If we could give Eric more than five stars, we absolutely would. Our Highlight of Provence tour with Eric was genuinely one of the best experiences of our entire honeymoon — and without question the best tour we have ever taken anywhere.
From the moment we met him, Eric was warm, welcoming, hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and just an absolute joy to spend the day with. He has that rare ability to make a tour feel completely effortless and personal rather than scripted. We learned so much about Provence, its history, culture, food, villages, and everyday life, but somehow it never felt like we were being “taught” — it felt like exploring this beautiful part of France with an incredibly knowledgeable friend.
Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, the scenery was breathtaking, and Eric made the entire experience so much fun. He knew exactly where to take us, what little details to point out, and how to make each place feel special. We laughed constantly, never felt rushed, and truly enjoyed every minute of the day. His passion for Provence is contagious, and you can tell how much he genuinely cares about giving his guests an unforgettable experience.
We have done many tours throughout our travels, including several during our honeymoon, and nothing has compared to this one. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, history, local culture, beautiful scenery, and just having an amazing time. We walked away feeling like we had experienced Provence in a way we never could have on our own.
Eric, thank you for making such an important trip even more memorable. This tour became one of the absolute highlights of our honeymoon, and it is a day we will talk about for years to come.

Amazing day with only 6 other people. Emily -our tour guide, was always so attentive and caring to all of us. What a fantastic day. We saw so much on our tour - no stress, no worry about finding a park in any place. Today we hired a car and tried to do a couple of other places ourselves. What a disaster. Trying to navigate just 2 towns/city’s by ourselves in our today rental was a nightmare. Just finding parking in each of the towns really took the edge off! Take the stress off and just book this tour. It really was worth it not having to deal with the stress of trying to navigate ourselves to places we don’t know and then trying to find parking. Emily really provided us with a great experience!
This is a full-day experience that gives a wonderful overview of Provence. The small villages that are chosen demonstrate some of the beauty and diversity of this area. Gordana, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge. Her love and enthusiasm for this area was evident from the beginning of this tour and didn't waver throughout the day. If you only have one day to spend in Provence, this is the tour to take.
It was a great day touring nice attractions around Avignon. I particularly like Pont du Gard and Fountaine de Vaucluse.
Emily was a great tour guide for us. She brought in energy, passion and knowledge.

Gordana is a guide extraordinaire. Absolutely upbeat, friendly and made the day fun. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the region and gave us a great overview of everything we saw. Gordana was also honest about certain stops in terms of how much there really was to see and adjusted times accordingly. I saw and learned a lot more than I could have on my own. Liked the small group: 8 guests.,just the right amount to be able to move nimbly through these small villages.

This was the perfect tour of the Provence region when you only have a day. Our guide & driver was Gordana and she was extremely pleasant & informative, so knowledgeable of the area (with 30 years experience). She kept the conversation flowing in a delightful manner & answering our questions expertly.

This is an absolutely wonderful tour. We visited 5 beautiful Provençal towns, as well as the Pont de Garde, each with its own unique charm. Our wonderful tour guide Emilie could not have been more engaging. She knows the area very well, as well as its history and is clearly very passionate about Provence and its extraordinary beauty. This is without doubt the most enjoyable tour we’ve ever been on. Thank you Emilie for making it so special!
Pros:
The itinerary was exceptionally rich and well-organized. The tour guide was professional, friendly, and shared plenty of engaging local insights. The driver went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, creating a warm, friendly group atmosphere throughout the day. The vehicle was very comfortable with great air conditioning, and the driver kept us well-supplied with bottled water. We were also given unhurried time to explore each town.
Cons:
July is peak lavender season in Provence, and many people book tours specifically for the fields. It would be helpful if you know clearly distinguished between Luberon hilltop town tours and dedicated lavender field tours. Not knowing this beforehand, I booked the full-day tour assuming it would cover both experiences thoroughly. In reality, we spent under 10 minutes at the lavender fields, as the route mainly focuses on visiting various towns across the Luberon region, which felt unnecessary and left me slightly disappointed.The itinerary also included 2–3 shopping stops.

