Meet your guide during a morning pickup at your centrally located Avignon hotel and take a seat in your private vehicle. At 9am, head into the Provençal countryside — home to a diverse range of wineries — to begin your private full-day tour.

With your private guide to lead the way, enjoy the freedom to tailor your itinerary to hit the wineries of most interest. Visit up to four Côte du Rhône winemaking areas such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Seguret, and Vacqueyras, and sample some of the wines for which the region is famous.

Explore traditional villages with your private guide, and discover a relaxed pace of life away from the city. Along the way, gain insight into local winemaking techniques and enjoy sweeping views over the fertile hillsides.

Do not book with Provence Panorama

Do not book with Provence Panorama! After being booked with them for 2 months & fully paid ($781.82) they contacted me 15 minutes before pickup time to cancel. Apparently the tour guide called in sick that morning and they are so thinly staffed they could not provide a substitute. We had requested to taste wine in the Vacqueyras appellation but when we were provided the itinerary one day in advance of the tour we decided to let it go, but to not show up at all when the only reason we had extended our stay in Avignon was to explore the wines added insult to injury. We had already visited the sites in the city.

We had a great experience with David as our guide. We learned so much on the tour about the region, the history, and interesting facts about the wine making process. We really appreciated David’s knowledge and going the extra mile to make sure we didn’t miss anything and got the most out of the experience. The time was well spent, the multiple vineyards were well selected and we learned a lot more about wines and winemaking than we had expected. The lunch location was excellent — great food and great views. Just great tour all around. Highly recommmend.

We had a terrific private tour with Nico in the Chateauneuf-du-pape region. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and was great to spend the day with. We learned a lot and had a great time. Highly recommended. Next time we come back to the area we will definitely look to do another tour with him.

Thierry is a fountain of knowledge on all things relating to the wines of the southern Rhone. Of particular note was his access to sommeliers that provide a wide-ranging styles from the relevant village - in particular Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape and adjusted to our preferences. Wished I had my notebook to jot down everything!

Our wine tour with Jean-Baptiste (JB) was phenomenal!! My wife and I booked very last minute (day before) because our other tour cancelled when there were not enough people. We are so glad it worked out that way! JB had a full day planned but when we mentioned our specific interests, he immediately changed everything on the fly. He is extremely knowledgeable about wine and food and knows the region very well. I very much appreciated his stories about the history of the land, legends passed down through generations, and of course the wines and winemakers. If you are fortunate enough to have JB as your guide, you are in for a treat!!!

Nicola, our guide made this tour the most marvelous experience, so much more than we expected. His knowledge and enthusiasm for Avignon and the wines of the region were captivating. The chateaus we visited were all spectacular and special in their own way. Lunch at one of these chateaus will go down as one of the best meals we've had the pleasure of enjoying!

Fantastic time! JB was excellent throughout, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We had plenty of time to wander around a couple of villages as well as trying some great wines in the region. Learnt an awful lot about the wines and the area.
