK. Did we have any questions? Was there anything we wanted more information on ? Were we comfortable? This was super helpful.Don’t miss this tour with this marvellous guide.

Interesting and informative tour around a fascinating and beautiful island. Our driver and guide José was excellent - informative and friendly (without being too talkative all the time, which is a risk on this sort of tour). Excellent lunch included too - cooked in a natural hot spring :) All in all, heartily recommended! --Tim

Excellent experience despite Mother Nature not being cooperative. Our tour guide plus the majestic beauty of the sites prevailed to create a wonderful tour. Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeiroes was stunning. Mr. Miguel was highly knowledgeable and committed to a first-rate customer experience. Thank you!

Wonderful! The drive from Ponta Delgado takes you North and then to Furnas and loops South after so you really get to see the dramatic scenery. Furnas is a must see! Lots of stops. Bring towel, flip flops, swimsuit to enjoy the thermal bath in Furnas. Guide Miguel was great and so were the other group travelers!

I wasn't expecting much from this excursion and, to be honest, my impression of the tours offered in Ponta Delgada weren't really interesting to me. I was so glad I took the plunge with this tour though. Our drive to Sete Cidades and the northern part of the island was breathtaking. We stopped at several viewpoints for pictures of the lakes and our tour guide offered to take some spectacular pictures of my family. My daughter especially loved feeding some ducks at the shore of Lagoa das Sete Cidades with some spare cat food the guide had. My favorite part was our visit to the Mosteiros Islets, something I've only seen in pictures and, combined with the area's cliffs and black volcanic sand beaches, made this booking well worth it. To top off all the gorgeous scenery we visited, our tour guide was very knowledgable of the areas and provided insight into all sorts of questions we had. He also knew there would be other tours visiting the areas we went to and adjusted our itinerary so that there were either very few people or no one else but us in the areas we visited. It really made our tour feel personal and curated just for us.

This is the second time we have gone on this tour in three years. We really think it is a great tour and lots of fun and a wonderful way to see so much for a very short period of time. The guys are really making an effort to personalize the tour and give you information about the Island. I'd recommend it again -we thought Carlos was fabulous and we had such a fun time with him.
