We learnt all about Châteauneuf-du-Pape, had some wonderful wine tastings, and also learned so much about the region. Gordana clearly has excellent, warm relationships with the producers we visited which made the visits special, and we were given 5-star treatment. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and indeed any tour led by Gordana.

The wine tour with Gordana was a really amazing experience. We visited two very different Domaines, with tastings but also viewing the cellar and vineyards. We could tell the stops were chosen for their passion behind the wines which made the visit more enriching.
The transport van was comfortable, with air conditioning, and waters included.
Gordana is a wealth of information on the history of the area and wines of the region, and just a fun person to be with :) It was like being shown around by a friend. Can’t recommend enough!

First - Gordana is an amazing tour guide. She’s very friendly and lively, and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable on the tour.
The sites she picked were outstanding and chosen with care and deliberation so we would have a unique and special experience. Everywhere we went, we were the only people there. No large tour groups!
The first stop allowed us to see where many producers ferment and age their wines. Got to taste a variety of different specialties of the region.
The second stop was the real winner of the tour and the reason to do this tour. You will be in a 12th century cave tasting several wines hand-picked by a local Master Sommalier, Guy, who knows wine with a level of detail and passion that would be hard to find elsewhere. His selections and the tasting were just an amazing experience that I will remember for a long time. If you have the means, he can ship a case anywhere in the world. The cost is not cheap, but considering you are shipping bottles home that you cannot buy at home, the value is priceless.
Finally, we made a couple stops in some fields to see where/how the grapes are actually grown. We learned so much about “terroir” and the rules governing local growing in the region. I loved all of these technical details. Wine making is really a dance of science and art. Add in the history of the region, the rule-making bodies keeping a level playing field, and the debate of tradition vs using newer methods and technologies, and there was so much interesting stuff to be learned all in one day.
While I would do this tour in a heartbeat, I would encourage those attending to bring some snacks and a bottle of water. We were hungry and thirsty (for water) at the end.

Gordana’s wine tasting tour was fabulous. We had two amazing private tastings at two amazing wineries. Her knowledge of wines and the wine making process along with her infectious personality made our time together fun and educational. Such a fun experience, I can’t wait to return! She also took great care of our group and made sure we were back to our ship on time. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic we learnt a lot and had a great experience. She was very professional but a lot of fun and went out of her way to give us the whole Chateauneuf du Pape experience, from seeing the vines growing, to visiting a wine "cave" where we could taste a selection from different wineries. She also gave us some of the history of Avignon.

Our tour guide Erik took us on a delightful tour of Chateauxneuf du papes in a spacious and comfortable van. We visited several wineries and a wonderful tasting room on top of the hill. The wines we tried were spectacular. After wine we went on a meandering tour of the vineyards up to the old chateau and to the island across the Rhone where we were treated to a sublime view of Avignon. Throughout the whole experience Erik explained the history of the land and the various landmarks we were passing. The tour was easily the best wine tasting experience I have ever been on. Erik was a great guide, he was so patient with our large group, getting the baby seat and stroller in and out of his van and was a very safe and attentive driver. 10/10, wonderful adventure.

The experience was wonderful. Our guide was SO knowledgeable about the area, the wine and very enjoyable. No food. Bring a snack or hold out for 5 hours. A little disappointed we didn’t get to the winery advertised. It is my favorite wine. But all was well

Gordana is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She is was able to teach us all about the history of the Rhône valley, the wine, and more. She also brought us to amazing winery’s where we were treated to 10+ wine tastings. Our driver, Eric was also very friendly and felt very safe on the roads. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful afternoon touring with PROVENCE WITH GORDANA.
