Your 5-hour tour of Provence’s stone monuments and historic towns begins with afternoon pickup by minivan from Avignon. Enjoy picturesque views of the Provençal countryside as you arrive at your first stop.
Next, head south to the Les Baux de Provence – a fortified medieval village perched in Alpilles mountain range. Meander through the narrow stone streets of the historic center, viewing the town's many original 16th-century houses and main attractions such as the Museum of Santons, the Hôtel des Porcelets and St Vincent Church. Afterward, travel to your final stop, the UNESCO-listed Pont du Gard. Considered an ancient work of art, this three-tiered construction is the highest of all elevated Roman aqueducts. View the perfectly preserved masterpiece of ancient engineering that once supplied water to the town of Nîmes.
Your tour ends with return to Avignon.

We appreciated this day tour because it meant that we could sit back and enjoy the view. Our wonderful guide, Ghislain, was an excellent driver, knowledgeable, friendly and even took us to a place not described in the official description of the tour, just because someone in our group requested it.
St Rémy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence (my favourite) and the fascinating Pont du Gard should not be missed.

Our guide, Joanna, was superb. She had a vast amount of knowledge about a host of things from ancient history to Van Gogh. The tour could easily be two hours longer with an extra hour at Pont du Gard and a half hour at each village (time for a light meal!), but it gives you a great overview.

Saint Remy and especially Pont du Gard were a great addition to our Avignon experience! Baux was too steep and too crowded for us personally. I would have preferred to skip this and have more time at Pont du Gard. It really is spectacular!!! Our guide Matilda gets five stars on her own and the only reason this trip gets four instead of five stars was for us, Baux was too steep and crowded. It reminds me of Obidos in Portugal. Too touristy (but what am I, ha!) no one goes there anymore because it’s too crowded!

It's an easy way to see other areas of Provence. It is primarily a shuttle to the three areas with commentary in between.
Matilda is great and made it easy for our small group. Les Baux is a wonderful stop.

The sights are great. The only downside was the Tourguide he didn't introduce himself to me. He startet to discuss with me to do it german. I insists I wanted to do in english. I booked the Tour in english. His english was average most of the Freetours guide speaks better english than him.

This was a 5 hour tour, we got 45 minutes at the Pont de Gard, 1 hour in Les Beaux, 1 hour in St Remy including Van Gogh stop. We had a great time, our guide and driver Emile was excellent, friendly and caring with interesting facts and history of the places we visited and the areas we drove through. There were only 2 of us on the tour so we appreciated very much that the tour went ahead.

Emile was outstanding ! His knowledge of the area and of course, French culture added so much to the trip. He had lots of interesting facts to share about the areas we visited and his lunch recommendation was delicious ! And his English was perfect, much better than my French that I practiced that day! I would highly recommend this tour and if you get Emile as your your guide, you’ve won the lottery!

Our guide Remy was excellent - very informative and entertaining. The tour allowed us to see some beautiful and interesting places we couldn't get to without a car. Plenty of time to get a feel for each place and take lots of photos (although we would have loved longer at the Pont du Gare!) Really enjoyed our walking tour of Saint Remy.

The tour was a lot of driving time and we had a hard time understanding our tour guide. He was short with the paying customers questions.
The Point du Gard was a highlight. It would have been nice to have more time in Sant Remy.

Our tour guide Ghislain was a charismatic, chill, and intelligent guide. He didn’t just tell us interesting things at the destinations themselves but also on the way. The van was comfortable and everyone could hear him because he had a mic.
We had an adequate amount of time for each place. Every place was perfect and just right, and these places are a must go outside of Avignon.
One comment is I wish we had stayed in St. Remy longer and my family felt the same way.

Les Baux de Provence was truly beautiful. St Remy de Provence was rather too big and busy for the 35 minutes we had there.
It was a 5 hour afternoon tour and one can't expect much, but our guide was a bit late picking us up at Avignon tourist office, and as a result everything was curtailed. The advertisement for the tour said one hour in each place. You need an hour to get any value from the stops.. The traffic was not heavy, so it was the late pick-up that seemed to be the problem.
We had so little time in St Remy and Pont du Gard--a shame. We had longer in Les Baux, and it made all the difference, there was time to have a browse of the shops and a drink at a cafe overlooking the stunning scenery.
The sunny day helped too. Provence is beautiful and well worth the trip. The online booking (and 24 hour cancellation policy) are very customer friendly and efficient. I have used this company before and would definitely use them again.
I would suggest however that if the tour is for 2 pm, the driver arrive in advance to make sure everyone is settled in the van and we leave on the dot of 2 pm, not later. On a short 5 hour tour that kind of punctuality is essential.

Our tour guide was great! However, this tour takes you to three of the most tourist filled places I have ever been to in Europe. The first two stops were PACKED with TOURISTS! I would recommend visiting Pont-du-Gard only.