We’re sorry, however, that the tour did not quite match your expectations regarding lavender.
You make a very fair point: Provence offers several very different types of experiences in summer. Our Highlights of Provence in One Day tour is designed as a broad introduction to the region, with a particular focus on the picturesque hilltop villages and landscapes of the Luberon. Lavender is certainly part of that landscape in July, and we do include a stop to enjoy and photograph the fields when they are in bloom, but this is not a dedicated lavender-field tour. A lavender-focused excursion naturally allows considerably more time among the fields.
We understand how the distinction could have been clearer when choosing the tour, and your feedback is helpful to us in making this information even more explicit for future guests.
Regarding the shopping stops, these are intended to offer a glimpse into Provence’s local crafts, products and traditions, rather than simply being commercial stops. That said, we understand that travelers have different preferences and that some may prefer to spend more time in the villages or countryside.
We’re grateful that, despite this disappointment, you still found the itinerary rich and well organized and enjoyed the atmosphere we strive to create. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to return to Provence one day — perhaps for a dedicated lavender experience, where we can let the lavender have the starring role!

We have been on over 150 tours all over the world with Viator. We finally found the best guide ever. Emily. She was fun, and had great info about everything we saw and did. My personal favorite site was the 1st century Roman bridge. A marvel. She stated at the beginning we would want to move to Provence after the tour. She was right. And to Emily’s mom, you raised her right.
Emily did a great job. My wife was ill from the heat and she was very helpful and compassionate to our circumstances.
Very knowledgeable of the history of Provence. Very good communication skills and explanations.

This is a must do when you’re in Avignon or visiting Provence - especially for a first-timer. Our guide Emily was amazing. Very knowledgable and friendly. Thank you for taking us to the most beautiful places - my favourite was the Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and Pont du Gard, takes your breath away. Would highly highly recommend this tour!

This tour of Provence is highly recommended. Emily was a hospitable and passionate guide who shared her deep love and knowledge of the region’s history, natural landscapes, and charming towns. I can't recommend more Highlights of Provence in One Day with Emily! She's simply the best! Born and grew up near Avignon, Emily knows the region by heart. Emily shared with us her wealth of knowledge, from produce to wine, from history to geography. She was welcoming, accommodating & friendly. Her enthusiasm and jovial attitude made the hot summer day went by quickly. Throughout the day, she always made sure we were comfortable and allowed us ample time in each village. Emily distilled & curated the experience perfectly - an itinerary to 5 very different and unique villages and ended the day at the amazing Pont du Gard. Emily's tour was definitely a great introduction to Provence and I would highly recommend her!

Great way to see the countryside and a few towns. Ameile was knowledgeable, passionate, caring, and flexible, sharing lots of delights. She even found lavender (well, lavendine) when most had been cut early. The cold water she had for us was most welcome as it was in the middle of the heat wave. We had originally booked with another tour company that was slightly cheaper. But we switched when I noticed that 1) all their most positive reviews were for her mother when she previously worked for them and 2) the company's official responses to things that went wrong were consistently "snippy." Things can happen with even the best plans and poor attitude does not improve them. We saw that other tour at all the same major sights. It was a bigger group & they didn't look particularly happy. But they did save a few euros.
We had a fabulous time on our one day tour of Provence. Eric was a wonderful host, very accommodating to what we wanted to see and do, full of insightful stories and information about the region. This tour truly lets you visit all the top spots with time to explore on your own, shop and experience Provence. It was the perfect blend of being guided and enjoying what these beautiful cities have to offer. It’s a long day but completely worth it, everyone in our group really enjoyed the experience and I’d definitely recommend this tour company for your Provence experience.

Our family loved this day covering tons of Provence with Emily! We all had such a lovely time together and so much fun. This family-owned business is THE BEST and they know how to make the most of your time. We were just amazed at how much we were able to see on this tour. Fantastic tour with Gordana! Great energy - genuine energy. You can tell she loves to take people out. The tour was well paced, which rates it a 5 on that alone, and it was a small group.
