What are people saying about Avignon

Van Gogh the local artist
Our tour guide Anna was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information about Van Gogh’s work and life in Provence, as well as about places in the towns. The tour also covers a large area and Anna was most efficient in taking us around to the 4 towns.

Provence in a nutshell
This is a full-day experience that gives a wonderful overview of Provence. The small villages that are chosen demonstrate some of the beauty and diversity of this area. Gordana, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge. Her love and enthusiasm for this area was evident from the beginning of this tour and didn't waver throughout the day. If you only have one day to spend in Provence, this is the tour to take.

Emily, our tour guide was...
Emily, our tour guide was engaging with all of us (6) on the tour. She made it feel more personal than being on a busload of strangers. After the second winery stop, I realized this was not a 3 hour tour. With Emily's help and the wonderful consideration of the other two couples, they got us back to our ship before it left the port. I sincerely thank all of you for helping us in a panic situation.
When I booked the tour I thought it was a 3 hour tour (see copied text from Viator below), but turns out it was for 5 hours.
Itinerary
Chateauneuf-du-Pape Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of the most famous names in wine.
The landscape here is sun-baked, with stony, sandy soils, dry scrubland, and of course, lots of vines.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape has served as a gateway to the wine world. If you get a taste for this region’s wines, chances are, you’re going to be hooked.
3 hours • Admission Ticket Free

10 out of 10 stars!⭐️
Emily was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! She has personality plus and just made learning and experiencing the local villages a delight. It felt like I was a local hanging out with a family friend. Emily’s cast knowledge of the areas history is impressive and she was eager to answer all questions. She has excellent navigation and drives through the villages and towns flawlessly. Emily made a point to keep us hydrated and comfortable. She is more than a guide, I would say she’s an Ambassador for Tourism because she left me wanting to take every other tour her company offers. Emily has impeccable communication skills and her English is perfect! 10 out of 10 stars - Thank you Emily (and Gordona & Eric)

Picture Perfect
This tour was an excellent way to experience a diverse selection of towns in a short space of time. We loved the variety and the unexpected surprises along the way. Anne was an exceptional guide - she shared her wisdom and knowledge in a warm and friendly manner, has mastered the must have camera shots, and kept her cool on an excessively hot Summer’s day. Lots of ‘wow’ moments. Would recommend highly.

Interesting tour of a part of history.
This tour of the Papal palace in Avignon was very informative and interesting. The guide was excelleent and easily understood. She showed us a beautiful overlook of the river before the tour of the palace. This tour involves lots of walking and steps so reasonably good physical condition is needed.

Lovely day exploring the Luberon Valley
This is a great tour which allows you to visit a few lovely medieval villages in the Luberon valley, as well as a fascinating natural spring. Our guide Nico was informative and helpful. My husband and I had a wonderful day and highly recommend this tour.

Nice, easygoing day in Provence
This was a really nice trip, and we balanced traveling as a group with alone time nicely in each town. We had plenty of freedom to shop, eat a snack or hike a little in each place. The guide was informative and let us know what things we could do in each area.

Well paced touring...
Well paced touring experience with adequate time for snacking, dining, and comfort stops. The attentive Guide/Driver leads a small group enabling access to the sites you wish to see, and a few surprising places you may not have known about. A day well spent.

Perfect Highlight Tour of the Area
Frederico was absolutely perfect! He was knowledgeable, funny, and was genuinely fun to be around all day. I cannot say enough good things about his service and tour! The little towns throughout the area are all different and interesting. We especially appreciated the Spring, Le Beaux, and Pont du Gard. Extra special thanks to the tour company who honored our reservation during an especially low time of the season when other tour companies were canceling on us. I genuinely appreciated the tour company keeping their word!

Highly recommend this tour
Our driver/guide, Ann, is very knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were a great assortment of large(ish), medium and boutique winery. The staff/owners at the wineries were welcoming and personable. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ann for a lovely day.

Great choice to do charming villages and a Roman site.
Our guide, Joanna, was superb. She had a vast amount of knowledge about a host of things from ancient history to Van Gogh. The tour could easily be two hours longer with an extra hour at Pont du Gard and a half hour at each village (time for a light meal!), but it gives you a great overview.
